The CiC election voting is now open.

The CiC election roundtable event has concluded, marking the end of the candidate discussions. During the event, candidates answered a series of spontaneous questions, showcasing their perspectives without prior preparation. It was a fantastic opportunity to hear from everyone involved. Over the past week, candidates prepared answers to 5 key questions and faced a surprise question at the end of their interviews, showcasing their ability to think on their feet. Hello and howdy! As is tradition TAW takes a winter break during the holiday season for all Division/Battalion events. During this period, it's not necessary that you show up. We hope you continue to stop around during this period to play with your fellow TAW members.

Today, I am introducing a new set of maxims as a visual reminder of the new set of expectations we all should adhere to moving forward.

These new maxims aim to inspire a positive and growth-oriented mindset within TAW. It should encourage players to embrace the changes, persevere through difficulties, and help create memorable and impactful gaming experiences.

I appreciate all the hard work and effort you all put into making TAW great. Hopefully, by following these maxims we can turn the curve and begin to thrive again.

2023 CIC Election

CIC ELECTION INFORMATION

Dear all,

I hope you all had a great break and spent time with family and friends. Personally, I spent a lot less time gaming than I would have liked! As we start the new year, we have an exciting part of TAW history to take part in: the election of our next CIC!

This Sunday at 2100 GMT is the Election Meeting 1, where TFO will gather to place names in nomination for candidacy for CIC. The meeting is open to everyone, so please feel free to join!

On Sunday, I will return to you with the details of our confirmed candidates, but please read up on policy and ensure you're not discussing candidates or the election with anyone as it is a breach of our policy

Election timelines are as follows:

8^th Jan – CIC Election Meeting 1 – Nominations

15^th Jan – Publish written responses – Recordoral interviews

22^nd Jan – Publish oral responses

29^th Jan – CIC Election Meeting 2 – Live Interviews

29^th Jan – Voting commences

31^st Jan – Voting closes (48 hours after commencing)

5^th Feb – CIC Election Meeting 3 - Announcement and installation of new CIC

Leadership Changes in Operations

Hi all,

Quick update on leadership. I'd like to thank KindOldMan for his support and leadership over the past 18 months as he steps down from Operations Lt Commander to head across to Information Security Command to provide much needed assistance to our team.

I'd like to congratulate EmceeJay for stepping up as Operations Lt Commander. I'm sure he'll do a great job, reunited with Subrat once again!

Leadership Changes

Hi all,

Just wanted to provide a quick update. First, Tomamoko has resigned from the Board of TAW Inc due to time constraints, so we've beefed up the board a little. I'd like to welcome FireTAS and Lucky as new board members, and excited to start working on a program to have the board engaging more with projects that are taking place in TAW.

Tomamoko was the Chairman of the TAW Inc Board, so we've also said goodbye to Bravehardt so that he could move across and fulfill this role. Please join me in wishing all three of them well!

With the vacancy left by Bravehardt I've decided to move Subrat across from ALC to take up the OC role. Subrat is experiencing every role that TAW has to offer it seems, and he will do a superb job for us all in his latest adventure.

Finally, with Subrat leaving the ALC position vacant, I'd like to congratulate Phenom on stepping up and on his promotion to Lt General. Phenom has been an outstanding Corps Commander for years, and has most recently been the place we sent upcoming CLCs to be trained. Phenom has a lot of experience in TAW, and a huge passion for the continued success of our community.

TAW Statement: Ukraine

Dear all,

It isn’t generally our policy to comment on global affairs in TAW, but given the far reaching consequences of the current situation in Ukraine I wanted to reach out to you all.

First of all, I think I speak for all of us in TAW when I say that our thoughts are with those that are affected. I know that some of our members in Ukraine will now have their worlds turned upside down. I wish them all the very best in the upcoming days and weeks.

This situation is totally unprecedented, but please remember our Code of Ethics when discussing this topic and keep political views outside of our organisation.

For those units that have members in Ukraine please place them on leave and continue to keep in touch. There are to be no discharges of these members for the foreseeable future unless specifically requested.

If anyone has anything specifically they want to discuss, please reach out directly.
