Hello all,
in recent times I am really having a hard time keeping up with Terran.
http://drop.sc/347986
Above is a replay where we both took out workers. That part is fine, we came out pretty even but I can't seem to hold the inevitable counter push and often it costs me a base (or 2... or 3:P).
When T pushed back he was way ahead in army supply but his production is insane and in recent games, if I take the whole of the map, they just drop, 3-4 drops at the same time all over the map, the game goes on for 30-50 mins and Terran seems to pull way ahead. I have tried using Infestors, Muta's, Roaches only not in this game but not a lot seems very successful. In this game, I was trying to cripple him before his mass production really kicked in but I didn't do enough economic damage I think.
If anyone has any analysis or blatant mistakes they can see in the replay, please let me know, I'd appreciate it!
Thx all

Well i'm a gold player and i've noticed a couple of things even when i do not play zerg,
First of all i've noticed you have no knowledge what your enemy is doing of you did scout in the begin of the match with your overlord and you will have noticed he went early expand.
You could have caught him offguard by going early baling bust and destroyed him. (Happend to me a lot when i went a early expand as terran)
Well the reason you are falling behiind in eco is because you do not expand, the terran had a earlyer 3e base then you means he haves a stronger eco + the mules will make it much harder to defeat him in eco. also more bases more production and zerg relys on bases.
Also keep a watch on your enemys upgrade he had 3-3 when you had 2-2, which could have made a huge difference.
Thats all what i got so far i hope you can make use of this.
Also you should ask majoris to get some tips he is a awesome zerg player. or ask cog who ever you prefer contact them ingame.

I think that the major problem was the very late third base, you tried to attack at 13th min with a two base economy. You need to take that faster third or all in if not, otherwise he`ll have a bigger economy then you and out produce you. You lost 10 drones to hell bat and from that moment on you never had a bigger or equal economy then your opponent.
You made quite some lings early on but you did nothing with them. At some point you parked them in front of his natural while he had no army :) . That was fun. The attack that you did is very strong vs a bio army, what you did wrong was that you didn`t have the 3 base economy to support it. Also keep in mind that ultras are not good against bio, however ultras + infestors rule ! The macro hatcherie take it elsewere, you placed it at your third and chocked your defensive army with it.
You need to constant keep an eye on you opponent. At start you need to see if he`s taking a natural expansion or not, if yes drone up, if not make some lings and constant poke at some point sacrifice an overlord. You need to know one base cloak banshee, one base hellbat/mine drop or pure marine push. If he`s expanding you have to check up on the same things.
You`re too afraid of your opponent, you presume he`s doing stuff that he isn`t and that`s ruining your game. At 7th min you had about 15 lings outside his base and he had 0 army. Next time you`re afraid of something test it!
Cheers Majoris and XWick, I feel like I have certainly become way too worried about this match up.
I had an 80% win rate vs Terran until shortly after HotS released. I actually ended up not enjoying ZvT in WoL, it was too easy but since HotS, my win rate has gone to maybe 20%.
I definitely have a lot to work on! Thanks for the input, I'll start working on things you pointed out and re-post back here when I've made some progress.
This is the build I have been working on recently. My timing isn't great because I'm having to think about the build order too much still, which slows down the attacks:

The first attack (the ~15 lings outside his base) is for reapers and then force him to lift his cc is possible but I wasted too much time going bk to his second reaper once I spotted it and he had time to get his Hellions out.
The second attack was way too late. It should be ~10-10:30 and using the above build, you then take your third, once the attack is on the way. I was too slow :'(
I'll find some more replays to post here this week, maybe you might spot some more holes.
