What's your callsign?
Eifer
Let's get to know you – can you describe yourself in five words?
Helpful, Impatient, Straightforward, Firm. I guess I can be a bit silly around friends too.
Tell us about your history in TAW.
I joined TAW for the Company of Heroes division back in 2011, June 1st and experienced one of the most chaotic times in CoH history, eventually ending up as DO juggling the EU CO and NA CO position as well due to lack of staff. In January the new 2012 the newsletter team reached out to the community, needing writers and a editor and I decided to take up the writers challenge. A few days after that, I transferred to VG for my first spin-up, taking the reins of Tribes-Ascend, and eventually in February being given the STL position for the newsletter. I was offered the Support Lt. Commander position sometime in February, most likely due to my interest in the newsletter and in helping people with website related issues, and was accepted into it by march 17th. At that point I'd been in TAW for about 9 months. Since then, things have been a bit more slow paced which I'm quite grateful for. I've stepped down from SLC and are currently back in Army as the 1st Corps CLC.
What was your initial impression of TAW?
Didn't like them TAW guys much really. Wasn't too fun getting my behind wooped every time I played them ^^ to this day I can't play Steelpact in CoH..
Tell us about your division, and what you do there.
I'm the 1st Corp CLC, and oversee Counter-strike, Company of Heroes, Dota 2 and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Its my job to guide and help the TFO in this Corp with any issues they may have, and mitigate in the event of cross-division and cross-corp trouble.
What would you like someone considering joining TAW to know?
I'd like new guys to know that CC members don't bite... much. Well, not hard at least ;) we are always ready to answer questions and guide people if they need it.
Do you have any special hobbies or activities outside of TAW?
Not anymore. I used to climb some years ago, but I had an accident and got hurt badly.
If you could change one thing about TAW, what would it be?
I've thought about this a few times, and I'm not really sure to be honest. Maybe taking some of the strictness out.
Tell us about some of the people you've met during your time in TAW.
Well. I've met a wealth of people in TAW and It's tough to choose, but I think I'll go with a guy I consider a friend and mentor, Cutthroat, Support Commander. I've always been a bit of a wildcard, a bit too fast on the trigger. Cutthroat is quite the opposite and have taught me a a great deal about patience, which I apply in real life with my work. In OS you get to deal with a lot of unreasonable demands, and quite frankly some very stupid ones too once in a while, and this guy just never budges and always remains calm, which I greatly admire.
What's your favourite thing about TAW?
My favourite thing about TAW is definitely the openness we have. That you are not forced to be "pro" or to play every day.
How does TAW affect your offline life?
What offline life? On a serious note though, It affects me in a positive manner. I've learned patience and to some extend the art of diplomacy! yay!
What might our readers be surprised to know about you?
I work as a youth counsellor for gang afflicted youngsters, and I've climbed for 10+ years.
What's your favourite retro videogame? Why?
Doom! Because it was the first game that introduced 2nd story buildings. And, well.. its doom!
If you could choose any TAW member to be stranded on a desert island with, who would it be and why?
Koto, the DC in Tribes Ascend! Because he is Australian and is used to live in dangerous areas where everything wants to kill you!
Do you admire any celebrities? Why or why not?
Not really. Today's celebrities are nothing to admire really. They forego as a bad example for the current generation.
Who do you believe is going to be the most influential figure in gaming in the next three years?
No clue.
For their time, effort and dedication, this member will be awarded our In-The-Scope member tab for completing the interview.
Welcome to PoN. This edition, it's not so much a preview as a review, looking back at the latest two big releases in the survival horror genre, and helping you decide - which one do I choose? As both are in roughly the same price bracket, I'll do my best to offer a fair comparison, with pros and cons for both!
Our first game is the the first sequel to the ever-popular Amnesia. Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs was developed by The Chinese Room, and published by Frictional Games, who developed The Dark Descent. Set in the same universe as Brennenburg Castle, it features an entirely new setting, time period, and a brand new cast of characters to be tormented by the supernatural.
The player character is Oswald Mandus, who just happens to be a butcher and participant of the industrial revolution, who has been plagued by strange dreams about a dark machine upon his return from Mexico.
