I would like to join you guys in Anthem in 1-3 hours once my demo downloads, is this okay since I left TAW a bit back?
This game is far better than i expected it to be.

Just hop into the TS and message someone from there, they should be able to drag you down to the Anthem channel.
Does anyone have spare key left? Wanna try the game out before i buy it. Tnx in advance

Sure thing, though since its been awhile since I used TS3, could someone PM me the password if that is okay? :)
Having fun on the weekend demo run in Storm.
I'm curious to hear what people thought of the demo! I thought that it felt great to play. I picked colossus for most of my play time, and it was just very satisfying to stomp around blasting things with fire and lighting. I have some concerns with mechanics (underwater travel!) and worry the missions might end up being a bit repetitive. But other than that I'm very optimistic. Especially considering the demo is a 6 week old build.
How about the rest of you that played? Was it a hit or a miss for you?

My thoughts on the demo:
Well putting the server issues to the side as I expected these.
The game looked good visually, the whole experience was better than I expected.
It has taken all the best parts of Warframe, Destiny and Diablo and put them into a nice package.
I really liked playing storm, something about being up that high while raining down dps made it feel really great and different from any game i have played in the past. Also with storm I was mainly always in the air.
When teamed with a colossus made it easier to play and more combos.
Doing the melee attack from up above high was great and did so much damage but you then had to get air born asap to get the Shields back up.
Only worry for the game is as you said it might get repetitive and I hope lvl 30 is not the max lvl
Roll on 22nd Feb till i get back into this.
BTW my origin is warlohn if anyone wants to add me for some groups in this game.
I played on PS4, I thought the game was great. Like Destiny, but with more variety since you can swap 'class' each mission
Max level is only 30 confirmed, but I do think there will be a wide variety of replayability with 3 difficulties past hard once you hit 30, and future story missions will be free.
They certainly have a long term plan for this.
They'll probably up the amount of xp needed to go unto the next level in the final version. Bioware had stated that the rate of xp gain were increased to match the duration and feel of a demo session. They also locked out a few mission variations in the demo, so hopefully whatever was locked out are good once we get out hands on it.
I did not have time to get into my VIP demo, but having watched gameplay from several prominent Youtubers and having read impressions from notable gaming journalists/pundits, I'm having good hope for the final product. I am curious about how grindy the final game will be though, and I'm going to keep an eye on the cosmetic microtransaction, since they lowered the prices of MTX for the demo (though the final cost of each cosmetic will be relatively similar to demo).
My biggest gripe regarding Anthem is technical issues. There were a lot of bugs, quite a bit of glitches, and EA's server performances are clearly lacking during this demo weekends. I know Bioware put out a press release saying they are aware of technical issues and are looking to resolve it for the open demo. But I do wonders, will they have enough time to smooth out a significant portion of them in time for the open demo (and the final game)? If people are having a hard time getting into the game or getting immersed in Anthem because of freezing, randomly disappearing enemies, or loss of in-game audio that requires a full restart of the game...it'll be a problem.
Gameplay mechanics, story, progression, loot drop amount, and world building (and graphic) in Anthem are pulling me further in. The gameplay mechanics are similar to ME Andromeda, and for all the issues MEA has, gameplay is not one of them. But technical issues are currently making me go "hold up, wait a minute" so far. An amazing game can go from a 10 to a 7 if players can't really go play. So I have high hope for Anthem, but I hope issues get ironed out in a reasonable pace.
Having played the Demo since Friday and previously, it had very good impressions on me.
The game is well built, with game-play taking center stage. Every javelin is well made, unique in its combat and style, and offers equal amount of fun and utility to the others. Playing with friends enhances an already good experience, which is always good. This game is definitely one that is better experienced personally than seen, as I saw many who didn't play it say it was something, only to revert back once they did actually play it. So for that, the game has solid foundations.
As for the loot, its wonderful. Grinding will definitely be something, and reaching a solid build with your javelin will take time, even more with 3 other javelins. Pushing technical issues aside, which can be expected from a game of such caliber and title, the game will definitely be something to put many hours into.
Regarding a few things brought up:
Also, here is a video by RyanCentral highlighting the differences. They are quite different.
Anthem - Difference between VIP Demo and Final Game
Thanks for sharing that Alas. Good to hear that the version he played a week ago felt so much more polished!
Any one try PC, I loaded the Demo the first week, could not get passed the DirectX errors, second week, was a patch, finally got to play the game, was very slow in town, in game play better, only lasted about 10minutes till the game just shut down. I am hopping they will get it fixed by release, look like a great game, lots of bugs, but you got to start some where.
Happy gaming
