divisions formed prior to 2007 tend to have mostly european members in 1st battalion and american east coast in 4th.  3rd was generally used for west coast american.  this setup was carry over from way back in the day when we had "Zones" instead of battalions.  After the formation of the vanguard division in 2007, ...
