Greetings!
If memory serves, TAW supported a Hearts of Iron 4 (HOIV) division for sometime. I am genuienly intereted in how this worked in terms of mandatories and events. If there are any ex members of the division or anyone around still that knows how it was run let me know! If there is anyone else interested in playing sometime hit me up! Thanks.
Rainbow Six Siege
Never played it with TAW, but I'm playing HoI4, Stellaris, or CK3 at least once a week. Still not much into EUIV but i have played it.
hey we are sometimes palying HOI4 in the War Thunder division, come to our discord, so you can join our playing sessions
Stumbled across this old post by sheer chance whilst looking for something else! We used to run 2 mandatories a week (one for EU and one for NA). As the division started out in Vanguard with a small amount of players we played Vanilla HOI with most players picking a major nation.
As we started to grow this become a challenge, so we would run multiple games in a mandatory (20 people = 2x games of 10 players) with a staff member hosting the game. The real challenge was playing the game at the right speed where everyone could keep up (We actually had a mod that disabled the player desync sound because it was incredibly annoying).
As time went on, to keep the game interesting we would put a poll out on our Discord with a choice of mods such as Road to 56, Keiserreich and so on to keep the game fresh and interesting. We would run optionals mid week, although they were much more informal and we played whatever we felt like on the day.Generally speaking playing HOI in a large group is absolutely chaotic but incredible fun, it's all fun and games until you get a great Germany, Russia or USA player then everyone else is scrambling... We certainly seen some interesting takes on alternate history, who'd have imagined the British RAJ declaring on Brazil!
