As mentioned before the 1st prize gets free flat on the Bukkit server spawn world. And the other 2 places, get some money :)
It doesn't mean only 3 projects have a chance to be moved to the city and used. If all are epic and awesome, we won't mind using more than just 1 or 2 projects for the city. So it's a good way for you guys to contribute to city development and also, to make something that everyone can admire.
Don't be afraid to use different materials and build in multiple floors :) Wood, wool, stone, bricks can be one way to go, but who knows, maybe there's more.
We would love to see you guys taking this up seriously but enjoying it at the same time :)

Not sure if i mentioned this, or if people noticed, but as you know, these projects are to be built in Scrap yard, and right next to the portal i have made a small example, of the plot, so you get the gist of how big and tall it is, you don't have to put fence around your project if you don't want to, it's jsut to give you the feel for the size of it.
We need more creative people!

We had some questions:
1) Is it ok to have multiple entry's, to have more than 1 project to participate with?
Yes, you can have 3 different unique projects/entry's to enter the competition.
Do keep in mind, these projects are built in scrap yard, and it will be restarted eventually! meaning, everything will be deleted, it is a resource world, so keep in mind this fact.
2) Are non-MC division members allowed to participate?
Yes, any TAW member can participate, we want to see a lot of activity on server, so the more people on, the more fun we will have.
3) Can the plot size be change/adjusted
No, this is first competition of this type on the server, with certain goals kept in mind, so lets keep this simple for now :)

Just my 2 cent, sorry for being so direct but:
1. you need to spend your own resources to built something on the scrapyard for a competition where you get 3000k on 3rd place...
2. well for a good looking building you need certain naturally unattainable resource, so let's add some flavour cobwebs for example certain stone blocks which are all quite expensive, like the suggested gold (~180 a block) ...
3.all that on the scrapyard where a single creeper can blow everything up...
4. old players with huge treasuries of blocks and ig currency have it way easier to built
Sounds not quite thought throu... Sure i don't have to compete at that, but if you want to get some more players you should add one zero to the price money and make the 1st price one of those buildings over the market, but not the cheapest of the cheap buildings, i mean it's not like there are already many buildings taken on spawn...
everyone can in the time spend for that project make more money, simply by pumpkin farming or digging on scrapyard...
I know there is the maxime that you should "work for your stuff" ,yet that competition and the pricepool sounds more like an april fools to me...
So suggesting: a)Up the pricepool:
1st: one house at Domination Place
2nd: 50k
3rd: 30k
b)And why put it on scrapyard? are the other buildings the runner ups, worth nothing and just for the trashcan? why not dedicate a place on vanilla for it and KEEP all the hard work ppl have done?
c) Why self finance? Give out certain (counted) materials and let the players work with it to create something?
d) What do you want to promote? Creativity? Support it! Cheap way to get buildings for an Aztec theme? Ask players to built stuff , or reward them properly!
