Yes folks, that worked. just updating the bios did the job. swapped the videocards with ease and installed the latest nvidia driver. Thanks for the help and especially ZackeyTNT

I am gonna go with Alas' and ZackeyTNT's suggestions.mostly because I don't have a spare powersupply or mobo. I know the RAM sticks are in the correct slot since it worked for a year and didn't change anything with it. Gonna try the old card in a different PCI - slot if swapping in the old CPU doesn't work. Thanks for the help guys

PC doesn't give video output after installing new videocard and cpu

Hello folks, Got a bit of a problem here[:'(]. I bought a gtx 1070 and 2700X but now I that I put them in the pc it won't give out a video output. I put the old card back in and now got the same problem. The debug leds of the RAM and CPU are on when it starts up but turn off after a few seconds. There is also a led indicator for the videocard
