Valheim, developed by Iron Gate Studios, and published by Coffee Stain Publishing, is an open world survival sandbox, released on Steam in Early Access on February 2, 2021.

 

 

Players are thrust into the roles of Vikings, who were sent into the afterlife in order to combat the creatures besieging Valheim, the tenth Norse realm. Being the newest guardian of the realm, you are tasked with slaying the ancient enemies of Odin and the gods, and bring order to the realm of Valheim.

 

 

 

 

Players are able to explore a procedurally generated world, of their choosing. Venturing into dark forests, climbing onto snow covered mountains, and looking upon long lush valleys. If that inner viking in them is there, they can take to the seas and try to explore it, with the risk of awakening something....

 

 

 

 

Ever dreamed of being the lord of your own Norse village? Well, now you can be. Build your own houses, mead halls, and even castles, with a powerful construction interface in game. You can even build legendary vessels to conquer those seas and discover new lands, rich with resources and new dangers to conquer. The limit is your own imagination Viking.

 

 

 

 

Survive in this harsh and cruel world, as you fend off creatures and find resources to build your towns, and feed yourself. Craft yourself powerful weapons and armor, as well as food and mead to prepare yourself for any encounter ahead of you.

 

 

 

 

Don't do it alone! Take a friend with you, or 9. Whatever floats your Long-ship! Players are able to play in co-op on self hosted servers, or dedicated servers, and explore the world of Valheim with all its beauty and dangers. It is recommended to play within a party of 3-5, as the game is still in Early Access, and there is still things to be fixed and improved as time goes by.
