This medal is given TAW members who have fallen from our ranks due to injury. It is given in honour of their dedicated service. The Order of the Purple Heart is awarded due to real life injury (breaking both arms). It is with great sadness to see him go, I’m honoured to have him as my DO and hope he getting healthy again fast and wish for a fast recover. Hope you are able to return to us soon.

Apex Legends are hosting their first tournament of 2021!

Open to all of TAW.

When is the tournament?

Taking place Saturday the 27th of February. For start time in your region refer to the websites events schedule.

Please show up 15 minutes before the tournament start time.

Where to play Apex Legends?

You can play for FREE on either Steam or Origin.

For those who want some practice or need to be shown how to join custom lobby's, feel free to join the Apex Legends event the Friday before.

If you're a solo player, just leave the teammate section empty and you'll be assigned a team.

The Golden Girls will be hosting a SEASON 7 Launch party Stream starting on November 5th

The stream will be hosted on our Twitch TV Channel TAWTV at http://www.twitch.tv/tawtv

throughout the stream, we will be giving away SIX 1000 apex coin Cards that you can use in-game.

Viewers will be given viewer points to add to the community fund to start the raffle. members that are viewing can get raffle tickets to be in the draw. members get a higher chance of winning if they are following, subbed, or cheered. they have watched being recorded by a Twitch Bot.

So the more you watch the more raffle tickets you get for the drawing and the better chance of winning!

Note: Yes, your name can be drawn six times and you win all 6 Cards. Also, I do not mind you leaving the stream up while at work or asleep. As the point of this is to get viewers to get higher on the twitch page to give TAW exposure.

APL Retro Game Nights

Good news to announce the idea of retro game nights was brought up to us by onykage so ofcourse we are setting it up!

To begin with we will run retro game nights once a week and ofcourse subject to change based on our members feedback.

A form has been created to record responses from members who wish to see specific games in our game nights.

Rules:

Game must be free

Game must be a public platform ex. steam, origin, epic games, etc. (no cringe download sites)

Game must be multiplayer based obviously.

TAW WIDE: Apex Legend's Tournament

Apex Legend's Division Highlight Clip

We are setting up a TAW tournament where each team will run 5 matches and will be awarded points based the parameters listed below.

Every member of TAW is welcome and encouraged to participate, we will be setting up a signup sheet in the forums and shooting for a tournament date of 7/18/2020 "13:00 EST / 19:00 GMT+2

tournament is going to be kept within private servers. So please show up 30 minutes prior to start of tournament for organizing.

Apex Legends is a free-to-play Battle Royale' style game that pits 60 players in squads of 3 against each other in a race against the clock for the ultimate prize to become Champions of the Arena!

In Apex Legends you choose one of 13 Legends, each with a unique backstory and a specific set of skills and abilities to aid your team to the final circle, you will need to think fast and make split second decisions to stay alive.

You start by jumping out of the drop ship and selecting one of the many locations on the map to find loot. Once you hit the ground, its a mad dash to find the best Armor, Guns, and Equipment hidden in loot chests and scattered around on the ground. But, don't expect the same tier loot every time you pick one location as the loot spawns are varied and you could end up getting stuck with low tier loot.

Get a kill, and you can loot that players death box for better tier loot and ammunition. But be careful, take too long looting one box and get sniped from across the map by one of the legendary sniper drops the game spawns randomly throughout the match.

If you go down, your team can revive you or if need be, collect your death box banner and re-spawn you at one of the re-spawn beacons located around the map.

But beware, if you are re-spawned into the arena you will be completely stripped of any loot you collected and must find something to defend yourself with quickly because other teams can see the re-spawn ship coming in and will be on the hunt for an easy kill.

If you cannot attend and have signed up please let APL staff know, as soon as possible.

Games are to be recorded or streamed with a member of TFO or a AL as referee's.
Code of Ethics are to be reflected at all times when playing

New legend ideas

I think there is need for a new healer, to be honest. Lifeline is getting a bit lonely.

- Proximity healer (similar to Lucio from Overwatch/Heroes of the Storm)

- Perhaps a support/healer with a stun option on him-herself or on a teammate

Any other ideas for a new potential healer or perhaps a totally different type of legend?

North American Battalion Recruitment Drive

- Every recruit that comes in and makes it to PFC and uses your name as a referral during their registration will give you 1 point
