Battlefield Division is going for Reality

Hello,

For over 3 years The Art of Warfare has provided Battlefield 2 with great succes. We became for a long periode the biggest and finest division of TAW. The Battlefield Division has been swallowed by time and is looking for a new challenge. I am proud to announce that we have found that new game within the Battlefield Series.

The Battlefield Division is going to support a Battlefield 2 mod Project Reality [PR].

The Battlefield Division has a long history with TAW. Its been one of the longest running Divisions in TAW we have supported 6 Battlefield Serie games over the last 6 years. The Battlefield Division started on 24th of July 2002 under the command of Lowflyer. Over those 6 years we have supported:

Battlefield 1942
Battlefield Vietnam
Battlefield 1942 :: Desert Combat
Battlefield 2
Battlefield 2142
and now Battlefield 2 :: Project Reality

The Battlefield Division is also a division where leaders were born, who now still make the community the best place to be. Therefore i am a proud member of The Art of Warfare and a very proud member of the Battlefield Division to make this happen and to be the one telling you about this with the help of all Battlefield members we are going to make our division grow strong again. As the game says only with teamwork you will be victorious and that what we are going to do.

The Game

Project Reality has won second place two years running in ModDB.com annual Mod of the Year competition. The competition is the definitive event that showcases the best mods and indie games in the world and recognises the teams behind them.The game aims are to create a more realistic combat environment for the gaming community. The game is even a bigger must for gaming communities like TAW, teamwork and tactics go hand by hand in PR. The lonegunner has no place in this game anymore. Every item of reality that you can think of is inside this game. So if you go into the forrest with a gun today, thats what you get in PR nothing more nothing less:

No more minimap
No more hit indicator
no more spawning at newly captured flags
no more spawning on squad leader
no more i can be anything i want to be in PR, limited numbers of kits avaible
no more fast respawning, vehicle down you can wait and wait untill you get sick.
And so on..........

Yes this is the real deal so if you are the real deal you get a copy of Battlefield 2 in the shop, download Project Reality here read the manual and get together with us, no one should try to play this game on its own. Join one of our trainings and you will understand what teamwork really means.

This Sunday we will be having the start meeting, where you can ask anything. We will be telling you what route we will be taking to transform the division into the Project Reality Division. What our goals are going to be, leagues we will be entering. What the training days will be for now. And any other issue that needs to be talked about. Comms are open for everybody.

A new DC in BF

COL_Malimn steps down from command for a while to enjoy a well earned rest. For his service in command of BF I award COL_Malimn the Distinguished Service Cross

Awarded for Divisional distinction. This medal recognizes those members that have consistently contributed to the evolution and wellbeing of their division while displaying the highest levels of Leadership, Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Honor, and Integrity.

This leaves a vacancy for the Battlefield Division Commander post.

I'm very happy to say this has been filled by MAJ_T-Bone, who's now promoted to LTC.

Congrats to the new DC of BF LTC_TBone [BF DC].

Fall 1998	Wedge (Future DO) helps found TAW and is responsible for the creation of the back end of the TAW website.

BATTLEFIELD DIVISION FUN FACTS

The Gryphons are the longest running squad in the battlefield division (3 years 2 months as of Sep 05)

Lowflyer is the "oldest" officer still in TAW. (Oldest in terms of TAW years as of 01 Sep 05)

TAW BF has had a total of 5 female players (Angelus, KittyPants, Squirrel and Storm since its birth (as of 15 Jan 06)

Fox and Jedi have both held the office of Division Officer the most times (twice as of 01 Sep 05)

In Nov 2006, the BF division becomes the first battalion to fill 5 battalions.

The Battlefield Division has "trained and sent" the most members to the Central Command "division" by sending Audie, Fox, Jedi, JrSunshine, Tomamoko and Theodrak

On 09 Oct 07 the when GEN Fox is promoted to ECO-MIL this makes the top 3 positions in TAW to be held by former BF Divisional members: Fox, Jedi and Tomamoko.

The Battlefield Division has trained the most CCO members. As of Jan 2007 three former BF members: Audie, Jedi, and Fox have been in CCO. As of Oct 2007 the number is five: Audie, Fox, Jedi, JrSunshine, Tomamoko and Theodrak.
