War Thunder is a next generation Free-to-Play MMO combat game dedicated to World War II military aviation, armored vehicles and fleets.

War Thunder is currently in open beta, and yet it offers the 5 main factions from World War II. Great Britain, the United States, U.S.S.R, Japan and Germany. Through these 5 factions, a wide variety of aircraft is offered the player to unlock through his in-game career, where XP and levels will be accumulated both for each faction, but also for the overall profile. In World of Tanks style, this XP is used to unlock new aircraft along with a good amount of credits.

There are 3 game modes available. Arcade, Historical and Realism.

Arcade is, a cross faction Team vs Team battle, where you can fight British side by side with German, against Americans and Russians or a mix of everything. In arcade you will have all the planes you have chosen for your faction, available until each is destroyed, while in Historical Battles and Realism, only 1 planes is available.

There is good support for both Mouse + keyboard and Joystick. While the Arcade and Historical functions well with mouse + keyboard, real battles should Only be played with Joystick, due to the complete lack of auto correction.
