❗ UPDATE: 27th of April, 2017 ❗
We managed to resolve the issue and have re-added the SUBMIT-button to the system. Everything is back to the way it was before and should be working fine now. Aside from that good news, we have decided to treat you with a few more updates:
UPDATE: 25th of April, 2017
We have located the issue affecting the learning experience and have found a way to resolve it within the next couple of hours. However, please be aware, the update will slightly change the Final Test and wil therefore affect the way a course is completed. Any questions or concerns will gladly be answered. Do not hesitate to get in touch with us. Thank you for your patience.
In order to give all of TAW the best of the best experience for the Online Classes , it was necessary to temporarily take down ALL Online Classes for a 24-hour maintenance. We will be back in no time.
Drama, one small word that means a lot of things. But what exactly does it mean for TAW? EDU's very own Senior Instructor Sydan has the answer for you! With the topic of Drama, EDU hopes to continue their year of building leadership for the future of TAW with yet another topic that highly affects the community!
Sydan will be basing himself on Lucky's presentation; define the word Drama, talk about how it applies to TAW and explain how it can be prevented and be dealt with. He will of course be giving it his own personal twist and aside of that also be answering as many of your questions as time permits. So does your time schedule allow you to attend? Then do not miss out on this unique experience and participate!
TAW U - Preventing & Dealing with Drama will be given on the May 7th, 2017 @ 3:00PM EST. Don't know what time that is for you? Do not worry, an optional event (here) will be created and should be showing up on your homepage, adjusted to the time zone you are in.

been a year (click here)
very first year in TAW. A year full of achievements, setbacks, ... A year to
dwell on and a year to be proud of. As a celebration, we listed some of the
most remarkable moments in EDU’s still very young history.
day Sentinel became EDU. The beginning of a new chapter, filled with innovative
ways of providing education for the massive online-gaming community called TAW.
months of discussing content, creating material, and receiving approval, EDU launched
the Online Classes for all TAW members to use. The classes have become a huge success
with over 4000 classes started.
EDU is still very motivated to keep this online platform going and invites all
members of TAW to contribute to the classes through delivering feedback. EDU is
constantly making small improvements to the classes from the feedback we receive.
Your feedback means another step closer to a better experience for all of TAW
March 11, EDU held their first University Class. A huge number of people showed
up and gave positive feedback (A special thanks to Cherry for giving the
presentation). A recording of this event can be found here. EDU has already
begun creating more University Classes for everyone in TAW to enjoy, be on the lookout
for the following topics in the next few months: Dealing with Drama, Public
Speaking, Chain of Command, and Communication & Organization. Stay tuned for an announcement regarding the date and time for the next one!
in April, EDU finished and released the first of many new and/or updated TAW Guides. The first guide,
which covers Website Navigation, should help many of you with common tasks of
reporting events, taking attendance, and much more. This guide can be found here or on the
TAW Guides channel in TeamSpeak. More guides will be released soon, more specifically a new Boot Camp Guide, Presentation and Script.

“Education is not preparation for
life; Education is life itself.”
MrHazz [EDU DO]
“There’s two important things in
life. Coffee, and EDU…”
Capt. Kareltjee [EDU CO]
“I am very proud of what my EDU-team has produced, and am excited for what the future holds. A big OOR-AH for EDU, may this be the first year of many more to come!”
Lt. Sydan [EDU SO]
“I would like to thank all of EDU,
current and past members, for putting in hundreds of hours to research and
write the Online Classes, Guides and Universities. I hope that all of TAW can
use the resources that EDU has provided to better themselves inside of TAW with
the online classes and outside of TAW with Universities such as Servant
Leadership, Public Speaking, Dealing with Drama and more. I am looking forward
to another great year with EDU and can't wait to see what happens next.”
Cherry [CC OC]
“Last Spring [or Fall for those on
the other side of the globe] Ops decided to make one of the largest cultural
changes TAW has ever seen...change Sentinel to EDU. The old Sentinel stigma of ‘where games go to
die’ needed to be changed as well as the evolution into the future of online
learning to support this great community.
It wasn’t an easy task as cultural changes within an organization never
are. Through countless hours of sharing
my vision and goals, the tide began to turn.
The trust they bestowed upon me and our leadership team was unmatched
and for that I am forever grateful. As
we began to lay the new foundation it became evident it was a monumental task
and my vision became a shared vision. To
not only learn a new online learning management system to but simply put the
huge volume of content from the original platform into the LMS wasn’t easy and
took countless hours of ‘all hands on deck’ work to pull off and boy-howdy did
they ever. Now with the courses all
online, this enables EDU to continue their work with TAW U’s and TAW Guides as
well as prepare for the learning curve of an entire new website coming
soon. The true servant leadership
exhibited and #rollyoursleevesup hard work paid off for this great
community. With the biggest risk comes
the biggest gain.”
Thank you everyone. For everything.
EDU has been busy recently. We are happy to be producing content for all of you to learn from, and we want to let everyone know what we are doing and what we plan to do going forward.
After the success of EDU’s very first University Class last month, we are working on bringing more classes to all of you. Some of the topics being worked on for use at a future date are: Dealing with Drama, Public Speaking, Roles & Ranks, and Communication & Organization. We would like to hear your opinion on what day during the weekend University Classes should be given. To fill in our form, click right here, it takes no longer than 10 seconds! Your voice matters, so stay on the lookout for an announcement regarding the exact date and time for the next one.
We are also in the process of revising and improving the guides so that all of TAW has written resources to aid yourself with, readily available 24/7 and completely self-paced. And today, we release the first of many more guides to come, the TAW.net Website Navigation Guide. It covers how to use the different functions of the website from attendance to managing the rosters and many more tasks vital to understand how to properly execute your duties. Our guides can be found under our Wiki-page center or on Teamspeak @ [EDU] - TAW Guides (under Operations Command). The Boot Camp guide will be next and should be approved and made public very soon.
>>> Feedback can be given right here or at email@example.com.
The online classes continue to be very popular, we are happy to see them getting more and more use. We have fixed some minor inconsistencies in the classes and they should be easier to complete for some of you. Work will continue to make them run as smoothly as possible.
As always, if you have questions, concerns, comments, or just want help with any of our material, please do not hesitate to ask any of us. Our channel can be found near the top of TeamSpeak, under Operations Command.
Keep playing, and keep learning,
EDU is preparing to release the revised Boot Camp Guide very soon. We would like to have several Veteran HDIs/DIs to help us in the final steps before release, so that we make sure we include everything that a new Drill Instructor would need in order to successfully introduce a potential recruit through Boot Camp. If you know a current or former HDI/DI who did a great job, and would be willing to help us, please send their callsign to firstname.lastname@example.org so we can contact them with more information.
Thank you for your support
