So I was looking at some of the mech games that are coming out and I have seen these two. I am interested in both, and was wondering if anyone else would be willing to play when they came out and start up a division for TAW. Let me know what you think. Thank you.
Mech Warrior Online. Definitely a classic for those old enough to remember all the games. The latest installment looks good as well and I personally am really excited about this one.

The next game is Hawken. This is an indie game created by a small team, and looks very good as well. This one apparently is going to be MP only.

We're keeping a close eye on both of them here, and both look like great games. I'd love to see them myself as I love mech games.
Well it looks like Hawken at least has a signup for beta now. If you all would be so kind, use the following link and help me get my callsign reserved before beta begins. This will also allow you to be enlisted in the beta as well. Would be great to see a bunch of TAW on the beta for the game.

Some of the info I'd like to find about these games are:
-team and game sizes? (how many people play together at once?)
-more concrete information on release windows
-information on playable states of the game between now and when the game comes out (alphas, betas, open, closed? will there be a significant "down time" before the game launches when there is nothing available to play? etc.
Is this brother-Horizon teams i smell? :D
By the way. Alot of people are directly denieing the autencity of the MWO trailer.
Look at the comments here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgNfrsuiXgY&feature=related
True enough there. It is an old video. The game is in polish phase, and so far looks promising. IDK what's happening with it, I just still look forward to it.
Both teams are probably keeping info until June which is the month of E3. I loved the armor core series due to its customization, so I'm looking more forward to Hawken

We haven't announced team and game sizes, however I can give you a tiny bit more information on the release schedule: We're launching open beta on 12.12.12; closed beta will happen before then.
We will be giving gamers more videos on gameplay before beta testing begins. Stay tuned on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, or PlayHawken.com for breaking news.
well, if you'd like, you could contact some of the higher ranking TAW members to see if you could gather a large following within our clan, possibly allowing us to help with testing with large numbers of people.
I can say for myself, being a fanboy of anything with mechs in it, I would only be too happy to help :)
Yes, we have quite a few people that remember the old mech games and I believe would be happy to play Hawken. We could definitely show a good presence for alpha / beta testing and stress tests.
chromehounds ftw \o/
If we're going there... Go MW 1-4 with expansions, Chrome Hounds, Phantom Crash, SLAI, EVE, Armored Core(EVERY SINGLE ONE), Cowboy Online, Transformers, name a mech game I've probably played it, even some korean ones! Betas are old news to a lot of TAW members, and myself and some other external media people have the capability to help distribute small amounts of beta invites and making videos and streams for gameplay. Feel free to contact us here in external, and we can get you in touch with the right people inside TAW for testing. If you want some heavy stress testers, Shmeecow and myself are both heavily invested into tech and testing.
Also it's great to see a representative here. It's always good to get to hear from them. I've watched the videos so many times!!! Right i should stop fanboying now shouldn't I? I'M JUST SHO EXCITED!
Aww shucks, skatcat. Thanks.
Some of the TAW community reached out to me recently (skatcat and Xeno Killa) about getting actively involved in the closed beta testing process. THANK YOU!!! So much of the success of the game will be in the quality of testing. ==Nobody likes a bug, amiright?==
I hope that everyone that's interested registers through playhawken.com. Also, there is a lot of benefit to knowing the gameplay tricks by the time the general public gets its hands on it (12.12.12). Your clan can really dominate the competition.
If anyone has ideas for me, I'm always available.
