Hello, some of you might know me on the TAW server's as Fox.

I got a question for anyone that will know much more about the logistics of putting up a MP map of Fallujah, and setting it up as Domination and the difficulty of creating the content involved. I been trying to find a Fallujah map that does not require ACE, just a simple CO or OA version of Fallujah Domination, where the objects much like the Takistan map pick's different targets on the map one after another, but I just can not find one, they all seem to be insurgancy or require ACE or are setup for 1 or 2 specific missions and lack that long term commitment that some of us are so fond of on the Takistan US server.

So here's my idea for a map, and any help/suggestions to setting it up or where I can find would would be much appreciated.

The city of Fallujah is quite large, 4km from the creator of the map, more then enough room to put multiple urban objectives.

Now the objectives in this map should be things like destroying weapons caches instead of enemy HQ's, cleaning out insurgents from neighborhoods (find and eliminate), taking out enemy radio towers, or HQ buildings used by the Insurgents. Side mission's could range from eliminating Insurgent leader's in cars, destroying small convoy's of pickup trucks with insurgent supplies on them, or just blowing up a bomb makers house/killing the bomb maker. Just a few examples.

Now to make this map feel urban, only certain vehicles would be allowed, unlike Takistan or Chenarus the map is so big going from town to town, long range transport is required but in Fallujah the main vehicles would be a Bradley or Humvee, 1 or 2 tanks, while aircraft would be limited to mostly little birds, and 1or 2 Blackhawks and 1 Apache.

This would keep the combat more ground orientated and give those players who are skilled at piloting something to do more then taxi as the side missions would be mostly completed by air, where as most air support is not very helpful in urban combat which this map would mostly be. To make it fun and engaging the difficulty would need to be turned up to veteran so people actually bleed out and die so as to encourage team work and less lone wolves.

Now a big question, would it be possible to insert this map onto the US Takistan server, so it would play Takistan through once, then load Fallujah, then back to Takistan? That way it is not Takistan all the time? Just some thoughts, I do check the forums regularly if someone wants to discuss this further about why it would be awesome or why it is a retarded idea, who knows. I don't really know anything about the logistics of Arma 2 Servers. :)

Thank you Amedeus for your input.

We are always looking for input on what the public would like for us to run on our servers. Louderthanu used to host a Fallujah Evolution map and I might pursue Domination on Fallujah if things go well.

Once we finish up some updates to the Takistan & Chernarus Domination servers we will be looking into what our regulars would like to be hosted, we have had  talks of making a domination server on custom islands and I think Fallujah is one of the more popular islands and we might try making a Domination server on there and see how it goes.

Thanks,

JonBons [AM 1SA]
