Thinking back, what drew you to TAW?
The desire for me to join a community of like minded gamers, instead of being lonely.
Do you have any special hobbies or activities outside of online gaming/TAW?
I am finishing paramedic school, and on occasion a volunteer firefighter.
What are some favorites? color, food, ice cream, book, movie, song, sport, etc.
Dark teal-ish, sushi, vanilla with rainbow sprinkles and gummy bears, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Silver Linings Playbook, The Rain by Calvin Harris, Hockey
What are the goals you are still working toward?
Finishing my paramedic training
Tell me how you first got involved in with TAW . . .
I first joined TAW in the Natural Selection 2 division. I was on the NS forums and thought that TAW was what I was looking for.
What was your first impression of TAW? Initially
I felt like the odd man out, but that feeling was very quickly changed when I was welcomed to all aspects.
What's your first memory of something related to TAW?
My first practice with Natural Selection. It was my first time really doing a structured practice.
What has surprised you most about working with TAW?
The vast difference of people.
What do you find most challenging about TAW?
What's the best/worst thing to happen since you started working with TAW?
I can't really think of a worst thing that happened, since most have been positive. The best was probably when I was asked to become the Staff Officer.
When you last volunteered, made a donation, etc., how did that make you feel?
I did feel a sense of accomplishment and self-gratitude since I was able to help in some way.
If you could change one thing about TAW, what would it be?
The way TAW is being run, I don't see much of a need for change. The only thing I would see changed is the website, it seems a little outdated.
What do you wish other people knew about TAW?
I think most people are apprehensive to the onboarding process, but I feel that this is a crucial part. There is really nothing to fear here, as it is mostly quick and painless.
Why are you supporting the TAW as opposed to other groups working on TAW?
Bcuz TAW
Tell me about some of the people you've met while working on TAW?
I have played with Icarus when I was in the Natural Selection division, and he only yelled at me sometimes.
What would you say are some of your strongest beliefs about TAW?
I believe that TAW is a great place for anyone who is serious about gaming and want a community that knows how they feel. That being said, TAW is also a place where you can be somewhat casual.
What's your personal philosophy on what should be done about TAW?
I think they way TAW is running right now is the best for future growth.
When your friends/family find out that you volunteer, donate, etc., what do they say or ask?
They are not surprised since I do a lot of volunteering.
Tell me about someone who has influenced your decision to work with TAW? I
think Vulkor and JoeMcDoug have done the most to "voluntell" me to be more active.
What would you tell someone who is thinking about donating, volunteering, etc.?
I think the best thing to say is to just do what you can. If you're low on funds, try to see what other opportunities are available to help TAW.
How would someone describe you?
Quiet, but able to be loud if needed.
What do you do when you aren't working, volunteering?
Relaxing with music, movies, and games.
What else can you tell me about the TAW?
I found TAW to be an open and welcoming place. All of the members seem dedicated to being better gamers and people.
