The application process is a fairly easy process to understand. Following these steps will ensure that you do apply correctly.
A common mistake made is when people press the "Register" button on the very top right of the web page. This feature only creates a website account for you, giving you access to write on our forums, but does not submit an application to join TAW. To properly apply you need to press the button called "Join Now! TAW The Art Of Warfare". using that button will move you into the Application Form.
Callsign: This is the name you will be known by on both the website and our Teamspeak server, and will serve as your login name as well. Pay attention to the requirements that are written left of the checkbox where you write your name.Minimum requirements: 3 - 17 characters, [a-zA-Z] only. No special characters (' ', '$') No digits ('1','2') No profanity (To clarify, use a clean name, nothing offensive in your name is allowed.) No ranks ('PFC', 'Major') No 'taw' in callsign
No extra or extraneous letters (eg. XxcloudxX, hiyaaaah, or jacyy)
Email: Simply fill in the email account that you want to have connected to TAW. All information that is sent out which concerns you will be sent to this email address. (Certain e-mail addresses work better then others. For example Hotmail tends to place any mails from TAW in the Spam Folder)
Time Zone: This will make sure that the events for the Division you apply for are listed in accordance with your Time Zone.
Battalion: This is were you choose which Battalion you want to apply to. Battalions are subgroups within a Division that divide players into different groups. They are in almost all cases divided depending on your global location. It's divided into two groups: NA and EU. North America and Europe to be specific.
SteamId (Optional):Here you can provide your SteamId. This feature is optional, but allows you to log in to the website using your SteamID instead of your callsign.
Working Microphone: This extremely important. Teamspeak is our main form of communication and it's important that you have a microphone to communicate during practice, as well as chat casually with other members.
Can you attend (two of) that game's meetings (per week)?: This is an extremely important step. Not being able to attend 2 meetings per week will most likely end up with us denying your application. Don't get scared off from applying now, we don't expect you to attend every single practice since your real life takes precedence over the activities we do. However, we want to know that, under normal circumstances, you can attend 2 meetings per week. Were you recruited by a TAW member?: If a TAW member recruited you please write his name here so he can be acknowledged for his contribution. My Location: Choose which country you are from. If you can't find you country then choose "Other", write the name of your country in the comments further down, and we'll make sure it's added to the list in the future. Military History: Check here if you have served in the military. We salute people who place themselves on the front line to keep everyone else safe. Comments: This is where you can write any comments, thoughts, or concerns you might have. Different Games might have some questions under their comments section that they would like to have answered. Agreements: This is an important part of the Application. Check here if you have read our Terms Of Use, Code of Ethics and Privacy Policy. I urge every Applicant to read it through thoroughly so you know exactly what we expect of our members. Now that you have submitted your application, an officer will review and approve or reject your application within 48 hours. If you are not contacted within 48 hours, message any officer in the division you applied to and they should be able to help resolve the situation. When you have been approved, you will receive an email with a link to an audio file that will introduce you to the basics of TAW. Once you've listened to it you have completed the short quiz based on the audio file, you will be assigned a Drill Instructor (DI for short). He will then schedule a Bootcamp with you. During this Bootcamp the DI will explain more about TAW and the SC Division, as well as convey information specific to your designated battalion. When the Bootcamp is done you are a fullfledged recruit of TAW. Congratulations! Credits for this post go to Blondie

Hi, just email your DI and we can set up another time for you to come in and make the bootcamp.

I don't have a DI yet assigned to me. Need to still be approved just waiting im free all day. how long is the boot camp?
Hello Kaidos,
A DI is assigned to you now. You should have a mail about it.
Thanks for the information, this is good for DI's or future DI's to hold onto!
