Sunday, November 17th, 2013 @ 1700HRS EST (5PM EST) we will be having representatives from Zenimax, the developer of The Elder Scrolls Online coming on to our TeamSpeak in order to discuss the game with us and answer any questions that they can.
This will be a moderated chat format, as we would like to keep it organized and professional.
This is open to TAW members ONLY, no guests. As this is not something that Zenimax has done in the past, or intends on doing in the future. This is a TAW exclusive event. And they have requested that we do not share anything outside of our community, nor do we record it. So it would be appreciated if this request is respected.
Keep in mind as there is an NDA in place, they may not be able to answer ALL your questions.
Also, this is a major favor that they are doing for us, so keep that in mind. Please do not use this to air your concerns or disappointments with the game so far.
Keep in mind all TAW policies and the Code Of Ethics apply.
If you have any questions, please contact Shindig@taw.net or on TeamSpeak.
Lieutenant Colonel Shindig
Neverwinter Online Division Commander
The Art Of Warfare
I have been in contact with Zenimax in regards to the development of The Elder Scrolls Online. What they are willing to do is come onto our TeamSpeak and meet with our community in regards to their game.
There is a stipulation, however.
They request that we forward a list of all questions to them before hand so that PR can go over it and give us the best answers. It is also to control what sort of information is given out, as they are in the closed beta portion and an NDA does apply.
So what I am asking is that you all post a list of questions that you have for the team here, I will then research those questions to ensure that it has not yet been answered, and if they have not, I will compile a list and e-mail it to the team.
Once they have reviews the list and have the answers the will setup a day and time to come online and chat with us.
I cannot control what times they are available, so if the time is not optimal for EU or OC, I do apologize, but we have to work within the time frame of a mostly NA developer team.
As per request from KingCheese, I would like to invite those of you interested in Elder Scrolls Online to meet together on Sunday, October 13th, 2013 @ 1300HRS EST / 1800HRS GMT. A secondary time can be added for OC members if you have a group that wishes to meet on this.
This is NOT a spin-up meeting.
This meeting will be to gauge interest, as well as discuss features in the game and how they might affect TAW. We will also be discussing the guild system, and any other features you wish to discuss. There will be time made for a Q&A also.
I will create a temporary channel for this meeting in the Vanguard Channel.

Star Trek Online
VG ENGAGE !!!! Star Trek Online has shown
itself in TAW before however this time it comes back with a bite, its new F2P
and its new expansion will have trekkies quaking in their boots!!! Here is a
rundown on the game
Star Trek Online, often abbreviated as STO, is a massively
multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by Cryptic
Studios based on the popular Star Trek series created
by Gene Roddenberry. The game is set in the 25th century, 30 years after
the events of Star Trek: Nemesis. Star Trek Online is
the first massively multiplayer online role-playing game within the Star
Trekfranchise and was released on February 2, 2010. At launch, the game
required a game purchase and a recurring monthly fee.
On January 17, 2012 it relaunched with a tier
of free-to-play access available. However, due to it being
transferred to free to play, the game is no longer available as a retail game
and can be downloaded from Perfect World Entertainment.
Star Trek Online is set in the year 2409, thirty years after the events
of Star Trek: Nemesis. The peace treaty between the United
Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire, established in Star
Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and strengthened by the Dominion
War arc of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, has collapsed, and both
sides are once again at war. The Romulan Star Empire continues to
deal with the fallout of the loss of their homeworld twenty-two years earlier
(as shown in J. J. Abrams' Star Trek reboot), and
the Borg Collective has re-emerged as a major threat.
Each player is the captain of their own
individual ship, utilizing any and all officers who have access to a ship,
including the player's character. In keeping with naval tradition, anyone who
commands a ship, regardless of his or her actual rank, is considered a de facto
"captain".Players can start in Star Trek initially in only one
faction as a Federation Captain, but other factions unlock as players level up.
Currently there are three factions available: Federation, Klingon and Romulan. With
the newest patch Legacy of Romulus, The Klingon and Romulan factions could now
be started at level 1 Bridge Officers have a separate progression,
including the purchase of skills and equipment, and can be promoted to higher
ranks by their ship's captain.
The game features references to several
famous storylines, ships, and characters from various Star Trek shows. The
story unfolds in the standard timeline established within the televised Star
Trek series, mostly ignoring the events presented in Abrams' Star Trek reboot,
which is set in an alternate timeline. However, it does follow the plot from
the reboot - the destruction of Romulus - that is within the "prime"
Star Trek universe. One confirmed reference to Abrams' film was revealed when Zachary
Quinto announced at the 2009 Spike TV Video Game Awards that he will be
voicing dialogue during the game's tutorial. Leonard Nimoy is heard
for all of the gameplay and exploration voice-over samples. The LCARS computer
system dialog is voiced by a Majel Barrett impersonator.
In Star Trek Online, each
player acts as the captain of his own ship. Players are able to play as a
starship, controlling the ship's engineering, tactical and science systems by
keyboard/mouse or using an on-screen console. Players can also "beam
down" and move around as a player character in various settings with
access to weapons and specific support and combat skills relating to their own
character's class. The two combat systems are intertwined throughout the game:
away-team missions feature fast-paced "run-and-gun" combat, while
space combat stresses the long-term tactical aspect of combat between capital
ships. Both are offered in concert with the Star Trek storyline and emphasize
ship positioning to efficiently utilize shields during space combat, as well as
the player's away team's positioning in consideration of flanking damage and
finding various weaknesses to exploit during ground combat.

With MMO's doing well in TAW Vanguard have
brought in a MMO that stems from a lot of TAW members past with games like
Baulders Gate and Neverwinter Nights , I personally grew up on these games and
loved them all so it's only fitting that the Best online gaming community
should show it some grace and place it in our ranks , here is a rundown of the
game and some lore !
One hundred years have passed since the
Spellplague forever changed the magical and mysterious lands of Faerûn. Mighty
empires fell and great cities toppled, leaving only monster-haunted ruins and
survivors struggling to rebuild.
The city of Neverwinter, the Jewel of the North, seemed blessed by the gods.
While the rest of the Sword Coast was devastated by the event, Neverwinter
survived largely intact. But this was only a temporary reprieve from its
inevitable doom. Nearly 75 years later, a volcanic eruption rained fire, ash
and molten fury upon the city, annihilating everything in its wake.
Today, Neverwinter has restored much of its former glory. Lord Neverember of
Waterdeep has taken the city under his protection and put forth a call to all
adventurers and heroes of the Savage North to help rebuild Neverwinter in the
hopes that one day he can lay claim to her throne and crown. But evil forces
conspire in the dark places of the world, seeking to undermine all...
Explore and defend one of the most beloved
cities from Dungeons & Dragons as it rises from the ashes of destruction.
This action RPG set in an immersive MMO world will take you from the besieged
walls of the city to subterranean passageways in search of forgotten secrets
and lost treasure.
Challenging, Complex, Classic
Epic stories, action combat and classic
roleplaying await those heroes courageous enough to enter the fantastic world
of Toril and the ruined City of Neverwinter.

MechWarrior Online is a real-time game
where one day in the real world is equal to one day in the game. January 1,
2012 is equal to January 1, 3049. Players take the role of piloting BattleMechs,

this may be the direction MechWarrior Online will head after launch of the