The game features a number of enemies, most common of which are the Manpigs. These are similar to the Servant Grunts from the original – unkillable, patrolling creatures which are drawn to the light of Mandus' lantern. Additionally, the Teslapigs, more similar to the Brutes of the original, function as minibosses, and the Kaernk (also known as the water monster) makes a terrifyingly welcome return.
Overall, there aren't too many changes in gameplay. The most significant is the removal of the inventory, which changes the puzzle style to require more environmental interaction, and removes the need for oil and tinderboxes. Sadly, the sanity mechanic has also been removed, meaning that remaining in darkness and looking at the Manpigs are actions with little consequence. Heath, additionally, recovers over time, unlike the requirement to use laudanum in The Dark Descent.
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs has received mostly positive reviews from critics.
Our second game is Outlast. Developed and published by Red Barrels Games, it has been released for PC, and has a PS4 release date set for early 2014.
The main character is named Upshur, a freelance journalist, and like Mandus, is incapable of combat – you will spend most of the game running from the antagonists. You carry a video camera, which allows you to use the “night vision” function to see – unfortunately, it seems to consume batteries at a rather alarming rate, and although replacements are readily available in the asylum you will need to decide what times it is appropriate to expend your battery life in order to avoid running out at a crucial point. Health regenerates over time, provided you do not take any further damage.
The game is set in a psychiatric hospital which appears to have been attacked, with Upshur finding the bodies of most of the staff strewn around the building. Upshur investigates, and the horror is happy to deliver, with the game featuring suspense, body horror, jump scares and chase sequences in a gore-filled joyride that will either have you laughing hysterically or wetting yourself in terror.
Again, Outlast has received overall positive reviews from critics.
The question therefore remains – which game is better? Purely going by Metacritic scores, Outlast is a marginal winner, having a score of 80/100 compared to Amnesia's 71/100. Outlast has also won a number of awards at E3 2013, including the “Best of E3” award – quite a good indicator!
However, if you're looking for a sense of familiarity, and old-school supernatural horror, Amnesia may be the better game for you. I'd be reluctant to recommend this title to anyone unfamiliar with the adventures of its predecessor, as a great deal of its joy is to re-experience the creeping fear that made The Dark Descent so good.
My recommendation goes to Outlast. It exemplifies some of the best elements of the genre, and while it's hardly a revolution in graphics, it's certainly pretty to look at – generally
Currently in the World of Tanks Division we are recruiting new members in all three battalions NA, EU, and OC. In the 1st NA Easy Co they are midway through their inner-battalion tournament called Steel Wars which pits Platoon against Platoon, similar to War-gaming's Clan Wars. The EU is going through some Officer changes and has getting ready to begin their Steel Wars Season. The OC is our fastest growing unit, has just completed their Steel Wars Season and is now a full staffed battalion.
World of Tanks 8.8 Update is now Live for NA, EU, and SEA Servers. Please go to: http://worldoftanks.com/ to update if you have not done so.
I would like to Congratulate the following members for stepping up to their new positions: In the OC : Vuxta, Capt. CO, chaC, 1LT XO, FodderforPanzer, 1LT SO, Seldom, 1SG, FS; NA: - Khono, GSG TS, JoePatton GSgt, JordonDummy, 1LT , Demodragon, 1SG; EU: TigerFang, 1LT CO, Slug SO,
NA is currently having their in-house Steel Wars Tournament on Sundays and Squad Wars and Wednesdays nights Mandatory Practices. 2100 EST
I would like to remind all TAW members that they are more than welcome to come and have fun with us here in the WT Division. As DC my motto is like that of TAW's, "Friendship, Fun, and Loyalty", If my members are not having fun then we as leaders are not doing our jobs and I want to know why and what needs to be fixed now! It's the members that count the most not what the officers think and when leader listen to their members that's when you have true leadership!

The BF4 Spin-Up and Future Division
Horizon Team, a program within Vanguard to help develop divisions better, will form around 1 August 2013 to prepare documentation for the new BF4 division. During this period, drill instructors (DIs) will be trained before 1 October 2013, when the beta starts. Once the beta starts, the spin-up team, led by TexasHillbilly will start recruiting, activate forums and socialize ideas to ensure quality membership. TexasHillbilly has set the goal high and expects to bring in 250 members before becoming a full-fledged division in TAW.
