The Central Command (CC) team was formed in 2005 to oversee, lead, and assist the management team of TAW, Task Force Operations (TFO). The CC team deployment and make-up has changed over time but the fundamental goal remains the same: To lead TFO and all of TAW, safely and successfully into the future.

Task Force Operations is made up of all CC team members, all Division level leaders, all Guild level leaders, and all Resource or Project managers. The formation of TFO in 2002 was a key lynch-pin in taking TAW from a mere clan to a full-fledged community while the formation of the CC team has helped TFO remain focused to progress into and through "uncharted" areas.

Central Command currently provides operational assistance in these areas:

  • Officer training & mentoring.
  • Officer accountability.
  • Maintenance of TAW's Code of Ethic's and Operational policies.
  • Maintenance of the TAW web server(s).
  • Security of TAW's hardware information and resources.
  • Maintenance of the TAW teamspeak.
  • Maintenance & trouble-shooting of several shared game servers.
  • Game server setup, operation, and trouble shooting.
  • Collection of TAW-wide & divisional donations.
  • Distribution and payment for game, web, and TS server fees.

Central Command also provides assistance in these non-operational areas:

  • Developing strategies to adapt and overcome the ever-changing game industry.
  • Development & Implementation of next generation virtual team management web technologies.
  • Provide initiative and motivation to team leaders to help them and their whole team be successful.
  • Personnel-resolution assistance.
  • Early identification and deployment into new upcoming games.
  • Securing relationships with businesses to provide members with tangible benefits.

TAW Central Command Team Structure

Here are some tips on using our website during transition:

How do I search for members?

In the top menu panel go to COMMUNITY > SEARCH FOR MEMBERS

You can even still search on the legacy website

How do I see the member roster?

Right now there are two methods, one for anyone and one for members only.  Below are two examples.  To see your division, just replace the "cc" in the address bar.

  1. Public Central Command Roster
  2. Member only Central Command Roster

The following are principles and instructions for TAW's officers.  These are mostly things that are intangible and take time to develop an understanding.  However, the hope here is that by posting these items we can help you along the experience and development curve and help better prepare you for the challenges you will face.

These are not "Laws" or "Policy" but many "Maxims" that are generally true but not always.

Please send your feedback to Fox (click for a private message link) if you have any.

Note some members will not be able to view the content of these links.  If this is the case, contact your chain of command.  Also, you will need to login with CallSign_TAW login.  If you need this information contact your chain of command and they will provide it.

  1. Field Leadership Principles
  2. Fox's Maxims

TAW University

Strong leadership can ensure the future of TAW is a "sure-thing" not a "maybe". The TAW University program is designed to give current and upcoming leaders a chance to learn leadership techniques from experienced TAW leaders. Each Instructor will present tips and techniques for successful leadership.

Who can attend Leadership Bootcamps? Any TAW member! Members that attend a Leadership Bootcamp will receive a TAW attendance credit and a commendation in their dossier for future reference.

When will Leadership Bootcamps be held? Ideally we will have a Leadership Bootcamp each month. Bootcamps will be announced on the front page of the TAW website and will include the date, topic and Instructor. The default time is Sundays at 1 pm EST.

Where will Leadership Bootcamps be held? In the TAW University TeamSpeak channel that can be found in the Central Command channel list.

TAW University, building strong leadership for the future of TAW!

The TAW University is overseen by the TAW Central Command unit. Instructors will consist of former and current leaders of TAW. For more information please contact your chain of command.

See you at Bootcamp!
