New guy to the community reporting in, currently I'm here for the TAW Star Wars TOR guild.

I'll explain my name; I have Cochlear Implants, robotic devices implanted inside my head to the Cochlea that enable me to hear (to an extent) all your wonderful (and not so wonderful Stick out tongue ) voices. Before i had the surgery and acquired the implants, i could hear nothing and for 8 years of my life i was deaf (I'm a late deafened individual, not born deaf). I cannot begin to adequately tell you how greatly i appreciate these devices.

Now, my hearing isn't perfect... I can usually understand what people are saying in TS, but occasionally i'll run into someone that i just can't hear their voices well enough to understand them.

If you said something to me and i didnt reply, I'm not ignoring you, i just probably didn't hear you well enough to realize someone was talking to me specifically lol.

Welcome to the Guild i try talk loud then ehhehehe not to loud that will cause damages to hearing

That's one of the good things about these devices, loud noises won't affect my hearing in the long run because the implants bypass the area's that become damaged due to loud noises.

Now, that's not to say loud noises don't hurt, they do lol... Specially loud high pitched noises (IE, my little cousins come to visit and start screaming like Banshees... that's one of those times the robotic ears turn off lol)
