Quake Wars: &lt;span style="background:transparent none repeat scroll 0% 0%;cursor:pointer;-moz-background-clip:border;-moz-background-origin:padding;-moz-background-inline-policy:continuous;" class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1263942988_5"&gt;Tactical Assault&lt;/span&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;This mod for &lt;span style="background:transparent none repeat scroll 0% 0%;cursor:pointer;-moz-background-clip:border;-moz-background-origin:padding;-moz-background-inline-policy:continuous;" class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1263942988_6"&gt;Enemy
Territory: Quake Wars&lt;/span&gt;, created by Azuvector, offers us not only extra features, but new
content as well.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Gruesome blood &amp;amp; gore, new vehicles,
new deployables, new weapons, etc. This fresh face for ETQW is a
welcome revival to a truly great &lt;span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1263942988_7"&gt;First Person Shooter&lt;/span&gt;. QWTA has been
described as a “realism mod” but it is much more than that.
Tactical Assault represents the next step in Quake Wars and unlike
other ETQW mods, it is FULLY customizable. That means we can turn on
or off each individual setting or mix and match them for any number
of millions of possible server configurations.&lt;br /&gt;Here is the website

&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;font-weight:normal;"&gt;&lt;font face="Arial"&gt;&lt;font size="2"&gt;QWTA
also offers us a chance to change what is known as regular Quake Wars
for our “vanilla” servers. We will be making the following
improvements to the basic game:&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;font-weight:normal;"&gt;-Shots and explosions draw gruesome spurts of blood from bodies &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;font-weight:normal;"&gt;&lt;font face="Arial"&gt;&lt;font size="2"&gt;-Removing
the text artillery warning that appears on the HUD when a Hammer
missile or Dark Matter Cannon is fired&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;font-weight:normal;"&gt;&lt;font face="Arial"&gt;&lt;font size="2"&gt;-Using
the Quake 4 Dark Matter Cannon which launchers a gravimetric
singularity and sucks things in and then violently explodes them&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;font-weight:normal;"&gt;&lt;font face="Arial"&gt;&lt;font size="2"&gt;-Using
a nuclear Hammer missile which has a brighter flash, mushroom cloud
and it has an EMP effect on nearby enemy vehicles for 10 seconds&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;font-weight:normal;"&gt;&lt;font face="Arial"&gt;&lt;font size="2"&gt;-Using
reversible airstrikes which allows you to right click and make your
vampyre or violator go right to left instead of left to right&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;font-weight:normal;"&gt;&lt;font face="Arial"&gt;&lt;font size="2"&gt;-Using
instant gibs for covert ops backstabs so when someone is backstabbed
they are unrevivable&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;font-weight:normal;"&gt;&lt;font face="Arial"&gt;&lt;font size="2"&gt;-Using
the &lt;span style="cursor:pointer;" class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1263942988_9"&gt;Quake 4&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1263942988_10"&gt;Railgun&lt;/span&gt; which allows strogg railgun shots to go through
GDF bodies&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;font-weight:normal;"&gt;&lt;font face="Arial"&gt;&lt;font size="2"&gt;-Using
the Tactical Shield Absorber which allows Oppressors to recal their
tactical shields by right clicking&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;"&gt;The 2&lt;sup&gt;nd&lt;/sup&gt; Annual TAW Gathering
at QuakeCon has now come and gone but not without creating some
lifelong memories for those that made the trip to participate. We had
a great turnout this year with 22 TAW members in attendance.  The
event didn&amp;#39;t go off without a snag or two but all worries were
quickly pushed aside as the event began picking up steam. There was
record attendance at this years QuakeCon, over 7000 gamers total, yet
TAW had the largest representation of any clan there.

&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;The QuakeCon exhibits gave TAW members
the opportunity to win prizes such as hardware, software and apparel
from the QuakeCon sponsors. TAW members were also among the first to
get a chance to play the still in production Global Agenda and were
given special invite to partake in the closed beta. Some of the
biggest highlights of this years QuakeCon had to be the sneak peaks
at ID Softwares Rage and Splash Damages Brink. Both games looked
awesome and left all that attended the main stage events for them
wanting more. 
