Star Trek Online
It is with great pleasure that Vanguard announce that Star Trek Online is to join Vanguard under our newly formed Horizon division with Rinko as the SUL.
As a horizon team this game will initially only be open for external recruiting although a few members will be brought in to help as DIs.
For those interested, the spin up meeting will be this Sunday at 20:00 GMT / 15:00 EST
Any questions or queries please contact the SUL or the VG staff.

9 commentsisn't the game somewhat similar to the swtor type of gameplay?
i would say kinda. but in my opinion sto is alot better. it seams to me to be a little bit smoother. u have two differnt battle that u can play. space. and ground combat. i dont know if star wars is free to download. but sto is a free download. so u can always pop in ts chat and load the game we will glady show u around and see what u think. see you in game.
would just like alittle more insight, you said it was free to play, but then that means theres alot of buy accessories xp lvl ups stuff on the side right? the game has to make a income some how.
so us regular troops can't join this vangard ?
seeing as i have a pretty decent level account and our rules prevent me from joining any other guild or fleet as its called here.
so are we forced to sail as lone buccaneers without a flag or fleet ?
I have a STO account still play the game every now and then, Is Taw forming a Fleet for Sto?
^^ Same here
People, please try and keep this on topic -
The topic is STO being welcomed into Vanguard and TAW.
All other questions should go to the SUL or your own chain of command.
Good luck to Rinko and the members that are spinning this up! It takes a lot of hard work but it is a great thing for TAW.
Note: the fleet in STO is called TAW-Omega
@Calico.....I have posted an FAQ on the vanguard fora, the first one deals specifically with how the FTP structure works. Essentially, virtually all content is potentially free. The exceptions are a tiny handful of perks for subscribers. Cryptic make their money on one off purchases on lock box keys. However, those same keys are available via a player controlled exchange. Additionally, the currency one buys with real money (zen points) is also available for free via ingame mechanics.
@Schyzo...you don't have to transfer to the division to join our ingame fleet. Obviously we'd prefer if you did, but its not compulsory. Add me as a friend ingame (rinko@rinkster) and i'll get you set up in the fleet. As Homer has said, we have called ourselves TAW-Omega.
@All.....Our intention is to set practise times so that, even if you don't want to transfer, you can attend without missing a mandatory practise for another division. We want a strong STO division in TAW, but we also want to create a home in STO for any TAW members who wish to play.
