Vanguard News Train

Welcome to the September 2017 edition of the VG newsletter.

With Rocket League being launched recently as the latest new division of TAW, Vanguard now look to identifying the next batch of new games to bring in.

To widen the scope and being more progressive as a gaming community we are also now seriously looking at bringing in some console teams.

In tandem with that goal, Talisac has set up communities for both PS4 and Xbox and any TAW member that wants to join them can. Here is a link for more information about the console clubs. Exciting times but lots of challenges to overcome.

Blackwake

Mandatory event times

Not much of an update for you. The team is stable and doing okay. Whilst the team is not large it does have a dedicated bunch of players.

Recruitment has not been easy and has been hampered of late due to some server issues.

Should you want to try the game out of just play something different please catch up with TCael for guidance.

Crossout

Mandatory event times
- NA Saturday 21:00 EST
- EU Saturday 19:00 GMT
Optional event times
- NA Wednesday 21:00 EST

Crossout has made rapid progression since becoming a spin up team. It was only a horizon for a short period of time before flipping to a full spin. Part of that decision was due to the phenomenal effort with recruitment which has recently see the team top over 100 members. (Great work guys, appreciate the effort everyone has put in.)

With the team growing so fast, the joint battalion which had served its purpose has now been broken down into NA and EU battalions respectively. The NA battalion is looking very good with most positions filled. The EU is a little further behind the curve but with Knightsabre recently transferring in to serve as the SO we are making steady progress.

This hive of activity will continue all through the month as we work towards the target of having this team moved up to tier one and ready to launch by end of September.

Anyone wanting to try the game out or just want to get some advise please don't hesitate to drop in. If there is a slot on a team at a mandatory or optional event you would be most welcome to join in.

RaGe who is SUL for CT or any of his team would be more than happy run a few matches or give guidance as needed.

Elder Scrolls Online

Mandatory event times

- Joint “PvP Event” Wednesday 20:00 EST 01:00 GMT Thursday

Recently ESO was moved up to Tier 1! This means we are ready to go and are staying focused on recruitment and retention. Currently we have 2 mandatory events and 2 optional events that everyone can attend. Anyone wanting to drop in for a game or two is more than welcome.

The latest update is out soon and includes various bug fixes as well as brand new content such as Armor sets and new dungeons.

Foxhole

Mandatory event times

Foxhole is new team not too long in TAW which has recently been flipped to a full spin up team.

Primary focus is recruitment and retention which will then enable team to grow and additional staff positions to be filled.

Most recently WalterChambers was stepped up as FS for the NA battalion.

HORIZON DIVISION

Albion Online

Mandatory event times
- EU Wednesday and Sunday at 19:00 GMT
- NA Tuesday AND Sunday at 21:00 EST

Since its launch in Vanguard in July 2017, the Albion Online division has grown to 20 active players (both NA & EU). Our optionals are held on an almost daily basis.

In game, the guild is involved in all game aspect. From crafting to PVP, the TAW name is being seen and heard about on a regular basis.

A message from From SUL Avguste

I would like to take this opportunity to thank every TAW member who has helped us get started in Albion. From interested and involved with AO all the way up to SOCOP and Vanguard Command, those members are countless and our current success is also thanks to their help.

A special mention to both Odoq (BF 1) and Quebec (ARC 1) who have become an integral part of the Albion Online Division and are contributing daily to our growth and success.

LTC Avguste Albion Online SUL

ARK: Survival Evolved

Ark is a new spin up team that is still to have it’s spin up meeting. (although we are looking to schedule it soon)

With new servers that went live last week and server population that is maxed out across all servers, there has never been a better time for TAW to try and spin up a Ark team.

There has been a few issues getting our members into the server but it’s getting better.

Vanguard staff are very hopeful of good things with this team so watch this space.

Destiny 2

Mandatory event times
- Still to be set

There has been alot of interest in this game and as a consequence VG expectations are quite high.

Currently we are looking to get the initial staff identified and in position so that when the game releases we are in a good place to develop and grow the team.

In time we are hopeful that we can get a console team up and running for DS2 as well. Talisac did a good job last time out so will be working closely with the VG staff as we figure out how to make it work.

Rising Storm 2 Vietnam

- Joint Battalion Sunday and Thursday 02:00 EST / 19:00 GMT

- Joint Battalion Tuday 02:00 EST / 19:00 GMT

The RSV team has had a few teething problems including the loss of it’s SUL a little while back. Despite this setback, the team have not given up and are still trying trying to develop and grow the team with VG TFO covering the SUL role.

Due to small numbers currently and to manage the team more efficiently the NA and EU were merged into a Joint battalion.