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

enjoyed getting to know each other and getting a chance to game side
by side with their friends. TAW hosted a ETQW 4v4 BYOC tourney this
year. Six teams total participated and prizes were given out to the
winning team provided by the BYOC tourney sponsors.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#999999"&gt;In the beginning there was a god named Aion who ruled over a world called Atreia. Aion created the Draken, a powerful race sent to protect the humans of Atreia. After some time passed the Draken disobeyed Aion&amp;#39;s wishes and rebelled against their creator. The god Aion then created the 12 Empyrean Lords. The Empyrean Lords in turn created a barrier which prevented the Draken (now calling themselves Balaur) from attacking the humans charged under their protection. Within this barrier all things were safe. The Balaur ravaged and destroyed many of the living things residing outside of the barrier.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#999999"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Some humans, living within the safety of the barrier, learned how to harness some of the same energy as the Empyrean Lords, known as aether. Such humans were called Daeva and, like the Empyrean Lords, had wings. With time, enough Daevas were born to form an army. Ten of the Empyrean Lords led these Daevas into battle against the Balaur, while the remaining two were the guardians of the Tower of Eternity, the embodiment of the god Aion. The war with the Balaur lasted for hundreds of years until one of the guardians of the tower announced that they should find a way to make peace with the Balaur. Five of the Empyrean Lords vehemently disagreed. However, the second guardian of the tower was swayed to peace. The Balaur were invited into the tower for peace talks. It is unclear what happened at that point. One of the Balaur lords lay wounded on the floor and the rest proceeded to attack the tower. The two Guardians attempted to raise the shield by going to opposite ends of the tower. However, they were unsuccessful and the tower, along with the world, shattered in two. As their final act, the two guardians sacrificed their lives in order to protect a part of Atreia. With Atreia severed, the survivors banded together to face their new world. Of the original twelve, ten of the Empyrean Lords survived. Five who had opposed peace and claimed that the weakness of the rest of the lords had allowed the Balaur to attack them reigned over the dark part of the world, becoming known as the Shedim Lords. The other five reigned over the light-covered bottom part of Atreia and claim that it was the Shedim Lord&amp;#39;s actions that caused the breaking of the tower. They are known as the Seraphim Lords.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#999999"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The new shape of the world also reshaped its inhabitants. Those that lived in the light part of the world saw little change except for an increase in their beauty. These followers of the Seraphim Lords called themselves Elyos and created the city of Sanctum. The inhabitants of the upper part of the world saw many changes. Having to walk on ground strewn with fragments of the tower, their feet became talons. Having to fight against beasts, their hands became claw-like. Furthermore, the darkness made their complexion change and their eyes grew red adapting to the absence of light. They call themselves Asmodians and live in the city of Pandemonium under the rule of the Shedim Lords.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;font color="#999999" size="3"&gt;Classes &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#999999"&gt;When you create your character you are given the option of four primary classes. At level ten, however, you are given the option to choose a subclass. Each of the four primary classes has two subclasses. Also each of the two playable factions will have slightly different skills for each of the classes.&lt;br /&gt;1. Warrior – Close combat&lt;br /&gt;* Gladiator – Specialize in DPS&lt;br /&gt;* Templar – Specialize in Tanking&lt;br /&gt;2. Scout – Swift and agile&lt;br /&gt;* Ranger – Ranged DPS and Traps&lt;br /&gt;* Assassin – Stealth DPS&lt;br /&gt;3. Mage – Poor physical combat, Powerful magic attacks&lt;br /&gt;* Sorcerer – Long range damage spells&lt;br /&gt;* Spiritmaster – Pet Summoner with ranged DPS&lt;br /&gt;4. &lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#999999"&gt;There are six crafting professions and two gathering professions. Players automatically learn the two gathering professions. They must pay trainers to learn the crafting professions. You are able to learn all of the crafting professions up to 399, but only are allowed to train one up to the max of 450. &lt;br /&gt;Professions Include:&lt;br /&gt;* Weaponsmithing&lt;br /&gt;* Armorsmithing&lt;br /&gt;* Sewing&lt;br /&gt;* Handiwork&lt;br /&gt;* Alchemy&lt;br /&gt;* Cooking&lt;br /&gt;Aion has a unique way of crafting, instead of creating a bunch of useless items that no one wants to increase your skill you can take on “work orders” in which some of the materials are supplied to you and you learn a temporary item to craft. After completing the work order, you turn in the quest for a reward, which is usually a scroll to learn how to create new items or rewarded with a small amount of common materials.