TAW is many things: A family, a safe place, kind of like Cheers where "everybody knows your name", and more. TAW is where we come together under a unified name and have fun. We do something that we enjoy, playing video games with people who become our friends and online family.
But how did we get here? Well, the key dates on the TAW journey is found here (that'll help you know the Information Specialist Badge). But how we got here is because members continue to pump the "lifeblood" of TAW, recruiting.
Whether it be on forums, TWITCH, Youtube, or in game, members are recruiting. It could be something as easy as throwing up a short post in game like "Great game. If you're interested in making some new friends and gaming with a steady group, check us out at taw.net" or add some humor "friends don't let friends die alone, check us out at taw.net" (the post some used back in RS Days when we got our butts handed to us but were good sports about it.....and yes, it worked). But the point is, we grow by recruiting. Someone recruited each and every one of us to TAW and we're still here because we enjoy it. Sure some Divisions have gotten smaller, it just means they need to recruit again to their Division.
Some people are intimidated by recruiting. By this, I mean they are afraid to make recruitment posts because there are people out there in the games we play, who are "salty" or "toxic"
Ignore those salty people, they forget that they are just playing a game. Don't be afraid of them and don't let that fear control you. Put that post out there for recruiting, who knows, it could be that post that brings in your next friend. There's been times where I've had the worst matches of my life, but I still put the recruitment post out there. Why? Because my division couldn't grow if I wasn't doing my part and helping recruit. It takes 2-10 min to write a recruitment post on the forums and less than a minute to type a recruitment post in game. It doesn't have to be complicated, just "welcoming" and make it unique to your personality (still keep it within the CoE please).
So, for those who are recruiting masters, any tips you have for the others out there in TAW to help them recruit more?

I love the little shout out to Sheer on Slide 4
Not sure where to put this but it seems the most recent to necro without starting a new conversation. I made an image and posted it to twitter. Tried to resize the image a few times to make it look better on the scroll but I can't say I make ads for twitter often. Sorry if the three posts caused any issue for your twitter handler. That said, if you have a template size you rather I could help out on the graphics end for stuff like this as I would be more comfortable doing the art over recruiting but can do my part that way as well.
