Welcome to the new column, written by your ever-present science-loving robot-lady extraordinaire, GlaDOS. In this section of From The Battlefield, I'm going to be taking a moment to update you readers on the latest and greatest of the gaming world. Most of the focus will be on PC games, but we'll throw in a console game or two if they look sufficiently awesome.
First up, a personal favourite of mine. Payday 2 is the hotly-anticipated sequel to the original Payday: The Heist, developed by Overkill Software. A co-op FPS, Payday 2 adds many features that are straight upgrades from the original, including enhanced stealth gameplay and new abilities, all with the same crew of loveable criminals that you came to know in the original. Payday 2 will utilise a system called Crimenet, which semi-randomly assigns missions to players depending on the methods used for previous heists. While it won't have much of a story, the fun is in the bank robbery - plots? Ha! Who needs plots when you have guns?
