We managed to resolve the issue and have re-added the SUBMIT-button to the system. Everything is back to the way it was before and should be working fine now. Aside from that good news, we have decided to treat you with a few more updates:
UPDATE: 25th of April, 2017
We have located the issue affecting the learning experience and have found a way to resolve it within the next couple of hours. However, please be aware, the update will slightly change the Final Test and wil therefore affect the way a course is completed. Any questions or concerns will gladly be answered. Do not hesitate to get in touch with us. Thank you for your patience.
In order to give all of TAW the best of the best experience for the Online Classes , it was necessary to temporarily take down ALL Online Classes for a 24-hour maintenance. We will be back in no time.
Drama, one small word that means a lot of things. But what exactly does it mean for TAW? EDU's very own Senior Instructor Sydan has the answer for you! With the topic of Drama, EDU hopes to continue their year of building leadership for the future of TAW with yet another topic that highly affects the community!
Sydan will be basing himself on Lucky's presentation; define the word Drama, talk about how it applies to TAW and explain how it can be prevented and be dealt with. He will of course be giving it his own personal twist and aside of that also be answering as many of your questions as time permits. So does your time schedule allow you to attend? Then do not miss out on this unique experience and participate!
TAW U - Preventing & Dealing with Drama will be given on the May 7th, 2017 @ 3:00PM EST. Don't know what time that is for you? Do not worry, an optional event (here) will be created and should be showing up on your homepage, adjusted to the time zone you are in.

been a year (click here)
very first year in TAW. A year full of achievements, setbacks, ... A year to
dwell on and a year to be proud of. As a celebration, we listed some of the
most remarkable moments in EDU’s still very young history.
day Sentinel became EDU. The beginning of a new chapter, filled with innovative
ways of providing education for the massive online-gaming community called TAW.
months of discussing content, creating material, and receiving approval, EDU launched
the Online Classes for all TAW members to use. The classes have become a huge success
with over 4000 classes started.
EDU is still very motivated to keep this online platform going and invites all
members of TAW to contribute to the classes through delivering feedback. EDU is
constantly making small improvements to the classes from the feedback we receive.
Your feedback means another step closer to a better experience for all of TAW
March 11, EDU held their first University Class. A huge number of people showed
up and gave positive feedback (A special thanks to Cherry for giving the
presentation). A recording of this event can be found here. EDU has already
begun creating more University Classes for everyone in TAW to enjoy, be on the lookout
for the following topics in the next few months: Dealing with Drama, Public
Speaking, Chain of Command, and Communication & Organization. Stay tuned for an announcement regarding the date and time for the next one!
in April, EDU finished and released the first of many new and/or updated TAW Guides. The first guide,
which covers Website Navigation, should help many of you with common tasks of
reporting events, taking attendance, and much more. This guide can be found here or on the
TAW Guides channel in TeamSpeak. More guides will be released soon, more specifically a new Boot Camp Guide, Presentation and Script.
KingExotic [EDU DC]
“Education is not preparation for
life; Education is life itself.”
MrHazz [EDU DO]
“There’s two important things in
life. Coffee, and EDU…”
Capt. Kareltjee [EDU CO]
“I am very proud of what my EDU-team has produced, and am excited for what the future holds. A big OOR-AH for EDU, may this be the first year of many more to come!”
Lt. Sydan [EDU SO]
“I would like to thank all of EDU,
current and past members, for putting in hundreds of hours to research and
write the Online Classes, Guides and Universities. I hope that all of TAW can
use the resources that EDU has provided to better themselves inside of TAW with
the online classes and outside of TAW with Universities such as Servant
Leadership, Public Speaking, Dealing with Drama and more. I am looking forward
to another great year with EDU and can't wait to see what happens next.”
Cherry [CC OC]
“Last Spring [or Fall for those on
the other side of the globe] Ops decided to make one of the largest cultural
changes TAW has ever seen...change Sentinel to EDU. The old Sentinel stigma of ‘where games go to
die’ needed to be changed as well as the evolution into the future of online
learning to support this great community.
It wasn’t an easy task as cultural changes within an organization never
are. Through countless hours of sharing
my vision and goals, the tide began to turn.
The trust they bestowed upon me and our leadership team was unmatched
and for that I am forever grateful. As
we began to lay the new foundation it became evident it was a monumental task
and my vision became a shared vision. To
not only learn a new online learning management system to but simply put the
huge volume of content from the original platform into the LMS wasn’t easy and
took countless hours of ‘all hands on deck’ work to pull off and boy-howdy did
they ever. Now with the courses all
online, this enables EDU to continue their work with TAW U’s and TAW Guides as
well as prepare for the learning curve of an entire new website coming
soon. The true servant leadership
exhibited and #rollyoursleevesup hard work paid off for this great
community. With the biggest risk comes
the biggest gain.”
