Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, developed by Asobo Studios and Published by Xbox Game Studios, is a flight simulation game, released for PC and Xbox in the future. It is considered the eleventh entry in the Flight Simulator Series.
Using textures and data from Bing Maps, AI solutions from Azure, and in-house engine made by Asobo, the game is able to depict most parts of the world in 3D photo-realism, with the rest in HD. Because of the size of the data used in total, the game uses internet connection to stream higher quality terrain data, allowing it to reach high fidelity and graphical limits, something the game is highly praised for. The game also over 2 million cities and towns, 1.5 billion buildings, 2 trillion trees, and 37,000 real world airports, and with a real time weather system, players can even go about chasing storms if they like. The game also also players to group up, and explore the world together.
The game features 20 flyable aircraft, with more to purchased from the in game marketplace.
The game is currently out for PC, with Xbox release somewhere down the road. Players can play the game for as low as $1 with the Xbox Game Pass.
