Assault and Assault/Strike Loadouts

Just wanted to take a moment to post some of our most used loadouts for the Assault Team as reference for anyone that doesn't already have these or some similar build.

 

 

ASSAULT TEAM - Attack Plan 1 options:

Builds designed to keep off radar, launch torpedoes on frigates or subsystems, and get away with speed to survive.

X-Wing is more survivable than the TIE Fighter.  Consider only having 1 auxiliary slot for torpedoes and the other with either Boost Extension or Repair if needed.

Additional Tip: Boosting when launching torpedoes DOES increase the speed of the torpedo to give it a better chance of landing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ASSAULT TEAM - Defense (AI Farm Builds)

 

Best at taking out swarms of AI, can also be used to help focus fire down incoming enemies and do significant damage to the corvettes.

Additional Tip: Goliath Missiles can be dumb-fired up to 2000m at frigates or hull breaches and can destroy numerous turrets at a time.

ASSAULT TEAM - Attack Plan 2 Possibilities:

 

Swap APS for Cluster Missiles to increase the damage output if you're confident in juggling your power systems

 

This Bomber build can take out the MC75 Power Systems and 1 Shield Generator in a single approach from below if it is given a chance.

I'd really like to see two bombers using this build get escorted by a Strike team plus a support running Squadron Mask.

2 Ion Bombs will destroy the power systems.  Rotary plus Beam can take out a shield generator in under 3 seconds.

 

Replace Piercing with Proton Torpedoes if you want this to only be used against unshielded capital ships.

Or use this, launch the piercing torp, get under the shield bubble, and drop bombs when appropriate.

 

 

 

 

B-Wing Options that I don't have any experience using yet for Attack Plan 2 (Now that they've been buffed a little)

These might work better using a Hull other than Reflec if the team is regrouping / escorting / supported with Squadron Mask or whatever:

 

Assault - Attack Plan 2 on Flagship if torpedoes aren't effective at taking out shield generators and/or the flagships shields

BWing Bomber with double Ion Bomb loadout.  I believe totals 80,000 Ion Damage

 

Assault - Attack Plan 1 AND 2 options (multiple Ion Torps and 40,000 Ion Bomb potential)

 

The Beam-Wing Assault Corvette Defense and/or Attack Plan 2

 

 

 

ASSAULT / STRIKE Hybrid Options I've been trying out:

 

Can also use standard lasers or different Engine / Shield Options.  Using Burst lasers would help this lean more towards Assault objective damage

 

 

Good for dogfighting and helping take down shields on frigates / corvettes

 

I also have this build with Ion Lasers and Ion Missiles.  (A flight of XWings built with the Ions could get underneath the Destroyers shield bubble and disable the shield generators, destroy power systems, disable targeting and harass enemy squadrons / protect the corvette -- possible attack plan I'd love to try sometime.)