Thank you everyone. For everything.
EDU has been busy recently. We are happy to be producing content for all of you to learn from, and we want to let everyone know what we are doing and what we plan to do going forward.
After the success of EDU’s very first University Class last month, we are working on bringing more classes to all of you. Some of the topics being worked on for use at a future date are: Dealing with Drama, Public Speaking, Roles & Ranks, and Communication & Organization. We would like to hear your opinion on what day during the weekend University Classes should be given. To fill in our form, click right here, it takes no longer than 10 seconds! Your voice matters, so stay on the lookout for an announcement regarding the exact date and time for the next one.
We are also in the process of revising and improving the guides so that all of TAW has written resources to aid yourself with, readily available 24/7 and completely self-paced. And today, we release the first of many more guides to come, the TAW.net Website Navigation Guide. It covers how to use the different functions of the website from attendance to managing the rosters and many more tasks vital to understand how to properly execute your duties. Our guides can be found under our Wiki-page center or on Teamspeak @ [EDU] - TAW Guides (under Operations Command). The Boot Camp guide will be next and should be approved and made public very soon.
>>> Feedback can be given right here or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The online classes continue to be very popular, we are happy to see them getting more and more use. We have fixed some minor inconsistencies in the classes and they should be easier to complete for some of you. Work will continue to make them run as smoothly as possible.
As always, if you have questions, concerns, comments, or just want help with any of our material, please do not hesitate to ask any of us. Our channel can be found near the top of TeamSpeak, under Operations Command.
Keep playing, and keep learning,
EDU is preparing to release the revised Boot Camp Guide very soon. We would like to have several Veteran HDIs/DIs to help us in the final steps before release, so that we make sure we include everything that a new Drill Instructor would need in order to successfully introduce a potential recruit through Boot Camp. If you know a current or former HDI/DI who did a great job, and would be willing to help us, please send their callsign to email@example.com so we can contact them with more information.
Thank you for your support

With very promising plans for 2017, EDU is currently looking out for members of our beloved community who are ready to go on a very exciting, educational tour and become a part of our team!
Being a instructor will require a lot of hard work and dedication. You will have to be trained to teach in front of an audience and contribute in the creation of educational endeavors, so that you may in turn help all members of The Art of Warfare (TAW) become familiar with the structure of our community. You will also learn what each position’s role is and how it may interact with other positions and the Chain of Command (CoC). If you are interested in joining the TAW Education team, there are some requirements that you must meet.
You have been in multiple positions at a Battalion or Divisional level.
You are a good, clear, and confident speaker to a group of individuals.
You own a decent headset that is clear and that will allow you to be easily heard and understood.
You are in a good standing with your current Chain of Command.
You need to show up on our mandatory staff meetings on a regular basis: Sunday 14:00 GMT-4 or 20:00 GMT+2;
You have the time to dedicate towards teaching position related classes to other members of TAW, working on updating documents and presentations, assisting with TAW University and much more.
If you meet the requirements and you are accepted to the EDU team, you will be transferred from your current division to the TAW EDU Division. There, you will be initially placed as a Training Instructor. This is the training phase that EDU has for all new trainers to be trained to be able to teach classes confidently and clearly as well as finding their ‘spot’ within our team.
With a wonderful 2016 to look back at, EDU looks forward to welcoming a new year
of more and better things to come for all of TAW.
For 2017, we will make one simple resolution.
EDU will create more content than ever before...
The Online Courses were just a start...
...so stay tuned for much much more to come.
So with only one day left in 2016, we wish you all the best for 2017.
May this New Year be filled with whatever you want it to be filled with!

Yes there is! We offer all members the opportunity to deliver feedback at this form or through sending an e-mail to email@example.com Do you feel like the message would be understood better orally? Simply hop into our channels at Operations Command (at the top of Teamspeak) at all times!
Completion of a section can be triggered in two ways.
Sometimes the test may take some time to register changes that were made shortly after the first time you tried submitting. If you see an EDU Instructor online, feel free In this case, patience will be all that it needs.
Currently, we are facing issues with automatically rewarding the certificates for the SUL Class. As a temporary measure an EDU Instructor will be manually rewarding the certificates. That does however take some time and we hope to count on your understanding and patience. With the SUL Class being checked every evening, certificates should be coming to you the day after completion at the latest.
TL;DR E-courses up and running again! New format! Updated content! New Tabs and Badges! And much much more!! Link to the website at the bottom! Reading this blog post is strongly advised ;-)
On the 18th of August, EDU took a revolutionary step into the future of TAW and opened the world of MOOC’s (Massive Open Online Courses) to our fellow members of TAW. An idea that provides an online database, accessible and ready-to-use for everyone, 24/7. In only one month, the numbers rose in such an astonishing speed and got to heights we could’ve only dreamed of. Below, a graph shows you which classes were taken the most since the launch of our online courses. In total, good for 937 Students already for TAW Education Center.
