Hello all and welcome to Radios First ever Newsletter. We hope that you enjoy this newsletter and learn about all the content, projects, promotions, and so much more that’s happening at your TAW Community Radio station this month.
For those of you in Army that do not frequent the operations channel, there have been a multitude of changes in Operations most notably Radio created its own battalion in social operations under the tag SOCOP 2. While this is only a minor change in most people's eyes, this has given us a chance to restructure and provide better content through a crack team of DJ’s and radio enthusiasts. By creating this new battalion, we are able better define leadership roles which divide up tasks into more manageable bites and provide growth for the future. We will still be working closely with our parent SOCOP Division through events and other functions while creating new content to diversify SOCOP and make it the best it can be. We hope that you all enjoy the Continual improvement of content our DJ's and staff provide through our new official battalion as SOCOP 2.
Being an active part of a newly minted battalion means there are a multitude of transfers and promotions under way this month. As of this blog post we would like to congratulate the following members for stepping into leadership positions for SOCOP 2.

Next we would like to recognize the transfer of members into SOCOP 2 as new DJ's

Hoorah to all of our promoted officers and transfers this month. If you see any of these members in channel feel free to congratulate them with a Hoorah or celebratory kick of your own as we welcome them into our ever expanding team.
Similar to other battalions, TAW radio has operating fees similar to server fees and cannot run on just hard work alone. If you enjoy the services our excellent DJ's provide through their talk shows, prize giveaways, and other services, please consider donating a little to help radio continue to prosper.

Website changes
One of the crowning achievements of this month is the revamp of our Broadcasting website. With the help of our current staff members, we have added a plethora of new features in our most recent overall of the website to give you the best experience possible. For starters we asked GFX for help creating an image for the background of our website which looks amazing and adds a splash of color to what used to be a mostly dark webpage. Next we added some new links to our page directing members to our radio improvement survey and donation site to give our members easy access to help us improve as well as showing their support. We have also added multiple ways to contact both the station manager and DJ's to get your requests in and voice your concerns. And finally we have added a full DJ schedule telling you who is DJ'ing at what time to aid our listeners in finding their favorite DJ. We hope that these changes enhance your overall experience on the radio website. Stay tuned for more changes every month as we continue to fine tune our website to provide the best experience possible for you, our listeners.
This month radio has two new surveys out. These surveys are designed to improve your TAW radio experience and offer options for the community to utilize Radio to its maximum capabilities
Our first survey is on the radio website and serves as a feedback form for our loyal listeners to fill out and give us insight on how they believe we can improve radio to best suit their needs. This survey has a large impact on the music that is played and content that is delivered to you. Every single comment is recorded and taken into consideration by our station managers and other support staff. If there is anything that you would like changed to make radio better suit your needs, be a part of the change you wish to see and fill out the survey today.
The first survey link can be found HERE or on the TAW radio Website
Our second survey is brand new and is directed towards those that wish to advertise here on TAW radio. With the introduction of this new survey, you will soon be able to get your messages broadcast across the net reaching all listeners multiple times a day. The content of these messages can be anything of the requesting officers choice as long as it follows TAW CoE and fits in the designated time allotted. We hope that all divisions in TAW utilize this service to get better publicity for their game and help grow our listenership here on TAW Radio
The second form link can be found HERE or in the TAW radio office in TS.
Another notable change this month is a revamp of our schedule and DJ system. In an effort to cover time slots that DJ’s cannot cover, we have started recording our live DJ shows and have been rebroadcasting them several times in the week. This change will hopefully provide our listeners with a multitude of options to listen to their preferred DJ even if our listeners cannot attend their live broadcast. This has resulted in a new schedule for the radio as a whole. Under our new system, there will always be a DJ on every two hours maximum followed by two hours of the Auto DJ playing pre-selected tracks. Our current broadcasting schedule can be seen here.
The next major change comes to us through the update of the tracks on our Auto DJ. Under the new system we have the DJ playing 3-5 songs of a specified genre followed by a quick commercial break and then a new genre is picked and the process repeats itself. We believe this is the best way to provide listeners with several songs from their genre of choice instead of leaving it up to chance.
Below is a little laundry list of several of the many radio projects that are in the works with more details on these projects to come up in following newsletters
Vermguy’s Diner interviews
The news from your local TAW area today with Cherry
Going Down the Rabbit Hole With your friendly neighborhood DJ Akai
New updates to tired jingles from our jingle extraordinaire Atax
Our next segment is a monthly installment where we interview one of our outstanding Staff members to give you a more in depth look at their shows and personalities both on and off TAW radio.
Our First staff member is our own PIA QuatumDEF. Quantum has been a part of radio for the past three months. Quantum produces two shows a week under the titles of Massive Music Monday and Tuesdays Jazz/Blues/Folk. His Monday show focuses on a playing of a multitude of genres with an emphasis on more music instead of having a true talk show. He received his Tuesday broadcast from SOCOP 2 CO Vermguy as a challenge to meet user demands for a slower paced music experience. For his Tuesday broadcasts quantum has risen to the challenge and has come to truly enjoy his Tuesday broadcasts as a way to broaden his horizons into new genres that he would not normally listen to. When Quantum is not broadcasting or performing PIA work, he likes to spend time in his past division Heroes & Generals playing with his old brothers in arms as they concur war torn Europe in a WW2 FPS/RTS. Overall he is happy to see all of the improvements to radio and hopes we continue to increase our listenership as we grow as a team and community.
QuantumDEF’s shows air Monday and Tuesday 9-11 pm EST and his shows are rebroadcasted 6 times a week at varying times.
I hope that you have enjoyed SOCOP 2 ‘s very first Newsletter and that you walk away from this with a new understanding of all of the interesting projects going on in radio this month. Stay tuned for future editions coming out on a monthly basis.
