Greetings All,
It is never easy to say good-bye to anything that has been around as long as the Newsletter, but the time has come to do exactly that. The Newsletter has served the TAW Community and the public for over 7 years and has went through good times and bad. Despite it's ups and downs, it has always strived to make available all the latest and greatest information. With the growing popularity of our other media platforms, the question of viability was a great concern. After a thorough examination, it was determined that the Newsletter had served it's original purpose with distinction, but had outlived it's ability to remain relevant , and it's effectiveness to serve the Community it represented. Effective October 1,2017 the Newsletter "From the Battlefield" and the NEWS Division will be decommissioned and archived into the history of TAW.
As the last Division Commander of NEWS, I want to thank and acknowledge everyone from free lancers right on up to all of the support staff who have ever did their part for NEWS. The longevity of the NEWS Division speaks highly of all those individuals who stepped up to take the reins of what is one of the toughest Divisions in OP's. I also want to thank everyone who gave of their time and effort to help me in these past 12 months, your submissions and time were key to making the Newsletter stand out from all the rest. Thank you one and all.
As for me, I have found a home in EDU and part of my new job will be to advise and help others in creating and maintaining Divisional Newsletters as well as cooperating with SOCOP our media platforms specialist. We are encouraging the building of Divisional newsletters as well as a better understanding and utilization of TAW'S extensive media resources in our Social Operations Division (SOCOP). Further announcements will be coming in the next 30 days and I look forward to helping EDU in whatever way they need me.

Thank you Benji and to the news team for all your hard work and efforts on the newletter. It has been greatly appreciated. I wish you all the best in your new home in EDU and hope that you will continue to enable the growth of TAW's awareness and bring your wisdom and experience to those who will be carrying the newletter flags in the future.
This wasn't an easy decision as the first NEWS producer/editor and having to be the one to shut it down but times have indeed changed. We encourage all Division PIA's to contact EDU about obtaining training to set up their own Division newsletter. We will be creating an all in one page where you can find all the TAW Newsletters. Thank you to Albenji, Lara and Sloan for the leadership and the past Newsletter teams.
It's sad to see that we are losing such a great piece of history from TAW. The work those in the NEWS Division had done was always a great read. Thank you to all those in NEWS and who have served in NEWS for the years of great reads.
Thanks for putting your free time into projects like this. Farewell!
Thanks for all your hard work.
Thanks for all the fish!
Hello all you lovely people of TAW! Yet again, I have been offered and accepted a new opportunity, and
