Team description: The team was formed on 7/26/2013 to see how people reacts to this form of practice and to practice more then once a week . With this in consideration this team is all about practicing twice a week and as hard as possible for achieving a promotion. We`ll aim to be serious while practicing and give our best matches while at it.
Team Name: Changeling
Team divisions: High platinum/Diamond
Practice time: Every tuesday and friday at 8:00 pm GMT +2. Everyone please be @5 minutes earlier on teamspeak so we can start practicing at 20:00. If however you can`t manage to show up for practice please post here and let us know so we can fill the gaps for the upcoming practice. The friday practice will go as it did until now, all members will participate to the main event as usual.
Team focus: Promoting ! The soul focus of the team is to get to the point where gold players get to platinum and platinum players get to top 8. With this in mind training will have different focuses with respect to what we need most to improve(this will be determined by the players). For example some trainings may be about keeping up the macro aspect of the game while being under pressure.
Team format : Best is to have all races in the team, so about 6 players should join, this way every player should be able to play at least twice/practice and also while 2 play the others will either observe and point things out at the end of the game or act as a coach pointing out what players are missing out during the game (supply, production, scouting etc.) The most important thing why we`d like to keep the team as small as possible(but have all races covered) is to give the players as much games to play during practice. After every practice we`ll do a practice report(basically what happened during it).
Requirements:
How to join(registration closed): please respond to this thread by stating your league, in game name with character code and why would you like to join. We currently have all races covered and the team is full. We`ll test this format for some time and see how the members enjoy it or not. Also if you`d like to observe our practice in order to get an idea of what`s going on you`re welcome. All you have to do is show up for our practice and let us know you`d like to observe.

We`ll operate on a first come first served basis (as a forum promotion thing).

Useful maps : Multitask trainer v1.3 by darglein(under arcade games). You`re given an army, u have to move it and now the options for multitask begin. From terran point of view you have to snipe templars, spot drops, take control of watch towers, do drops, manage production (no more then one in queue), build supply depots, spot clocked attackers, face armies oh and typing . All these can be added or removed. I wish you good luck !

What i want to add is that The art of war is a lesson for any kind of combat. So best to simply read the actual book because it can be applied to almost anything. What i loved most from the book is how Sun Tzu managed to become a general and some of my favorite quotes are "all war is deception" and "if your enemy is temperamental seek to irritate him"

First practice 7/30/2013
Focus: Constant scouting while macroing. At some points of the game we`ll pause and ask players about their enemy. How many bases do they have, what army composition and tech, where`s their army ? Each player will have a coach pointing out macro slacking while the observers will give feedback at the end of the game.

Cheers, Chiie. This seems like an excellent idea with lots of potential, Majoris. I hope you guys achieve your goal! I wish I could join but the times don't work for me. Anybody here interested in starting something like this for NA?
Practice news: It seems that paddy will be late for practice, SteveBrown will take his place and after Paddy gets back he, Steve, will remain our guest as observer.
Practice report(7/30/2013): We had a few games, one lasted 50 mins, so next time we`ll split into smaller groups, so everyone can actually play more. We`ll keep the coaching idea as optional from now on. We had quite some interesting games(i mean 50 freaking minutes game), we all stood in awe as terran didn`t identify that toss doesn`t have splash dmg (except arcons) till 20th mins, i won`t say who(nebose), but overall i feel we`re watching too much and play too little. I belive it`s best to keep things simpler for now on, meet up, find partner and play with respect to the current practice focus. GL & HF
Practice 8/6/2013 preview:
A lot of players want to practice against cheese, so cheese will be. Everyone should prepare at least on cheese for this practice. The most important aspect of a cheese is it`s surprise so for this reasons only 1 or 2 players will cheese per game cycle. What i want to say by game cycle is that if we`ll be 6 players then we could divide into 3 pairs thus 3 games will be played simultaneously or we could divide into 2 pairs with one observer each, if however you`re not going to be the one cheesing then your goal is to keep track of your opponent army at all times. I think the cheese is a great idea, because even though cheese sucks it's good to have a few cheese builds. Also it's great to be better to know how to react to diffrendt kind of cheese.
