I was wondering what everyone has for their setup for different heroes. I have all the heroes for the US faction, trying to find a good setup for the heroes that I run. Maybe doing this will also help other members or new members in what they could possibly run on their heroes. Thanks for your time in responding.

It will vary based on your situation and personal preferences, but personally I am working on about 6 different infantry setups. I have a close range grease gun with grenade loadout, then i have a garand and grenade loadout. I also have a garand loadout with bazooka for anti-tank.

I would say ask different people in teamspeak. Play around a bit with what you like - but remember it is ALWAYS good to have 4+ infantry loadouts for any situation you may run in to.

So your saying I should have several different types of infantry? I am currently working on 2 types, well maybe 3 now that I think about it. 1. LMG with grenade loadout. 2. Anti-tank infantry, handgun, stickies and maybe bazooka. 3. SMG with grenade loadout. But I'm also curious about Recon, Para, Tanker and maybe pilot. I've seen some tankers with stickies/H3's and a handgun.

Hi,

I have a US soldier mostly for infantry and I have the following loadout.

Fully upgraded M1903

Ammo: Bertie Clay Mk III (h)

Sight: M84 (German#1)

Trigger: Marksman Trigger Job

Spring: Heavy Bolt

Barrel: Scout II

Fully upgraded Thompson

Ammo: Akicita AMF

Sight: Field Adjusted Sights

Trigger: Field Trigger Job

Spring: Lightened Spring

Barrel: Stainless Steel Barrel

The reason for using these two weapon is that it combines both long range and short range distances. The M1903 fully upgraded will one shot most people, if they don't get one shot you can choose to just shoot them again with the M1903 or you can choose to switch to your Thompson and take him out that way depending on the distance between you and the enemy. So combining these two weapon gives me the best feel to playing a infantry character. This character is of course mostly focused on killing other infantry.

For my badges there is really only one option (if you don't have veteran), hoarder gives you the ammo you are missing by using two different weapons. If you don't use hoarder you will be stuck with one ammo pouch for the M1903 or the Thompson. Having only 30 bullets in a Thompson is not going to get you very far.

If you have veteran getting a heavy set badge is really strong next to the hoarder. Having people not being able to one shot you (headshot is still a one shot) gives you more time to kill them. Also combining the heavy set badge with a medic supply crate on your vehicle helps you out massively, people can't one shot you so you can heal back up and be straight back in the fight.

For me, I have 4 US Infantry loadouts. Personally, I like to have Some kind of Anti-Tank weapon on all my characters, except for one.

  1. Rifle M1903 (Scoped), Revolver and ST Grenade
Badges: Heavy Set + Fast Reload

Used for long range sniping, but the revolver allows you to quickly take enemies that get too close in 2-3 hits to the torso. You can also hip-fire enemies who get too close using the rifle , but I always pull out my revolver to finish them off in case they survive. Stickies are helpful for taking out tanks and pesky jeep drivers playing GTA.
Having an Infantry sniper is excellent for when you are stuck facing many enemy snipers and you don't have Recon troops/Auxiliaries to counter them.

  2. M1919 LMG and ST Grenade
Badges: Heavy Set + Fast Reload

M1919 is an excellent for defense, especially with the high ammo capacity. I still use it for assaults but it won't be as effective as a Thompson in very close-range encounters, such as when you are storming a house. The recoil is quite easy to control, although you may lose track of your enemy with the iron sights. If the enemy is close, you starting shooting before you aim down the sights, and you can even use it to take out long range targets with single, precise shots.

  3.  M1 Garand (Scoped) and Bazooka
Badges: Heavy Set + Dead Eye (Since I haven't unlocked Fast Reload yet)

The M1G modded for 2-hit-kills and the max rate of fire makes an excellent all-round weapon. This can be helpful for when I may have to face some snipers, but also for when I need to get up close on assaults. You can hip-fire rapidly up close with the M1G. I have a bazooka which is used to take out tanks which I can't get too close to.

  4. M1 / M2 Carbine (Scoped), Wrench
    Badges: Heavy Set + Mechanic

This is my least used soldier since he is used mainly for Tank Support. I find that the M1/M2 carbine is not very effective anymore as the recoil is too much and is only useful in short range. I carry a wrench with mechanic badge which I can use to repair tanks faster, and I can quickly hop out to take out any enemy who gets too close to the tank.

Out of all the badges, I can say that Heavy Set and Fast Reload have been the most helpful for me.

Fast Reload gold is incredible, but only necessary for weapons that take a long time to reload, such as the M1903 Rifle and LMGs. If you want, you can instead carry a pistol/revolver which can be pulled out quickly to rapidly take down an enemy, but fast reload is very handy either way.

Heavy Set has reduced the number of my deaths by probably around 30-40%. Can't even count the number of times I've survived bullets into the red with Heavy Set. It is most helpful to stop getting sniped in one shot.
Here is how it works: Heavy Set silver will stop a max damage Infantry sniper from killing you in one hit to the torso, but a max damage Recon sniper will still kill you.
Heavy Set gold will stop even the max damage recon sniper rifle from killing you in one hit. Also, you can survive bigger falls without taking permanent damage.
