This week we have had two posts on the recruitment thread from two members who recently joined us i just wanted to share these.
Reading these made me think how good a job you are all doing so i want to post these here for those who have not seen them on the recruitment thread and give you all a Big well done and keep the good work up.
First post below.
Like many things in life, experiences are most enjoyed when shared with friends & family. When I started playing tarkov 2 months ago I had no friends that played save Vincent, whom most will know. He convinced me, that in order to get the most out of Tarkov and become better at the game in a shorter period of time, that I should join TAW.
At first I was not sold as mandatory meetings sounded an awful lot like the mandatory family dinners most are obligated to attend. It definitely sounded like it was going to be a lot more effort than it was worth. I could not have been more wrong. In my short time in TAW I have made many new friends and found lots of people that are extremely good at the game. As for the "dreaded" mandatory meetings, I now sit there on a Sunday night eagerly awaiting them, to see which of my new friends will possibly be promoted. It's also a place where I can get all the relative information pertaining to game development and updates. Then let us not forget the events which follow, which are a great excuse to spend more time in Tarkov with new friends.
To all the newcomers that feel, "maybe TAW is a bit too hardcore for me", know that there are many different players in TAW. Some are super hardcore whilst some are super chilled and are up for anything. Most of the hardcore guys are even up to helping out newcomers. I guarantee that everyone who joins, provided you are open minded & respectful, will find a group of players who they thoroughly enjoy playing with. The military style structure also provides a very interesting way of playing the game, a way that in my opinion can give you a definite advantage in game.
I am really enjoying my time spent playing Tarkov, more so now that I always have someone to play with.
I would like to say a big thanks to the community, especially command/leaders who make this all possible. Also a very special thanks to Vincent for introducing me and Bobby and Sushi for going that extra mile to teach me and make the game more enjoyable.
Second post below.
I second this. I joined TAW not even a full week ago in the hopes of finding people to play the game with. I had played Tarkov solely by myself for the entirety of the few months I'd played it, however, it's a completely different experience when playing with others and makes the otherwise tense game into a rather fun team based challenge.I was expecting a band of gamers and adolescents, and the drama that generally comes with it, but I have to say that I'm in complete awe, as I may not be able to recall all of the names of the people I've played with since joining, but what I can say is that they're all interesting lads with their own stories, lives and jobs that come together to sit down and play the game together after their day has gone. It makes the experience so much more special when you are enjoying the game together with fully matured and humorous friends.
For me, it has to be the first positive, stress and drama free experience I've ever had when affiliating myself with anything gaming related and I urge everyone else to give it a try. You might lose your gear and it will definitely take a while before you're up to speed with the rest of the squad, heck, my callouts and positioning is still a mess, but I've not had this much fun before and I guarantee anyone else will, too.
Good to see such a positive impact on new members
Thank you for sharing these Warlohn.
It's great to get the perspective from our newer members and I am really pleased it has been such a positive experience for them. Kudos to all the EFT members for making it so.
I do think their posts also serves as a good reminder to us all why we do what we do as well.
Well done chaps!
That sort of feedback puts TAW in good stead across not only the EFT community but across the board more so when it comes from new recruits too! This is something to be proud of, it speaks volumes of the good experience people have with the community for EFT you've all worked hard to create within TAW.
More than a pat on the back is deserved for those involved in the maintanence and running of the group.
Keep up the good work!