For more information on the Horizon Team program and Vanguard, please visit the respective TAW TeamSpeak channels, contact a TAW staff member or visit the Units page on the TAW website.
The backbone of the BF3 division is the internal matches, dubbed "Battlelines" for BF3 (it will likely be named differently in BF4). We are currently coming up on the 14th "season" of Battlelines, which most likely will be the last for BF3. I can't speak for other games and divisions within TAW, but the thought that has gone into Battlelines has been nothing short of consistent A-plus effort by all staff and members. There has been controversy, but controversy spurs discussion, and discussion leads to solutions. Every generation of the BF staff has placed great emphasis on creating a fun and innovative structure for the internal matches, led by the field specialist (FS).
The internal match structure is evolving and should continue to be the priority for BF4. It decides how trainings are conducted, how competition teams are organized and how membership is maintained. It prepares members to play against other clans in scrimmages and molds recruits into leaders. With the hopeful improvements being made to BF4 by DICE and ideas being concretized by the current TAW staff, the next BF division should see a lot of success. It has, and always will be, about the members.
Competition team and external scrimmages-should expect to play a bigger role, become more robust and sustainable in BF4.
So, as we anticipate the debut of BF4, current TAW members (in and out of the BF3 division), players thinking about joining TAW and players who are in other clans/gaming communities should know that the future BF4 division will be dedicated to creating the best structure for the game and will put its stamp on the community. The BF TAW division has evolved along with the game itself, and the next rendition of BF will highlight what TAW does so well. Everything.

This information was summitted by Junevis Arma 3 Division Commander.
The Arma 3 division in Vanguard is a bit of an anomaly for a start-up team. With 175+ members between the EU and NA battalions and a three year history the Arma division started with Arma2 and has stayed strong as a mainstay in TAW. Unlike many other games Arma2 never died out but continued to be popular and the division has thrived with the support of a strong modding community and lots of user generated content over the years.
The Arma division offers an intense military simulation with weekly practices that consist of mostly custom coop missions and campaigns made by our own members in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Our focus is on building strong teams at the squad level and then leveraging those teams in massive platoon and battalion level operations where skill, communication and camaraderie come together to deliver victory. The division also offers a comprehensive advanced individual training program allowing members to delve into the depths of the Arma platform and become recognized experts at all aspects of combined arms warfare across the 200+ km2 environment of a typical Arma map.
In the transition to Arma 3 our team is excited to be part of porting this amazing division we have built over the last few years over to a fresh new simulation environment. Arma 3 upgrades the Arma platform to a near-future military world with refreshed graphics, lighting, new weapons, terrain and vehicles as well as new environments such as underwater operations. Many of the features pioneered in Arma2 mods, such as movement and stance enhancements are incorporated into the base Arma3 game and the mission making tools are now even easier to use and more flexible, opening up custom content development to even more members. At the same time the new game allows us to leverage much of the scripting and content that worked in prior versions. It's a best case scenario for the future of Arma in TAW and we're excited to be moving forward.
As Arma 3 has now moved from Vanguard into 5th Corps under Corps. Commander Doc, MGN and Corps. Lt. Commander OldWolf, BGN.

Since the start of the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Division, we have grown in size to 36 members and are growing every week. Our members are on the brink of completing the end game content already implemented. We will be looking at grabbing a Guild House as soon as the content becomes available. Thankfully with the donations of in game currency through our members we will be able to purchase the Guild House as soon as the content is released. Our goals are to become a strong driving force within the game and to be the shinning example The Art of Warfare is known to be.
Since we are still in the young stages of the Community we are looking to make amazing strides as the game progresses. With the current setup that we have our raid groups will be working to obtain epic gear and strong players. We intend on starting a PVP group as well planned to be launched within the next month or two. Our crafting and gathering platoon is reaching new heights. Using the trading infrastructure that is slowly coming to be every day practice, we are able to craft things that haven't been able to be crafted before, due to need of more crafting professions. With everything starting to come around to where we are looking to be, it seems that up is the only way we can go. It will be exciting to see what's next for the Final Fantasy Realm within TAW.

