Hello and good day. Not too sure what else you are looking for from the headset but if it is not privacy, the new neck sets are great.  I purchased the Bose for someone last Xmas and have had the chance to use it several times and enjoyed not having a box effect around me. As for comms with the mic, it picked up as good as the hard mic  I have with my headset. I recommend it to anyone who also does not like the feeling of being closed off with headphones on. The prices are decent to at Amazon,

with many to choose from.

I would just do research and check out reviews.  check out youtube as well.   are you looking at just for pc? or headphones to use with phone and other things as well?  do you like bass, or well blend etc.  do you want something with a mic? I have skullcandy crusher 360 heaphones and love them as far as using with my phone.  they are very bass heavy but you can turn that off.  they rattle and it feels like being in a car with bass.  but I don't use for gaming.  gaming, although not Bluetooth but they have there own usb adaptor I have 2 that are both wireless and that I enjoy.  I have a Logitech G935 headset, that I enjoy for reasons, mainly that you can raise the mic up and it mutes that way.  decent sound as well.  then I also have a corsair virtuoso headset.  I use that one now.  the mic comes out so you can replace it or if eating remove.  so that is my only downside with this headset over the Logitech.  however the sound I find a bit better and the mic quality as well.  those both are not Bluetooth but if just for pc, then they are great.

but again I say research.  maybe if a best buy or Walmart, or whatever store has some, maybe see if they have them out to try.

For a wireless headset, it does not get any better than these bad boys.

Check it out, then read reviews, and watch some YouTube videos on them. They will back up how good they are.

I have been using them for over a year, and they are awesome. I have used Logitech, Turtle Beach, Astros, and Trittons. All are good, but these are the best all around I have used.

I checked out the Arctis 1 and 3 yesterday in the shop and they where very decent!

Only than I saw the reviews and I was like alright nope next, but I will check the Arctis pro

I see dutch review site that people are complaining about that the headset is too heavy, and Surround sound is a bit bad.

What you experienced yourself Talisac?

First off, don't buy Astro

Secondly, I have a pair of Sennheiser HD4.50 and they are great. Pricey, but great. However; they don't have a mic on them and means I run a secondary mic, bit of a secondary factor you should be aware of. However its definitely worth it, the Sennheisers are also my daily driver for audio listening and are the best headset I've ever had the pleasure of using. Bassy but still able to deliver high notes accurately.

I personally use SteelSeries Arctis 3 headphones (wired tough) And I think they do the job for a headset very well. The headset feels quite comfortable and sometimes you don't event notice having it on. Also Would also say that the microphone is very clear with sound.

Very happy with my steelseries arctis 7, great sound, good voice quality, wireless and battery life is pretty good so far Smile Software wise it wasn't completely intuative but could be figured out. Had the logitech wireless g933 before they broke but I would consider these better in terms of voice and about the same sound quality but better design and battery life so far Smile Only had them for about half a year though so might be to early to tell ^^

Hey Riddersword,

Not sure what reviews you are getting that are not that great, but I did a google search for "Best Wireless Gaming Headset". And these were my top 5 results. You will see one common headset in all 5 of them, that is the Steelseries Arctis series. To me that says something about a headset when every review has it ranked in the top 3.The Steelseries Pro is their top of the line, and they pulled out all the stops on that headset.

As far as weight, They are not heavy to me, ear cups are comfortable, second most comfortable ear cups I own. Mic is the best in a wireless headset that I have experienced, and there are reviews that do mic comparisons so you can hear for yourself.

They take a minute to get used to because the band that goes across the top is actual steel, so it feels very sturdy and not cheap. But the ski google strap takes a minute to get it set right. It hurt my head on the top till I made an adjustment, now I have no issues, and wear them for hours.

Once hooked up I have not had any disconnect issues. Software is simple to use, and suits all my needs. But if you really want to get into it adjustments, there are videos that go over the software so you know what you are getting. It comes with two rechargeable batteries, and they give you the charger built into the Gamedac. So when one goes dead, you just swap them out and you are consistently good to go. Or you can plug a cord to the headset, and charge that way in case you forget to charge the battery. I have never had that issue, but assume someone could forget.

I don't have many bad things to say about them other then I would like to be able to use them on all my gaming platforms, but you can not use the mic on the Xbox One wirelessly. Just the PS4. There is a lot of features I was looking for when I got this headset, and have had no issues with any of them.

My favorite headset is the Steelseries Arctic Pro.

Here are some other headsets I currently own.

Logitech 933

  • The Good: Cheaper headset. Ear cups were comfortable, mic was pretty good, can use on consoles. Rechargeable battery, lasts a long time.
  • The Bad: Tons of disconnect issues. Felt I was messing with them all the time to have them connected to my PC. No Bluetooth. Rechargeable battery no docking station. If the headset goes dead, you have to plug it in to keep using it. Not a big issue, but would have been nice to have a swapable battery.
Turtle Beach Elite 800
  • The Good: Perfect for consoles, sound great, Bluetooth built in, mic-less setup with very good mic. Rechargeable docking station.
  • The Bad: Cheaply made, I have had two sets break on the arm in the same place. If using them and the battery goes out, you have to dock them to charge them or plug in a charging cable to keep playing. Ear cups are a bit small. Heard bad reviews for PC use.
Astro A50
  • The Good: Large ear cups, Probably the most comfortable of all my headsets. Easy to set up and use. Rechargeable docking station.
  • The Bad: Horrible mic, worse of all my headsets. No Bluetooth. If using them and the battery goes out, you have to dock them to charge them, or plug in a charging cable to keep playing.
Also the docking station is garbage to get it to connect to charge. I have heard the newer model has corrected this issue, but I can not confirm that.

I would say the Turtle Beach is the heaviest headset, but none of them felt too heavy to me. That may be due to my super muscular god like neck. Can hold a VW on the top of my head, no problem. lol

Hope this helps you. Happy headset hunting.

this will be my next one. but you also need a good sound card.

I had the steelserries arctic 7 wireless (2019 edition) for 3 days and send it back cause I didnt like the music sound. Also the surround for battlefield wasn't that nice as it is with my current (logitech g35)

I think tried and true are Logitech headphones. The benefits of the other brands are if you're going to be using the headset on a console. Steelseries have always been on the higher end as far as price, so I've never tried them. Turtle beach, unfortunately in my experience have broke on me in the same spot for a few pairs now.

Logitech, has just been a reliable brand for me personally, and the only reason for replacement has been for upgrades. My daughter uses a logitech keyboard that is nearly 10 yrs old now. And there are always opportunities for sales.
