    Re: Coms help ..

Sorry bud, I haven't been ignoring this thread I just have nothing to add. Most com issues I've heard being solved involve running as adminstrater on vista. In regards to XP issues - I haven't encountered too many of them. I'll definately keep my eyes open for anything that may help you.

     Good luck friend

    Re: Coms help ..

If you are using a mic with a mini jack the mic boost is not turned on by defualt. Double click the speaker in your task tray. Then click options / properties click the Recording button make sure Microphone is checked click ok. Now click the advance control button and look for the mic boost box and put a check in there and click ok. Last slide the volume slider all the way up.

If you are using a USB mic then double click the speaker in your task tray, then click options / properties click the recording button. Make sure micophone is checked and click ok. Then just slide the slider all the way up that is all you can do with usb mics.

Last most mics are unidirectional mics so make sure you are facing into the mic and that is close enough to pic up sound as desktop/headset mics are not of a high quality and lack sensitivity

     Thank you for your reply.

I unfortunatly had to redoo the hard drive and every thing works fine now.

Im not sure what the problem was in the end but it seamed to be a driver confilict of sum sort .

I did use the Info you gave me thought to boost my mic up alot.

and if any one has a low mic i would recomend that ...

If you are using a mic with a mini jack the mic boost is not turned on by defualt. Double click the speaker in your task tray. Then click options / properties click the Recording button make sure Microphone is checked click ok. Now click the advance control button and look for the mic boost box and put a check in there and click ok. Last slide the volume slider all the way up.

thank you for your help and advice.
