To me it seems they are trying to get the wolfenstein: enemy territory feeling back. W:ET really had a nice competitive aspect imo.

well I finally got around to reading through DJs link, and by the sounds of it it looks pretty awesome. Am I right in comparing it to a COD/CombatArms hybrid, on a F2P system?Looks kinda like it from the pics

Of course, with splashdamage making it, veteran W:ET and QW players should be used to the classes and abilities.

EDIT: Ok just watched the trailer, looks more like a Brink but more ETQW style, more the way brink should have been made. Definitely has an id/Splashdamage feel to it.

Anyone other than Brave and I in the Alpha?

I'll pick up a $30 copy if it's worth the game play. What do you think so far?

I bought the Elite ($60) pack just a little over a week ago. I've only played one match, but the game is looking quite promising. Of course, it's in alpha right now, with it going closed beta probably around the end of the year...and I'd expect a full release maybe sometime next spring...but still some way off. However, even though DB is still in alpha, I've seen other people doing quite a lot of recruiting in the DB forums already, lol !

What I think...buy it. Yes, it's unfinished and slightly boring right now...but it's an alpha test stage after all.

I personally think a spin up even at this early stage is possibly, considering the way DB is going.

Can you lay out how the rounds are constructed?

Are we talking symmetrical maps, or assymetrical things a la quake wars?

Are both sides equally equipped or are we talking regional flavour here?
