Well, it's finally here! After many weeks of experimenting with PDFs, graphics, trying to extract 'content' from our members, then scrapping it and starting all over again - I have today published the very first issue of our new EU Battalion [World of Warships] Newsletter.

As a new and embryonic publication, I have no doubts that the content and structure will change to reflect the Battalion as it too changes and moves forward. For now though, please feel free to scroll through and enjoy my publishing baby-steps. Here's looking forward to issue 02. By the way, as Peter Parker (Spider Man) was noted to have once enquired of J.Jonah Jameson, "Could you pay me in advance?". Same result here methinks

World of Warships TAW Wide Tournament

World of Warships NA Battalion is hosting a TAW Wide Tournament in which all players who have accounts on the North American Servers are welcome to attend.

AUGUST 22ND , 2020 at 12pm CST in the World of Warships Channels

Players will competing for a grand prize of 7,500 Doubloons for their team. 2nd Place will be 3,750 doubloons for their team. Player fleets will be composed of 3 ships with the Default Configuration set to :

1 Tier VI Battleship

1 Tier VI Cruiser

1 Tier VI Destroyer

*All ships must be from the same nation*

Ships classes may be substituted out for a ship of a lower tier and different class to a maximum of no more than 2 Battleships or 1 Battleship 1 Carrier Combinations per team. [Meaning non default set ships must be tier 5 and lower but still from the same nation]

To enter follow this link - players must already have division-mates to run with , this tournament does not support free agents or substitutions. A Team may include a single non-TAW member in good standing with the organization as your guest/potential recruit. The form is final, changes must be approved by the TO prior to the day of competition..

Once a fleet is locked in, ships cannot be substituted after the tournament has started. Abilities, commanders, consumables, configurations, etc, may be changed between battles. Teams that no longer meet the 3 player minimum for any reason during the tournament are no longer eligible to participate.

All games will be played in the Domination Game Type with 10 minute rounds

Format of the tournament will be Triple Swiss Rounds with a cut to top 2, POINTS - Win = 3 Points, a Draw/Loss = 1 Points;

Number of Rounds will be based on participation / amount of teams to determine a clear top 2.

Map Rotation will include Solomon Islands, Big Race, and Strait

Do you have what it takes to be the top fleet in TAW? Test your wit and come find out.

Also looking for a couple of referees to set up tournament tables and observe/report the battles, cap at 3 and will receive a stock reward. Referees must have access to and be familiar with the training rooms.

Just popped in to say hello to all and update my status. I was discharged from the hospital and moved to a rehab facility, Be on dialysis for a while so I wont be able to play and World of Warships but will be able to take part in the meetings. Just need someone to send me the TS info & password to myTAW email. Look forward to being back in the saddle. I miss playing my Sims and my Buffalo

Twitch - TAW Mandatory Sessions, Clan Battles and Solo Play - Oh My.

As most WoWS EU and some NA people will be aware I Juneau, commissar of the 22nd Detonation Group (Unofficial nickname) stream my World of Warships(Warplanes?) escapades on Twitch

The schedule at minimum is the Wednesday and Friday mandatory, though normally Naval Battles and what not will be pick up on weekends along with other events as and when I can commit.

At the moment, I'm also fairly active in the competitive team in either Bravo or Alpha so when ever I am playing the Stream will be running for Clan battles.

When ever it is a TAW event, the TAW name is in the stream header, the logos are on the page and what not and I do my best to represent TAW positively in all my games, I would appreciate if youre on twitch, you could throw me a follow and when ever you see a TAW tagged event, jump on and support the team! We've had some positive mentions over the last year from CCs and WG including getting some prime time during KOTS and this stream is my way of helping!

It is worth noting you can subscribe and depending on the numbers I can potentially earn money through this - so far when this has happened it went straight back into the give away for mostly TAW members (core viewers!) and I will maintain this for as long as I am a member of the community!

Greuter meets Flambass

Greetings -

Let me start off by saying I do not know Greuter, nor have I ever meet him/her. But this morning, while catching up on some Flambass videos (I love WoWS, btw) I happened to see a TAW tag pop up in the video. CLICK HERE. Please accept my apologizes if there is questionable language in this video that breaks TAW regs, but I want to shine a spot light on this individual, 1st Lieutenant Greuter. Not only are they in a video with the famed Flambass, but they also have represented our community exactly in the ways TAW was founded upon.

While under fire, 1st Lieutenant Greuter not only provided essential teamwork to others around him/her (taking out the enemy Jean Bart), but also stuck up for another non-TAW team member, while other non-TAW team members criticized their playing ability. Regardless what happens in games across our extensive community, TAW members should never be the aggressor, criticize, condemn or complain. TAW members should always take the high road and this is an excellent example of that. I salute you, 1st Lieutenant Greuter. This seemingly small gesture by you, has an effect that reminds us all how we should represent TAW at all times to the highest level possible.

Moskva builds with the legendary upgrade?

Having got the Moskva legendary upgrade (for slot 6) I've been trying to get a build for it, I hate losing turret rotation speed, so at the moment I'm trying this, but any other suggestions muchly appreciated...

Net result from LU + MBM2 + Mike Yankee Soxisix seems to be; 2% better turret traverse, 4% better main battery dispersion (than if ASM1 was mounted), 8% main battery range gain, no loss of secondary performance (Moskva doesn't have torps anyway). On the downside main battery reload increases by 5% from 10.3 to 10.9 seconds, as a result of MBM2.

Flanking cruisers:Stay with the main force but not on front line, see what the situation is and have them push weak flank

Computer down for a few days

so my hard drive basically died and I am having it replaced. That will take 1-2 days and I will need to redownload WoW. That will take another few days due to Internet speed here. I apologize for being out of commission but it was beyond my control. Will be back on hopefully by week’s end!
