The tourney went on,

i've lost to a 2e base all in first round, last 5 minutes i joined the tourney without any proper preparations or warmups.

Paddy made it to the quarter finals with a intense game, how ever paddy lost in the 3e round to a terran player (which was a close game)

I'll try to join next week the new tourney with proper preperations.

Hey guys,

I would love to observe some games if possible :), and be there on the chat and learn from the things you say/discuss, I (currently) do not consider myself active enough on ladder to play enough 1vs1 (I do play 2vs2). However, if you are a Protoss player short and I am online (observing :P), I am willingly to step up and join the game and play. So, I hope its OK that I can sometimes observe during these events :P

Highest League: Gold

Race: Protoss

Cheers,

 Awaken(.790 if I am correct)

Practice report 8/6/2013:

This practice was a lot better then the last one, we split into two groups of 3 and 4 and everyone played a lot more then last time, which was great. We tried to pass the "cheeser flag" by whispering to each other, which was not the best idea because one team kept the "flag" to themselves and cheesed every game and because of this everyone expected the cheese while the other group never got cheesed yet they were preparing for it  with all kinds of static defences Big Smile, but that also teaches a lesson .

Next time because every player can play more then two games everyone will have to cheese once per practice. This will also improve our all in and also mimic ladder games a lot better.

Here http://imbabuilds.com/ you can find a page where you`ll see different timings about all races. For example when a proxy oracle should pop up and also different builds for all races.

Important feedback required: Nebose raised a good question. All of us have different problems against a specific composition. As he well said some find it very difficult to play for example against ling/bling/muta. When i was zerg i had loads of problems against paddys late game toss army and practicing with him against that was very helpful. So for this reason how about making an optional weekly event where players can do exactly that, practice vs their worst nightmare?

I feel it is a very good idea to play against that army composition you "cant beat", like I stated, I cant deal with muta ling bling and when the switch to Ultras come in to play I am either weak on tanks or marauders for example. If we force ourselves to play in that scenario we will become better at dealing with the problem at hand rather then saying "BS" and ragequit wich I do quite often :p

Good idea to add to the sessions.

Best regards / Nebose

I think it's a great idea, like that silly 2 base nydus, sh, queen build I haven't accomplish to hold it yet ^^ So, yea it would be good for players to practice, against certain strategies that makes them uncomfortable.

Really like that website since I feel like other than scout better and better inject i need to practice some builds, right now I am just doing whatever I feel like in the early game wich may not be the best thing to do.

Practice preview 8/13/2013:

Hello, next practice will be about harassing with a hotkeyed army/drop/air. The most important thing will be to not lose those engagements, either get a better trade or SAVE IT. Besides that everyone is required to cheese at least one game. We`ll consider cheese any one base play, anything on two bases won`t be considered cheese ! With this in mind pls prepare one cheese. GL & HF

Practice report 8/13/2013:

The focus was harassing with a hotkey army/drop etc We all tried to do it, sometimes it failed due to the fact that it was scouted and killed on arrival, other times players couldn`t set it up due to pressure(if only the player under pressure could squeeze and sneak out a drop, that would be so cool to see in practice). The thing that went very good this practice, and i feel it`s only going to get better, is the fact that everyone has to cheese once per practice. This forces us to always scout and never presume, but scout. This practice as opposed to the one the had its main focus cheesing was much better and people failed more at defending cheeses due to the OMG factor. For the moment most players tend to cheese when practice time runs out, but i feel that they`ll mix it up a lot more in the future.

Noticeable player this practice was Paddy, he always tried to harass in some way, being it warp prism, proxy pylons, oracles. He also did a good job with proxy pylons for spotting drops.

We also had 3 players missing their practice Nebose, Xiled and Bieflapjes.

Hey Majoris,

For the attendance part, you maybe can ask Chaos to make an event for these selected players on the website (I think it should be possible to make it on player level). The advantage then is players can write an excusal prior to the event, so you know who will not show up, and if they do not show up without notice they get an AWOL.Last Friday Chaos told us these events can be signed up and recorded as a regular event, so then its no more then logical AWOL also should be part of it (works 2 ways). Just my 2 cent, if you want to make this event more serous :P.

Cheers,

Hey hey Awaken,

Such a thing is not possible on player level! However, you might wanna consider setting up a google calander for this? And add the attending members, that way you get a notification half an hour before starting time :)

Also if I would make an event majoris would not be able to see the excusals + I don't want this to be a mandatory event, yet. Since we have grown so big we might wanna set up a 2nd mandatory event. Just a thought thrown out there. :)

Have a good one

-Chaos

I know about it, but overall it`s not worth for small groups for many reasons, sadly.
