Rekon: Marv: I am honestly not the biggest fan of any of those designs, did cast my vote but I think I would not be entirely happy with either. It's been brought to my attention that some people do not like any of the options. As such, we have added the option of "None of the above" to the list of choices. If you did not like any of the options and wish to change your answer, you may. For anyone still voting, that option should now be available to you.

IMHO neither am i but the only one i really could consider is the soldier scheme. after all what better to represent a community driven by teamwork. however that being said the colour scheme is a very bad idea again in my honest opinion. it either needs to be neutral. or their needs to be more concepts for a mascot. after all your putting this on merch and it needs to symbolize TAW itself as well as being attractive for people to purchase.but like ive said personally the soldier scheme is fine just the colour cannot be orange, a neutral black & white or with greys fits better!

Bravehardt: Definitely think the current logo is better than any of proposed new ones.

The ol' Delta/Sabre that this guy's (Bravehardt) sporting has my vote. As a mascot, this checks off a lot of boxes. Unisex, simple, non-party or religion based, has a sense of honor and loyalty, history to TAW, and easily recognizable. I might have a little biases has that was designed by an ArmA member way way back for me.
Coming from the most recent vote for logos and mascots!
Very honestly, none of the current mascots really make much sense.A mascot should represent what it's for, and random animals without even any connecting feature don't cut it.If I have to choose one, I like the idea of a tank, but the ones presented are collaged photos taken online...As for the logo, I guess the current one is actually the best so far. A logo or logotype should have a simple and well understandable shape and color palette to make it readable regardless of size or distance and without effort. Most of the entries have, sorry for my brutal honesty, a tacky photoshopped finish that doesn't make the logo cooler and even decreases the readability.
I agree that a mascot should represent what it's for, and there are some mascots that have the effect. For example, the eagle signifies victory, longevity, pride and most of all, loyalty. These connect well with our values. The owl represents wisdom, intelligence and impressive silence. While it is a small stretch to our values, I do believe these connect well to how we behave and communicate with others and each other.
Birds overall are very powerful creatures in symbolism, no wonder many armies have birds on their emblems. The three-headed dog-like creature I do agree with. It is very cool and quite well done, but as it is very similar to cerberus, it doesn't fit well to our policies or values. (evil, anger, vigilance and fury)
Meanwhile, objects like a tank or a weapon are harder to connect to a wider collective. It does depict well that our organization is military-themed, that's about it.The animals in our current mascot suggestions have a deep meaning and connect well.

I had another style going other than the one I submitted but I never managed to finish it in time for the deadline. I did have a bit of spare time yesterday though so I thought I would finish it regardless and share it here.

Would change my vote for that if I could, really nice work GanX!
I agree, this vector is my favourite
I would like to comment on this, and will try to remain as unbiased as possible seeing how the current logo is my design.
The current logo may look boring, bland or simple but there is meaning behind the design and a reason it looks the way it does. It is not meant to look flashy or gimmicky, but functional, versatile, bold and uniform.
There is also historical meaning behind the design which is why you may find older members lean towards the design more than others. The logo is an adaption/re-imagining of the original TAW logo introduced in 2001. That is why it holds the gray textured look as a default and why the letters are formed in the shape they are in.
I'm looking through all of these entries and a lot of them are unnecessary tweaks or Photoshop filters tossed on top of the original design. Filters are fine, the logo was made to accommodate such but should not represent the community as a whole. However, tweaking the shape and form of the logo, I would strongly advise against.
Hey deadXon long time no see!
