Welcome to July’s Vanguard Newsletter. The goal of the Vanguard Newsletter is to keep the TAW community informed of recent events within Vanguard.
July has been a successful month for Vanguard, and our staff are pleased to announce the transfer of five teams to Army. The SUL and staff for each game have invested tremendous amounts of time and effort to grow a small team into a complete division. This dedication is evident throughout the entire unit. Please give a hearty congratulations to:

The Horizon Division also underwent several changes in July. The Paladins team gained Spin Up status and transferred out of Horizon Division. Paladins is now open for internal transfers to TAW members.

Vanguard’s staff roster also changed in July when Becmacde [VG DO] and Catabre [VG PIO] were hired on.

Vanguard is pleased to announce that Paladins is now a Tier 2 Team and has gained Spin Up status.
Paladins is now open for internal transfers. All new members will be required to attend the scheduled mandatories.

Treyarch’s most recent entry in the Call of Duty series, Black Ops III, interweaves traditional Call of Duty gunplay into a futuristic setting. Black Ops III improves on previous iterations with strong support for PC gamers, dedicated servers, and a complete zombie survival campaign.
Escape from Tarkov is an upcoming hardcore MMO shooter developed by Battlestate Games. The game’s focus on realism and survival will generate a tense environment that rewards cooperation and planning. Closed alpha testing starts on August 4th.
Evolve focuses on five player asymmetrical multiplayer where four hunters battle a monster across a wide variety of maps. The recent re-release as a free to play has grown the player base. This is the perfect time to try Evolve if you missed the initial release.
For Honor is a hack and slash developed by Ubisoft Montreal. It will be released February 14th, 2017. Players can choose to play as a Samurai, Viking, or Knight and battle in different multiplayer modes. For Honor will also feature a single player campaign.
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - First Assault Online is a free to play FPS available now on Steam Early Access. First Assault features fast paced gunplay over a variety of maps. Additionally, each character has different CyberSkill that influences how they engage with the enemy.
Ghost Recon Wildlands is an open world, third person shooter that features a four player cooperative campaign. In Wildlands the players are Ghosts, operatives of an elite special forces unit, working to destroy the Santa Blanca cartel’s hold on Bolivia. Wildlands is the first Ghost Recon game to feature an open world and releases March 7th, 2017.
Injustice is a fighting game based around DC Comics characters. The newest entry in the franchise, Injustice 2, adds a loot system to the game that rewards players with new gear at the conclusion of every match. Injustice 2 will be released in 2017 on Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Neverwinter is a free to play MMORPG that was released on PC in 2013, and Xbox One in 2015. The Playstation 4 version will be released on July 19th, 2016. Neverwinter is based on Dungeons & Dragons and emphasizes a stronger focus on story than other MMORPGs.
Verdun is World War 1 shooter focused on squad based gameplay and historical accuracy. The game provides an immersive WW1 experience through historically accurate weapons, uniforms, battlefields, and injuries. Verdun is available on PC now, and will be released on Playstation 4 and Xbox One August 30th.
Warface is a free to play FPS featuring CryEngine 3. Warface features four soldier classes, seven competitive multiplayer game modes, and ten cooperative multiplayer game modes. Warface is currently available on PC.