Guns of Icarus Online is a team-based multiplayer online airship combat game set in a steampunk/dieselpunk-inspired, post-apocalyptic world where lighter-than-air flight is the only means to cross the scarred wilderness that divides scattered pockets of civilization. Captain or serve as crew aboard an airship with your friends and fly into battle to win wealth and glory. With a good ship and the right crew, you can dominate the skies! On an airship, everyone has a job to do, and the whole crew must work together to take down enemies and keep the ship flying. With three different roles to play, there's something to suit ever play style. Maximize your firepower and deal punishing damage as the Gunner, work fast under pressure and keep the ship together as the Engineer, or execute cunning aero-naval strategies and lead your crew to victory as captain.

Forget Falcon 4.0; the most detailed modern military aircraft simulator has to be DCS A-10. Released a couple of years ago, it set new standards for realistic avionic operations, using precisely the same procedures as the real tank buster when it came to operating the onboard aircraft and weapon systems. Unfortunately the world it was set in was the problem, with numerous AI limitations and limited campaign functionality. DCS World is the solution to that problem, as well as providing an answer to an altogether different problem; how do you keep a sim alive and thriving when it takes several years to develop a single aircraft to this level of complexity?
Available to download right now, free of charge, DCS World isn't so much a simulator as it is the framework in which other simulators will operate. The launch version includes a single geographical location centered on Georgia, an area invaded by Russia in 2008, which is 600km tall by 300km wide. DCS fans will note that this is the same area used in A10 and Black Shark. DCS World is the environment and assets from these games converted into a standalone platform, with future aircraft plugging in as modules. However, it's been substantially improved since these games, across many different areas.
Terrain detail has been updated to match the latest features in DCS A10, which includes HDR lighting, more detailed ground mapping and low-level grass and shrubs. It's filled with several cities, a mountain range and numerous rivers and valleys. A huge portion of the environment is the Black Sea, where numerous ships and aircraft carriers will facilitate naval ops. Animated trains and road traffic help the environment feel alive, while the excellent tree modeling delivers vast forests with minimal slow-down; if only the same could be said of urban buildings, which can have a dramatic impact on frame rates. Dynamic weather is built around high and low pressure zones, leading to moving weather systems, as well as area-specific conditions such as fog or thunder storms. Obviously fully dynamic time of day is included, allowing flights at dawn, dusk and night, where the accurately modelled constellations are perfectly visible.
The huge environment can be filled with several hundred incredibly detailed ground and air units controlled by the game's AI, allowing for huge ground and air battles which the player can fly through. The AI in particular has undergone massive changes, and alongside the improved mission building tools should allow for complex campaign creation that plays out in a semi-randomized way each time. Aircraft can now deploy multiple missiles at once, depending on the real world aircraft, and they'll also display far more human evasion techniques, such as Doppler notching. Zooming in on these units displays incredible detail, with nearly every unit updated to the new standard. All components are animated, including ground radar dishes and aircraft control surfaces.
DCS World ships with the free Su-25T ground attack aircraft, and Eagle Dynamics has recently announced multiple aircraft in development, including the F/A-18C (finally, carrier ops!), SU-27M, F-15C, and Mi-24 Hind, the coolest attack helicopter ever created. More importantly, the launch of DCS World includes the opening of the platform up to third party developers, which should deliver a steady stream of aircraft in future.

THE DIFFER IN NAME ONLY.
ULTIMATELY, THEY ARE ALL THE SAME: THE A-LIST, THE BEST OF THE BEST.
THE MOST ELITE SOLDIERS THEIR NATIONS HAVE TO OFFER.
The year is 2020. The European Union has collapsed. The United States, in a effort to revitalize their anemic economy, has withdrawn from the geopolitical stage. China and Russia have moved to fill the vacuum of power left behind..
Worse, a group of degenerate Xanthids, extraterrestrial creatures that escaped from an Andromeda prison colony, have taken refuge in the depths of Antarctica. Attempts to communicate have proven impractical, and they have proven impractical, and they have begun to instigate skirmishes elsewhere as they seek to expand through each nation preaches about the benefits of peace and stability, the political structure of the world has crumbled. Nations jockey for power behind the backs of their citizens, and the slightest political misstep could end in nothing less than mutually assured destruction-or a complete alien takeover. The second Cold War has dawned.
However, when war is fought behind the scenes, the only warriors are the elite. Delta Force, GAFE, Spentsnaz and their brethren-these brave soldier control the future, delicately maintaining the balance between the world powers through shadowy operations and confidential weaponry.
