I decided to give MWO another shot after a long time away and I realized that I got 3 new mechs and had two mechs refunded?
Does anyone know what happened?
I apparently am so novice, that I JUST noticed that the Hunchback and Raven are still in my inventory and only had some skill points refunded from way back when.
Back to admiring mechs and...

*Referencing the intro to MechCommander where one shows up and makes a mess of the Hunchback before being scrapped by an IS squad.
As a random sidenote, there is an enemy Mad Cat which appears near the beginning of the game MechCommander (mission 3 to be specific). That scarred me when I was younger as at that point you have light and medium mechs and had to extract a Raven pilot; getting hit with a PPC (ERPPC?) is no laughing matter and it can instant kill your mechs if a lucky shot hits.

They changed the skill system a while ago and those would be the 2 mech you'd been playing and had XP on. They credited you with 7 historic skill points (HSP) so you'll be able to assign 3 skill points on the Hunchback and 4 on the Raven/
The mechs with the (L) designation are loyalty mechs, they give out a number of them each year for purchases made during the year, November - October is the usual timeframe. Those 3 a nice as they're fairly solid in the weight classes.

Forgot to mention that at the bottom of the screen the "Σ" has the various active events. There's a "Weekend Warrior" one running for the next couple of days, you have to manually claim the rewards through the event screen.