Together with the Information Specialist and the just recently launched Security Awareness Test, the Online Learning Platform of TAW counts 1171 Students.
During the months September; October and November our team was busy creating and updating our online content into a brand new format. All of that according to the most recent position changes that were made by Army Command in August. (Check this link for more information or this link)
To celebrate this whole new set of courses, we created new Tabs and Badges to give out. These will distinguish the new courses from the old ones. Requirements are mentioned below.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL PROGRESS HAS BEEN RESET. If you want to to receive the commendations below, you will have to re-read all of the content and complete the new and updated tests that go along with it!
* with the exception of the Information Specialist and Security Awareness course.
For every time you complete a class on the Openlearning website,
you will receive the EDU - Online Classes tab. The maximum amount
of the following tab to be given out is 12.
Once you have completed all 12 courses and received the tabs
that go with it. You will be granted only Online Academy Badge (Link).
A sign of great perseverance and a never ending hunger to learn!
Your feedback matters! Nobody or nothing is perfect, therefore
we invite you to give us, EDU, feedback on the Open Learning
at all times. This will allow an ever-growing, better learning experience for all of TAW!
To provide all members in TAW with an easy way to acces the website,
the following "University" button on the homepage will refer you to our Online Education Center
wiki-page. This wiki will provide you with everything you need to successfully use Openlearning.
With all of that said, we are happy to present to you our brand new, updated Online courses!
- The TAW Education Center Team
We have closed the online classes for right now. All of the new classes are finished and waiting for corrections and approval from Army Command. Once they are finished we will update the classes and get them back up and running. There is no current ETA on when they will be back up. If you have any questions please feel free to shoot me an email or find me online.
Also, we are going to make some new shiny's for all of you to get just for completing the new classes.
We will be temporarily taking the SO, XO and CO classes down on the Open Learning website. There will be some changes to the SOP's and how each position flows within TAW and we will put them back online once we finish the changes to those classes. The other classes will remain up and running because the changes made will not drastically affect the way each position functions within TAW. We will finish these classes as quickly as possible so your patience is appreciated.

A while ago, our Unit went through quite a few changes. After a lot of hard work and tons of feedback we managed to get to a point where we are excited to finally present to you :
EDU stands for TAW Education Center. For 2 years now, our Unit has upheld a continuous effort to deliver courses to our members and build on the future leadership for TAW.
To ensure a high-quality learning environment for our members. We wanted to create something new, something exciting. Something that this great community deserves.
With that mindset, we created our online platform.
For more information, please refer yourself to our previous Blog Post : Here
The main reason for transitioning, is to standardize all teaching for everyone, giving all members the opportunity to have access to all classes 24 hours a day instead of only once or twice a month.
For those who prefer getting taught by listening to one of our Instructors, please get a hold of us on Teamspeak.
The courses can be found by clicking on one of the two URLs below. By going to our wiki's. Or by looking at EDU - < Online Education Center > on teamspeak!
Do not worry, we have created a tutorial for all of our members to access and allow them to succesfully complete your online courses.
Simply refer yourself to here!
The Openlearning website is still a work in progress. While you are completing these courses, please give us feedback through comments or e-mails so improvements can be made.
With lots of changes as well as a promising future for our community ahead, TAW Education Center is looking for a few extra members to reinforce our team in the near future and ensure a continuous excellence in creating a learning environment.
What do we expect from an EDU Instructor?
Teach and train members about their positions
Guide members on basic to advanced topics in leadership
Develop and write in the TAW Guides
Play whatever games you desire
Be part of an active project team
Attend Staff meetings
Find enjoyment in the work you do!
Please note: Becoming an Instructor in EDU requires a transfer from your current Division. If you are currently in a staff position in your Division you must take your choice seriously and plan ahead in the event that you are selected.
People interested can always get in touch with us through teamspeak or submit their questions, inquiries, interest, ... to KingExotic@taw.net and MrHazz@taw.net
As some of you may or may have not noticed, TAW Sentinel has been renamed to TAW Education Center or EDU. Along with the name change our teaching format is also undergoing major changes.
The courses we've been teaching in EDU at this time will finally be going on an interactive online teaching platform. You will be able to read the material, then take a quiz on the material and receive a certification if you pass. The material may later be updated to include text, audio and visual presentations. What this means is that you have now the option to take classes without having to come up to EDU and schedule one with our staff. We will still provide traditional teaching to individuals that prefer to learn that way.
The courses go through Alpha and Beta with the courses so if you see them in Alpha or Beta, they're NOT live and awardable.
We are recruiting EDU members to help manage and develop the Learning Management System.