The world is their battlefield. Live or die, their existence will be disavowed by the very nations they protect. Succeed or fail, their heroism will never be known.
They are the World's special forces.

USB Condom!
Sorry for bringing you in here thinking you can recharge a condom via USB, that was evil of me. But hey! good titles brings readers.
Anyhow, it is actually about a product called "USB condom".
For everyone on a traveling foot those few USB ports can be a lifesaver to charge your phone or device, although few knows about the risk involved in this.
The USB can be "attacked" by something known as Juice Jacking where a malevolent unit steals all your info while you charge your phone. This problem have been solved by some smart guys as Int3.cc with a "simple" trick.
The little adapter device has cleverly been named "USB Condom" and as said, is a little adapter that blocks the pins that can transfer information. The battery can still be charged, however no info can be transferred due to the fact that the pins are physically removed from the plugged unit. This way there is no way of stealing any info that can be used to your disadvantage.
*A charging kiosks inside. Prepped to steal data of anyone charging their phone
The USB condom is $9.99 and can be ordered through their website. But if you feel that you do not want to spend money but still be safe, there is one more way. Make your phone go completely out of juice, so you can't even start it. Then you can charge safely due to the info transfers in your phone will not be turned on (Shutting your phone down won't work, they are still in "sleep mode")

We will be changing the content/submissions for the newsletter starting with the next edition. Back in the day, it was a TAW-Wide newsletter. Since then we've rotated the focus from Division to Division, Corps to Corps and now it is time to return to the TAW wide focus. We will be emailing information to the Corps Commanders and Lt. Corps Commanders for dissemination to the Divisions [submission links also included below]. We will be seeking any and all news worth of publishing from all divisions and Corps. We will be looking to have a Corps Corner for each Corps and if needed, as specific Division focus as needed. We will continue the 'In the Scope' pieces as they are quite popular but will scale down to one per Corps so the selection process will be more focused. We will also continue to have the 'PoN' piece by GLaDOS, 'Indie Corner' Piece by Shadowmage, the 'Oath to I.T'. from FreeOath and the pieces on new hardware. We have grown to 400 subscribers and look forward to more subscribers and involvement from the outstanding TAW community.
We have simple forms to have you fill out and submit:

We are working on growing our fledgling Division into a community for the long term. Progress with numbers is sometimes slow, but we are steadily gaining more members as the quality of our recruits continues to increase. Our fundamental approach and principles are strong though and the wider Minecraft community is ever so slowly starting to notice and recognise our name.
There is a major update to Minecraft in the pipeline and Mojang have just pushed out the first weekly snapshot for version 1.7 - its public release officially kicks off community involvement in the development process that is so fundamental to the future of this already record-breaking game. The update is as yet unnamed, but likely to be something similar to 'The Biomes Update'. There are huge changes to the terrain generation and environment right around the corner. You can find more information on the first of the snapshots here; https://mojang.com/2013/09/minecraft-snapshot-13w36a/ If you're already familiar with Minecraft and would like to see more of the specific details then there is a community-led page which is bringing together all the changes as they are discovered and discussed, you can find that here: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Version_history/Development_versions#Minecraft_1.7_Snapshots_.26_Pre-releases If video content is more your kind of thing, then there are a number of snapshot videos available on YouTube. If you have 6 minutes and 6 seconds of time you can check out the one I made, with help from other TAWcraft members, which showcases 66 of the changes I'm most excited about, here; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVNWdIDOq6o
Over the past 4 months we have been able to consolidate our position and strengthen the staff team. Key roles have been filled with strong staff members who share TAW's vision and understand how challenging it is to bring a game that is so different, into the TAW fold. Ffaen has moved to CO, JamiesB to SA and Viperious into the XO position. We are also fortunate to have Dogstar on the team as ST - as his wealth of TAW knowledge and experience often pays us dividends
We run regular special 'snapshot test' events when the game is going through the run up to new versions, as it is currently. We'll be hosting these over the coming weeks on snapshot days - so check out mojang.com if you're interested, and if you see a new snapshot released, drop by TeamSpeak around 8pm BST and see if we're running something that day, we probably will be!
