Vanguard - MarkitoBurrito [CC VC] has been promoted to the CC of Vanguard.

These transitions are designed to strengthen our core operations as we head into the new year.

Vanguard Update – Extraction Shooters

To better align similar games and focus our efforts, the following games have been merged into the Extraction Shooters:

Arena Breakout

As part of this update, old channels for these games have been removed, and all discussion has been consolidated under [EXT] Extraction Shooters. This change allows us to streamline support, leadership, and future planning for these titles. If you’re interested in bringing new games to TAW, or have suggestions for others, let us know by completing the interest form and posting in the Gaming Hub!

Hytale Game Of the Month

Hytale is an open-world sandbox RPG that immerses players in a procedurally generated fantasy universe. Developed by Hypixel Studios and launched into Early Access on January 13, 2026, the game provides a deeply moddable experience that blends creative building with traditional adventure mechanics. BattleBit Operation Overhaul

BattleBit Remastered is a low-poly, large-scale FPS that supports up to 254 players in destructible environments. Inspired by Battlefield, it emphasizes teamwork, squad play, and combined-arms combat with vehicles, gadgets, and classes.

Its minimalist visuals ensure smooth performance while delivering chaotic, tactical gameplay.

In late 2025, the game received its biggest update yet: Operation Overhaul. This overhaul refined combat pacing, revamped graphics and UI, introduced new sounds, and improved overall quality of life. The playtest drew huge crowds, proving the game’s enduring appeal, though technical hiccups and the long development silence tempered enthusiasm.

Despite challenges, BattleBit Remastered remains a unique indie alternative to mainstream shooters, now reinvigorated by its ambitious update.

EPIC Game Store

While many people are aware of this, others are not. EPIC gives out 2 free games every week, including AAA titles such as the Tomb Raider trilogy, the Fallout series, and the BioShock series, with over 400 games given since this began in 2019.

Game of the month

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 releases on November 14, 2025, and is the eighth main entry in the Black Ops sub-series. The campaign, set in 2035, follows JSOC Commander David Mason and his squad as they battle against a revived Raul Menendez and a criminal tech organization called The Guild. Players can play solo or co-op across 11 missions, with a large-scale “Endgame” mode for up to 32 players and shared progression linking campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies.

The multiplayer features 6v6 and 20v20 modes, customizable loadouts, three unique combat specialties, and hybrid perk systems. Players unlock gear through leveling, and can enter the classic Prestige system for rewards. Zombies returns with massive maps, new modes including Survival and Cursed, and deeper customization through perks, upgrades, and special GobbleG_um mechanics. The game emphasizes fast-paced action, tactical movement, and a blend of legacy and new gameplay elements to deliver the biggest and most ambitious Black Ops experience yet.

What is Vanguard?

Vanguard is a Division where new and potential games are scouted, tested and evaluated to become full divisions in TAW. We like to think of VG as a staging area for new divisions to be built from the ground up.

Any member can propose a new game for TAW here

All you have to bring is your passion and dedication. Everything else can be taught.

At the moment these games are in spin-up they start as tier 4 and as they progress to Tier 1 which makes them an official division within TAW

Tier 1- None for now

Tier 2-

Marvel Rivals [MR] is a free-to-play, team-based third-person hero shooter featuring iconic Marvel characters, objective-driven gameplay, and cross-platform play.

Tier 3-

Rainbow Six Siege is a tactical 5v5 shooter where attackers and defenders use unique operators and destructible environments to complete objectives and outsmart opponents.

Delta Force [DF] is a free-to-play tactical first-person shooter featuring large-scale multiplayer combat, extraction modes, and a Black Hawk Down campaign remake set in 2035 with customizable soldiers and vehicles.

Broken Arrow [BA] is a realistic modern warfare RTS featuring large-scale multiplayer battles with 5v5 matches, diverse units, tactical objectives, and a deep scenario editor.

Tier 4-

Nuclear Option [NUC] is a near-future air combat simulator with realistic flight physics, dynamic battlefields, and accurate nuclear weapons deployable in multiplayer and solo missions. Players fly various aircraft, fight land, air, and sea threats, and experience tactical warfare on large, destructible maps.

Sentinel Command: “Guilty as Sock!” Event

June 21st, 2025 – TAWtv, the streaming hub of TAW community, witnessed a landmark moment as streamer Kenisama set a new peak viewership record during a wildly successful stream of the quirky courtroom party game, “Guilty as a Sock.”

The event, organized and hosted by a dedicated member of SNC, invited community members to participate in a playful mock trial experience that had both viewers and players roaring with laughter. The twist? Players stood trial for hilariously fabricated offenses submitted by fellow TAW members — all in good fun and streamed live with full audience interactivity.