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#999999"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;Combat&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#999999"&gt;The combat system is similar to most MMO’s in that you have a bar of skills and you press the button to initiate that skill. Some skills require certain conditions such as having a certain weapon in hand or can only be used as a counter-attack. &lt;br /&gt;The most unique thing about combat in Aion is that you have the ability to fly! You can fly and perform aerial attacks against opponents. You however must be careful as you have a limited amount of flight time and you do take falling damage from falling from significant heights.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#999999"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;PvP System&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#999999"&gt;End game for Aion is known as PvPvE content. End game mostly focuses around battles in the Abyss. Players fight for control of castles. Once a legion is in control of a castle, they are entitled to funding from taxes and players within the faction and get special deals from NPC’s. The game currently does not allow legions to fight against their own race. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#999999"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I think that this game is going to be a hit. There are already five servers in the beta and they are constantly being filled up. The collector edition boxes are sold out but they are still selling digital downloads. &lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Although the graphics are extremely beautiful the system requirements are very low. In Age of Conan I get about 60-70 fps and in Aion I get about 150-175 on the high settings. I would almost compare the requirements to that of Guild Wars.&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I have not been able to participate in PvP as I need more TAW players to run with to feel comfortable about entering. It sounds like it will be a lot like Age of Conan but the rewards will be a lot higher and holding on to a castle will be challenging.&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I know that every game says this when it comes out, but I think it may actually challenge World of Warcraft. They have already taken a lot of the features from World of Warcraft including the way the broker(auctioneer) works and being able to set up private stores. Their main selling point is having much more adult looking graphics and still being able to have a wide audience as their system requirements are still extremely low. Their maps are similar to World of Warcraft as you have to only load new maps when you switch continents.&lt;br /&gt;I look forward to seeing TAW hopefully pick up this game, and seeing it prosper as one of the most active divisions.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;"&gt;	Quake Wars is the largest division in
TAW with 140 members across two Battalions, North American and
European. We meet on Sundays and Tuesdays for our main event, Battle
For Earth. For those who don&amp;#39;t know, Battle For Earth represents the
ultimate potential of the Enemy Territory Quake Wars game. We break
down into 16 man teams called platoons. Each platoon has a Platoon
Leader, Squad Leader and a Fire Team Leader. People are permanently
assigned to a platoon for a whole Battle for Earth season, which can
last 1-2 months. 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;"&gt;	Over the course of this season, the
different platoons fight each other for supremacy in a very organized
and coordinated way. Everyone knows what maps will be played far in
advance and what side they will play on, so there is maximum
opportunity for planning and strategy. Platoon members will create
elaborate tactics and strategies and send them out to each other via
email, have practice sessions on the maps, and even use G-Tactix
sessions and screenshots to plan their attacks and defenses.  (

&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;"&gt;	Enemy Territory Quake Wars was created
for massive, organized teams. Everything about the game is centered
on teamwork and coordination. Often in the public ranked servers
there is not much cooperation or teamwork to be had, and many parts
of the game go unused and untouched. Things like the context menu,
mission drop-down selection menu, fire-teams, in-game VOIP, fire-team
waypoints and other teamwork tools the game provides that are ignored
on the public servers are all things we use regularly in TAW Quake
Wars. Among first person shooters, Quake Wars is the perfect balance
of teamwork and tactics while still providing a lot of fast paced
shooting action. Battle for Earth takes this to the next level by
turning the game into a truly well-planned war where your enemy is
already trying to out-think you. Imagine chess but with modern
military pieces instead of kings, knights and pawns. Quake Wars is
not your average F.irst P.erson S.hooter game, it is a &lt;i&gt;tactical&lt;/i&gt;