Nothing special happening. We are thinking of adding a new squad and having more practice times added to our schedule in order to accommodate players in the different time zones.
We are slowly bringing our membership up from an all time low of 19 to the present 21 with 1 new applicant in waiting.
Mexicobob has released a new RVSA map (rvsa_assault_v1) through the Ghostrecon.net web site. Also has 2 other RVSA maps in beta testing a the moment.. And is looking at a couple more to do. These have been requested by the =BH= clan member nigelk9 and they have been beta testing the maps.
Some Staff Changes:
MavRicky is the new CO. Reddog has been made XO of the GRAW Division 1st Battalion.
Loggie is the new SO. DirewolfFive has moved to the SA position. Mongo is the ST.
We also will have a special practice on Saturday nights at 10 PM EDT to play along with our Australian member. In addition, we will be having a Division competition event coming up in November. The date to be determined.
Some updates from the FC3 Division....
Within two weeks a new internal FC3 tourney will start, lasting around 6-7 weeks. Two teams will battle on mix of custom made FC3 maps (some build bij TAW members themselves).
...Few weeks ago we finished a mapcontest. Five mapbuilders made special map and all played it during a training and gave individual grades. This is something we do few times a year. To give idea how these maps look see here : http://taw.net/forums/t/6841.aspx ..Last thing we did lately was hold a Far Cry reunion training. Where we invited old TAW/FC members to play with us again. We played the 9 year old Far Cry 1 and Far Cry 2 (from 2008). Both still lot of fun. It was only hard to reach people because we dont have that many private email adressen from members who left. Some left years ago. But if was lot of fun so we're gonna do it again.
There is patch 1.05, can be found here: http://far-cry.ubi.com/fc-portal/nl-nl/downloads/index.aspx
Our long time Division Commander "Homer" (8+ years) became lifetime member and retired from Far Cry division.
Not many games have map editors. Far Cry games always have them and this gives players the opportunity to create some really amazing maps. Inside my group, we have couple of real gifted and creative map designers.
Struzi
friendly, dedicated, funny, leader, intelligent
I joined TAW 3 years ago, because a good friend told me it is really good fun in here, and so I joind the FC Divison. I started there, like everyone else, as normal memeber but from beginning on it was really great fun. I liked to play with all the people, therefore i tried my best to help out keep running everything in being Squad Leader and taking other position's. That's sure one of the reasons I am now in Battalion Command.
At first i thought, oh my godness, this is a really big Clan, and the hole system with position and ranks was quite confusing all the rules and stuff but after a time you get in knowledge of everything, and i started to like it.
Right now i am in the FC-Division which is, after changing to FC3, a nice little group of around 20 members, but we are tring to get bigger again. And thats one of the first things i am doing, I try to attract new people for my division or at least to get to the homepage of TAW to see what we got, because (as everyone in TAW should know) we are playing more than one game. Also I am getting together with the hole command staff to setup tournaments and plan the trainings.
We are a really big and great Group of people, from many different countrys, and you got always the possibilidy to jump in to there games/channels to get in knowledge of other people and games.
Well I am playing Rugby, where I got two trainings a week it is a really fun sport and is probably the only thing which is keeping me fit. I also started to play Golf ones but I am not really playing it often anymore because I do not relly got the time left for it, besides the other things i am doing.
From my point of view, I think everything is working good right now.
I have met already many people with in TAW, but the only people I can really talk about are the persons from my division the most of them it was always fun to meet and after a time the start to be your second family, thats my opinion. When i look at them the normal members start to be the children and Command stuff starts to become the parents which are tring to lead the group and keep them together.
I am not sure but it is probably th eTeamSpeak Server and the possibility which come with it. The ability to talk with the persons you are playing with, I know more and more games are getting in game voice chats and stuff but I really like that.
I started to take more time in doing something for my battalion, than wasting my time in front of the TV. So to say, doing something for a bigger goal. I guess the higher you get in Rank/position and the more responsibility you get the more it becomes something that is giving your life a-new.
Probably that I am studying Physics right now.
Probably Tetris cause it was one of the first games i have ever played, it is a game everyone knows and I still like to play it sometimes.
Maybe Lara Croft she is really nice and would cheer you up if you stand with her somewhere with no hope. Also i gues that she would be relly helpful.
