The Art of Warfare Blogs: TAW Blogs

    In the Scope: Proudfeet

Thinking back, what drew you to TAW?

What drew me to taw was a simple post on the smite forums. What has kept me in taw is a various community of players with exceptional skills and personality on a broad spectrum. The taw officers in the smite division have truly been able to take a true melting pot of gamers and establish a forum that anyone can find entertainment in.

Do you have any special hobbies or activities outside of online gaming/TAW?

Yes I enjoy swimming, rowing, and playing with my nephew.

Did you admire a famous person? What made them admirable?

George Washington, Founded our nation, did not back down to British influence and continued to not only back the rebellion but lead it forward to victory.

What are some favorites?  color, food, ice cream, book, movie, song, sport, etc

Magenta, chicken feet, Bacon Icecream, Moby ***, memnto, Don't fear the reaper "blue oyster cult". Football.

What are the goals you are still working toward?

Winning the amateur tournament in smite, we came in second last week.

Tell me how you first got involved in with TAW

    . . .  Through the forums.

What was your first impression of TAW?

    Very organized.

What's your first memory of something related to TAW?

Sunday night practice I was able to get a triple kill my first game in the clan.

What has surprised you most about working with TAW?

The people I have surrounded myself in taw are the standard of team work.

What do you find most challenging about TAW?

When the officers organize 30+ into multiple practice games in under 10 minutes.

What's the best/worst thing to happen since you started working with TAW?

Best is coming in second in a tournament, worst is losing a friend who had to quit the game.

When you last volunteered, made a donation, etc., how did that make you feel?

I Feel pretty great volunteering for this interview =)

If you could change one thing about TAW, what would it be?

For me nothing, but as a DI I have been told by some finding the application to apply is not the most stand out thing when you join the website which can intimidate new members.

What do you wish other people knew about TAW?

I wish other people would realize that the application process is worth the time and effort to be a part of something greater then yourself.

Why are you supporting the TAW as opposed to other groups working on TAW?

This question is confusing to me at this time.

Tell me about some of the people you've met while working on TAW?

I have met many people from all walks of life in TAW and when it comes time to get together practice and team build these people are selfless.

What would you say are some of your strongest beliefs about TAW?

An everlasting gaming community with great leadership is hard to find and I think I just found it.

What's your personal philosophy on what should be done about TAW?

Not to be cheesy and quote my boy Walt Disney but " Keep moving forward "

What might someone be surprised to know about you?

I have only  been playing smite for 6 weeks and I feel with the help of taw and it's experienced members that I'm currently way past where I should be at my skill level.

The interest in TAW seems to be growing/waning. Why do you think that is?

Why wouldn't it be look at this organization and all it has been doing to advance within it's self, I think the non profit recognition will be a huge step for this community.

What would you tell someone who is thinking about donating, volunteering, etc.?

TAW is a non profit organization that looks to better itself day by day. With all donations given rest assure the money will be distributed within the community properly.

What do you think will change about TAW over the next five years?

Vast Growth, multiple team speak servers, more donations and investments.

What's it like to be a volunteer, client, donor or the TAW?

Brings a true sense of purpose to my gaming experience

If you weren't volunteering, using their services, etc., what would you be doing instead, or what would your life be like?

    Drifting through the internet.

    How would someone describe you?

To modest to answer really but I would hope it's nice =)

What do you do when you aren't working, volunteering?

    I'm a construction project manager.

What else can you tell me about the TAW?

Thank you for being here for us all.