Thanks to the blend of community engagement, smart planning, and Kenisama’s energetic hosting, the stream reached a peak of 18 viewers, the highest ever recorded on TAWtv. In another milestone, Kenisama gained two new subscribers during the broadcast, highlighting the stream’s strong entertainment value and growing fan base.

Dune: Awakening

A survival MMO set in the brutal world of Arrakis. Gather resources, build your base, and survive against the environment and other players. For fans of open-world exploration, politics, and survival strategy.

Smite 2

HLL @8th May 2025 - the 80th Anniversary of VE day

VE Day, or Victory in Europe Day, on 8th May 1945, marked the end of World War II in Europe after Germany's unconditional surrender to the Allies the prior day. This surrender came just over a week after the death of Adolf Hitler. VE Day was a time of immense celebration and relief following years of intense conflict and suffering, with people across the continent rejoicing in the news of peace. Although the war in Europe was over, the conflict in the Pacific continued, and the full impact of the war would be felt for years to come.

As we remember those who fell during WW2, we must also look at the Liberation days celebrated by those countries who were under Nazi rule and had to go about their everyday lives or were fighting against tyranny from within. So we also should take note of the following countries who celebrate Liberation day this time of the year.

Game of the Month: DOOM: The Dark Ages

Is a prequel to DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal, set in a dark, medieval-inspired world. The story follows the original Doomguy’s transformation into the legendary Doom Slayer as he joins the Night Sentinels to fight a brutal war against Hell on Argent D’Nur. HLL Campaign Update

Attention TAW members! Last Sunday, March 30th, we continued our Operation Market Garden campaign with an intense battle on Hell’s Highway. We fought on Purple Heart Lane (PHL), representing the crucial road between Son and Nijmegen.

After fierce battles in Valkenswaard, Eindhoven, and Nijmegen, the Allies have fought their way north, but their supply lines remain dangerously exposed. German forces, well-prepared for ambushes, are determined to cut off the advance. With both sides locked in a 3-3 tie, this battle was a turning point in the campaign! Congrats Allies for the 5-0 score(team Freya), which gives the Allies 3 points making the score 6-3.

This is a huge responsibility, and I am fully committed to leading with integrity, passion, and dedication. I am excited about the future of TAW and look forward to working alongside all of you to continue growing and strengthening our community. Together, we can achieve great things and continue making TAW the great place it is. While we are on a good path we still have work that needs to be done. Now, we need members to step up into much needed leadership roles. We need highly motivated energetic folks to keep us moving in the right direction. TAW’s 1st Battalion Joins ARMA Developers for "Seize and Secure" Event

Members of TAW’s 1st Battalion, ARMA Division were invited to take part in an exclusive session with the ARMA developers, playing the objective-based multiplayer mode Seize and Secure in Arma Reforger.

Seize and Secure is a high-intensity game mode where teams battle to capture and hold strategic locations across the map. The ever-shifting objectives demand teamwork, resource management, and tactical coordination, blending fast-paced combat with strategic depth. Infantry and vehicle units must work together to push back enemy forces and control key territories, creating a truly dynamic battlefield experience.

For this event, TAW members joined forces with other regular Seize and Secure players to take on the Bohemia Interactive (BI) developers, who themselves teamed up with well-known YouTubers, including Operator Drewski. The clash resulted in an intense, tactical battle, showcasing the dedication and skill of the Seize and Secure community against the developers and content creators.

The invitation came through Ironbeard, a modder and content creator, with whom TAW has built a strong connection. Over the past year, several members of the battalion have been playing his Seize and Secure mode, but high ping made it difficult for EU players. Recognizing this, TAW stepped up to host the EU version of the game mode, ensuring a better experience for players in the region.

This collaboration highlights TAW’s dedication to the Arma Reforger community, fostering partnerships that enhance gameplay and bring players together. The battalion’s participation in this event is a testament to their teamwork, and growing influence within the Arma ecosystem.

🔥 TAW Campaign: Operation Market Garden – March 9, 2025! 🔥

Attention, soldiers! 🪂 We’re launching an epic Hell Let Loose campaign recreating Operation Market Garden, one of WWII’s most daring airborne assaults.

Allied paratroopers will drop behind enemy lines, fighting for control of key bridges and cities while Axis forces mount a brutal defense. Expect intense, tactical, and cinematic battles!

💥 Week 1 Maps:
📍 Grave Bridge (Driel) – Secure the crossing or hold the line
📍 Eindhoven (Sainte-Mère-Église) – Urban warfare at its finest
📍 Nijmegen (Carentan) – A desperate fight for control

👥 Teamwork & communication will decide the outcome. Whether you're storming bridges or digging in for defense, this will be a fight to remember.