I do not think that there will be only one person. I would say it will be a group of persons but i have no clue who it will be.

"Well then i have to start with a deployment i had in 2001 with TANK. He introduced Delta Force Land Warrior that we played 2 vs 2. After my Deployement i had to wait for a few months till internet was available on the barracks and then i joined the DF division in December 2002. From that day on i stayed in DF till the division closed down in 2007. I had at that time done every single position within DF with a lot of pleasure. Due to a deployment i have been away from TAW for a year and joined back in 2008 with the Call of Duty Division. Then one year later i joined VG to launch at that time Delta Force Extreme 2. Well due to game not a good choise and then i went over to help out to get ARMA launched. For some strange reason the first time ARMA didn't worked out as it should and it was closed down. From there to BF Bad Company and stayed there till the opertunity came to join Central Command. Within CC i have been the CLC of 3th Corps, the CC of 4th Corps and my current position as SNC."
well organized, friends, loyalty and fun to be in due to fellow gamers wanting 1 thing. Our Code of Ethics explains that
I am the SNC. We are here to help divisions to either build up again to full Army divisions. Most of the times building up leadership when needed. Helping out the divisions with questions when needed. Development of leaders with TAW University. This with the help of our members.
That if you look at our membership you see one thing and that is dedication from our members to our CiC. All these people want 1 thing and that having a place where you can build friendship and have fun playing the game you love.
Outside TAW I make time for my family. I have two daughters that I love and give them the time they need from me as daddy.
Well TAW changes. All the changes I have seen have been good. The current leadership is going in the direction were I think that's good for TAW and its members.
To be honost if I am going to say names I might forget a few. Therfore I can say that in all the years I have been in TAW I have met great people. On all the positions I had great examples... and in leadership positions I had and have great teams around me. To all that have worked with me...thank you for showing me the ropes and the patience to teach me everything I know
The members that take time to meet up and just have fun playing the game.
it doesn't
That i am a Nurse in a retirment home. [Not the one where our lifetime members are. :-) ]
The game that i started within TAW is for me the retro game. It has everything you like in gaming. Easy, fast and teamwork.
none, due that i think that every one should have a normal life and i do think that the attention isn't always a good thing for them.
Not a figure, The infuential team would be wargaming. I am looking forward to the combination of the 3 games in the upcomming years.

"I first discovered TAW on a League of Legends forum post. I was excited to find a gaming community that had stood the test of time and treated their players with respect. I joined the LL Division in October 2011. I quickly started making friends and becoming a better LoL player. 6 months later I was offered to lead a team for practices as an FL. Later in May, I heard about a Diablo 3 spin up group (SUG). I showed up to the spin up meeting and was surprised to be offered the SO position. This was the first time I realized just how my actions could affect TAW. By late June I stepped into the XO position. Unfortunately the game had several majors faults at launch and we just couldn't get the staff or members so we choose to end it. I rejoined LL early July. I accepted the Training Specialist position in Sept. I was basically leading all the TIs and TSs in the LL Division to develop a better way to train players' in game skills. Finally, after eight months I decided I needed a long break from League, not just the Division, but the game itself. Helping run the largest Battalion in TAW while developing how to train players was quite stressful. April of 2013 I left the LL Division and joined the Minecraft Division. I was excited at first just to build stuff with other people, but quickly discovered the joy of MC PvP and map-making. I was offered to start running and planning the weekly events and became the Field Specialist in late May. I started developing my first MC game, Destroy All Leafs shortly after. The game is getting closer and closer to a full release and I was able to run it from time to time at practice. In June I was offered to step into the SO position. This meant fulfilling my FS duties, with help, as well as my SO duties. Early August the XO stepped down and I was offered to step into the position. Throughout my time in TAW I've enjoyed helping other members be it training in-game skills as a TS or training future staff members as an officer. My biggest joy at the end of the day is helping people to have a good time while they are a part of my e-home."
When I first joined TAW I was really impressed with the family environment that had been set up. I really enjoyed the strict Code of Ethics and the TAW Policies as well as the chain of command structure. I could tell right away that TAW had been around for many years and would remain for many more to come.
