This weekend is the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Open Beta for the PC.
Black Ops 4 Blackout is Call of Duty's take on a Battle Royale mode, where large numbers of players attempt to be the last person standing on a huge sprawling map - and the Black Ops 4 Blackout beta is the first place to try it.
Black Ops 4 is probably the most radical Call of Duty game in years, ditching a traditional single-player campaign to focus on multiplayer activities, including three Zombies experiences, changes to traditional player-versus-player matches and, of course, this newly added mode.
As you can see below the map is fairly large for a Call of Duty game and includes many iconic COD locations.
Here are the key dates for this Blackout beta period:
The beta started with a player count of only 80 per game, but this has since been increased to 88.
The COD unit will be holding two events that will earn all participants an exclusive tab to be added to your TAW account.
The event nights are Friday and Saturday from 9pm - 10pm Eastern Time. If you look on your event calendar you should see it since all of TAW was invited.
