Here’s something new: while most games these days have sequels being cooked even before the first entry is released, it seems Ubisoft’s super successful first-person shooter, Rainbow Six Siege, won’t be going the same route.
During the Six Invitational Finals panel earlier today, a lot of details were shared regarding the future of the franchise, and chief among the details shared was for fans to not expect a Rainbow Six Siege sequel! Here’s the summary of the four-hour video embedded below.
Wow! What a lot of news to digest.
I really commend Ubisoft for taking this as a challenge and I hope to see R6S becoming a major competitor to eSports like CS:GO, LoL & DOTA 2.
It is very ambitious and pro-consumer of them to set a challenge of supporting a game for the next 10 years. This makes me super excited for the future of Siege and I hope the improvements to the spectator mode will help bring Rainbow 6 Pro League more popularity and make it easier to watch, I think that will be key.
Up and up for Siege! Thanks for posting NavyChief.
would love to see changes on the less used gamemodes such as secure and hostage as those are both just TDM at this point or distract and jump out a window and win with hostage. apart from that its a real challenge they're taking upon themselfs