Minecraft is very different compared to most TAW Divisions. The majority of the games in TAW are focused around PvP or PvE/PvM. MC can offer those experiences, but it offers so many more. You can design and program your own games using command blocks and redstone logic. You can participate in races, building competitions, free for all PvP games, attack/defense strategy team games. Minecraft itself isn't really a game as much as a tool set. With that we have been able to cater the experience to our players. I do many things within Minecraft including making maps, running practices, designing events, training members, and building projects. I tend to be on 4-7 days a week probably clocking at least 30-50 hours a week.
This isn't a place to be disrespectful or act the fool. We all enjoy being silly, but to be an organized community sometimes we have to be serious. The officers here work hard to make your experience the best we can. All we ask in return is; attend events, be respectful, and above all else have fun. So please, stop the jokes long enough for announcements.
I'm a geek at heart. If I'm not working on something for TAW I'm either playing some sort of game, working on my own Minecraft projects, or hanging out with my family. I also consider myself a connoisseur of anime, movies, music, and games.
The one thing I would like to see change in TAW is the acquisition of the hardware necessary to host our own servers efficiently rather than relying on 3rd party server hosting with different Divisions using different companies.
Decree is the nicest person I've met in TAW. Even stressed out by school and running a Battalion by himself he still kept his cool and kept his happy peaceful demeanor. I don't believe I've ever seen or heard of him losing his temper once. Dajaroo, Wardy, and KingCheese are some of the best leaders I've ever had the pleasure to work with inside and outside TAW. Their dedication and innovative thinking is a great asset to the TAW community.
My favorite thing about TAW is the fact I'm not worried about if we will still exist in six months or not. I've been a part of many gaming communities, some more serious than others. I was even a part of one of the top guilds on the Laughing Skull server in WoW NA. Each and every one of those groups eventually fell to places due to drama or lack of leadership. With TAW I don't have to worry about that. We have the officers and policies in place to make sure we will run strong for many years to come.
It's given me confidence knowing that I'm actually able to leave a legacy behind.
My mother passed away over three years ago. TAW was what really started to bring me out of my depression and get me back on my feet again. Also, I rock an ever-growing full beard. https://sphotos-b-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc3/1173707_10153170531405106_330389874_n.jpg Picture of my beard in case someone wants proof.
There's just so many. Mortal Kombat for the brutal fighting. Sonic for the fast-paced platforming. Final Fantasy/Super Mario RPG for the storyline and turn based game play. Is Diablo 2 considered retro yet? I played that for 13 years, still waiting to be able to use D2 as an answer to this question.
I would choose Notch as an invidual or Riot as a company. Notch because of his innovative thinking and ability to provide a good game with a great tool set. Riot through League of Legends really pushing the point that Professional Gamer is an actual career choice.

A leader/dedicated/corporative/deadly and funny
I have been in TAW for six years now. When I joined Ghost Recon I was under Operator/Bagger / Hatchet and learned a lot from them. I never left Ghost Recon but did join the graphics team in operation support for a couple of years as a dual member. I produced many many avatars and signatures for the members of TAW. While being a dedicated member of ghost recon I have held the position of squad leader-Staff Officer two times-Executive Officer two times-Commanding Officer two times and now I am currently holding the Division Officer position.
I had never been in a organization like this before and thought it would be something great to be a part of. The longer I stayed in TAW the more I realize that this was a organization that I wanted to stay with for a very long time.
Our division is the oldest current running division in TAW. This division has many members with more than one year of membership. Several with two/three/four and five years of dedicated membership and myself with now six years of dedicated membership to this division. I am now serving as Division Officer of this division with the rank of Lieut. Cmdr, making sure that we follow TAW policies and code of conduct.
That we live by a code of ethics and our own policy that keeps us honest and in fire play. We have a military style structure that permits us to advance in rank and positions as we gain experience and knowledge.
My special hobby is riding my cruiser motorcycle.

"I have met so many people during my time in TAW. Some have been so helpful in educating me in becoming a better offer in TAW. I'm 62 now and still learn new things about being a leader. I have seen so many good people come and go in this Division. For some it just wasn't meant for them to be in TAW for a lot of years."
The military leadership structure which provides for a fair and controlled environment.

Probably my age. I doubt if there is a lot of us over 60.
World of Tanks. It wasn't too complicated to learn and I just like the way it's all laid out.