FPS. 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;"&gt;	We take great pride in our field
leadership in TAW Quake Wars. Our Tactical Warfare Specialist chooses
the best and brightest people to become Platoon Leaders, Squad
Leaders and Fire Team Leaders. These people can remain calm under
fire and coordinate a fire-team or even a whole platoon and make
strategy on the fly if the circumstances on the ground change. A good
field leader understands how to use all of the classes, vehicles and
deployables that the game offers and also understands the soldiers
underneath them enough to know who would be best in each role. Being
a field leader in Battle For Earth is great fun and being a Platoon
Leader is the height of that. To plan out an effective strategy and
watch your strategy come to life out on the battlefield is incredibly
rewarding.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;"&gt;	Field Leadership is only half of the
equation. To make sure our members know the game well enough to be of
service to their team, we have a Drill Instructor Staff. It is the
job of the Head Drill Instructor and his DI staff to train our
members in the finer points of shooting, vehicle use, movement,
deployables, and other aspects of the game so they can play at their
full potential. Every Thursday there is an optional training session
for members who can make it. The Head Drill Instructor watches
carefully during Battle for Earth matches to see what kind of
training our members need.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="margin-bottom:0in;"&gt;	New content is always the life-blood
of any game. In TAW Quake Wars we recognize that people have become
bored with the original 12 maps so we use custom maps frequently. In
fact, our next Battle for Earth season is going to be mostly made up
of custom maps. We have an awesome Field Systems Technician who has
ingeniously configured our servers so that all necessary files that
someone will need to play can be automatically downloaded in-game
merely by connecting to the server.

This game moves the time period from the 1300&amp;#39;s&amp;nbsp;of&amp;nbsp;plate steel armor, swords and axes to the 1700&amp;#39;s british&amp;nbsp;wooded&amp;nbsp;battleships, muskets, and minutemen. Take command of a&amp;nbsp;Spanish, American, British, French&amp;nbsp;battleships as you fire 200 cannons across the waves&amp;nbsp;at&amp;nbsp;your enemy. Once the&amp;nbsp;damage is done, board and take over the vessel to claim it as your own for the next battle. Take command of line infantry and 12 pounder cannons as you invade the americans to claim those lands for the queen. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The multiplayer consists of battle maps or a campaign mode. was announced, there where some big expectations! In no time at all the Crysis 
Division was the biggest one in TAW with over 100 members. But even as quick 
Crysis became the smallest. What happend? How did it happen? I guess it was 
because the lack of support from Crytek, with many cheaters and so many laggy 
servers. This almost killed the game. Even in TAW we had our own &amp;quot;crysis&amp;quot;: should we go on or not? 4th Battalion pulled the plug out, But 1st and 3th 
Battalion chose to go on.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"&gt;&lt;span&gt;But then we 
were tested again. Because there was many dropouts and transfers, 1st battalion 
had no reason to go on. 1st Battalion participated in different Clanbase 
competitions and with good results. On the 6v6 leaderboard there were some weeks 
that we were second with also 3 wins in a row. Our own Mike came 3rd best player 
in Europe it the 1v1 tournament. In the 5v5 Spring Cup, TAW was beaten in the 
quarter finals. But with only six members left, we had no solid base to go on. 
So again the question: &amp;quot;should we go on&amp;quot;. Happily for us, very quick after this, 
Crysis Wars came out and we also got some new recruits. With all this together 
there was a reason again to go on. And also good for us that the command staff 
saw it the same way! &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"&gt;&lt;span&gt;A new start, 
again! So here I am writing in front of a new start with a new improved game and 
some members who can hardly wait to start playing in competitions against other 
clans. At the moment we are waiting for a new server. But that won&amp;#39;t be a 
problem with all the support we get from TAW at the moment.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"&gt;&lt;span&gt;Crysis Wars 
is a very cheap game if you compare it to other games. So I would like to say: 
&amp;quot;buy it and try it.&amp;quot; You are always welcome in our TS and have a game with

The competition is the definitive event that showcases the best mods and indie games in the world and recognises the teams behind them.The&amp;nbsp;game aims are to create a more realistic combat environment for the gaming community. The game is even a bigger must for gaming communities like TAW, teamwork and tactics go hand by hand in PR. The lonegunner has no place in this game anymore. Every item of reality that you can think of is inside this game. So if you go into the forrest with a gun today, thats what you get in PR nothing more nothing less:&lt;/p&gt;
