Vanguard: On The Horizon April Edition

    The Cycle Season Two

Dive into The Cycle, a free-to-play shooter from YAGER that blends competitive with cooperative gameplay as you compete for resources on a hostile planet.

Each match of The Cycle will see you leap onto Fortuna III and fight with or against other adventurers, seeking to claim as much loot as they can from the planet without being killed in the process.

Choose a faction from the station before dropping onto the planet and then complete its quests to earn more points and crafting materials you can use to improve your gear for the next run.

Form and break alliances on the fly, but watch out for monsters that grow more dangerous as the timer ticks down and a radiation field that’ll fry you like an egg. Survive and escape with your loot and come out on top!

    Deadside

Deadside is a hardcore multiplayer shooter with large open world and wide gameplay possibilities.

Deadside gets you into a realistic game environment full of hopelessness and despair.

It tries to keep balance between the dynamics of the shooter and the hardcoreness of “survival” gameplay.

The world of the game does not imply the existence of fantastic elements like zombies or anomalies, concentrating the player's attention on realistic aspects of life on the ruins of the dead civilization.

    The Last Oasis

    ABOUT THIS GAME

Last Oasis is a Nomadic Survival MMO. Earth has stopped rotating, and the last human survivors need to outrun the scorching Sun in a massive Open World.

    Walkers

Traverse the world on your walker: a wooden, wind-powered machine inspired by Theo Jansen’s amazing strandbeests. Walkers are mobile bases that can be adapted for travel, transportation, harvesting, and combat. Personalize your walker to fit your needs with a multitude of structures, attachments, and upgrades!

    The Scorching Sun

The sun burns the land in the west, turning it to dust. In order to stay ahead of the obliterating sun, nomads must explore new territories that slowly emerge on the eastern horizon, where the Earth has long been frozen in impenetrable ice.

    The Lore

After a cataclysmic event halted the Earth’s rotation, the planet was split into two extreme and deadly environments. Only a narrow region between the burning and freezing halves of the planet can support life. This region moves as the planet orbits around the sun, and all living creatures must migrate with it to survive. In order to keep moving, the remnants of humanity have built nomadic machines, and a walking city called the Flotilla.

    Survive and Thrive

Survive by exploiting what’s left of the world: find a source of water, hunt ferocious creatures, fend off pirates, brew mind-bending Vitamins, and uncover hidden walker technologies. Build autonomous machines to harness the power of the wind. Claw your way from a ragged nomadic trader to the heights of a mercenary king, fleet commander, or a legendarily-rich merchant.

Trade in a Player Driven Economy

There are trade networks that stretch between the discovered oases. In this global, player-driven economy, smart and quick traders can take advantage of supply and demand to make huge profits. Other nomads may opt to produce or hunt down rare and highly localized resources. It’s always wise to consider potential competitors first, though. Threaten another clan’s operation, and you may become their next target.

Travel and Explore an MMO-Sized World

The large, open world is made up of many interconnected oases that are over 100km2 each. Potentially thousands of oases exist simultaneously – the number automatically adjusts to accommodate the size of the playerbase. Explore them to reveal new and unique biomes while plundering their limited resources. Some nomads may pitstop to refill their water. Others will settle for some time, but ultimately everyone will pick up and voyage east to escape the encroaching sun.

    No Offline Raiding

The Wasteland is a safe, open stretch of desert that sits between the last livable oases on Earth. It can be used to travel to adjacent oases, or as a place to hide your walker and safely log off with all your belongings.

    Melee and Walker Combat

Last Oasis features dynamic, skill-based directional melee combat. Nomads can choose their weapon from a wide range of both one and two-handed swords, maces, axes, and quarterstaves. If you prefer ranged combat, you can customize your walker with weapons like ballistas, scattershot guns, repeaters, or even giant slingshots. Specialize in one or become a more versatile fighter by trying to master them all.

    Building Bases

Construct portable bases or more permanent fortifications to protect yourself from hostile nomads and wildlife. Stone walls offer superior defense, while lighter wooden structures are able to be packed on large walkers and relocated.

    Solo Experience

Individuals and small groups of players have as many opportunities as clans to prosper. Clans might control territories and lead the economy, but cunning traders, skilled mercenaries, agile hunters and pirates will find niches that better suit solo play. While solo play will always be a viable playstyle, social features like voice chat make it easy to meet new friends and team up to kill some of the largest creatures.

    Clans and Warfare

Grow your clan into a political and economic power. Control a region and get rewarded with a supply of local resources gathered there by roaming nomads. Make alliances to protect your income, because war is always around the corner. Enemy clans will challenge your control and threaten to take away everything you’ve built.

    Grappling Hook

Master the vertical movement. Every Nomad owns a grappling hook; it’s a tool that can be adapted to almost any playstyle. It’s all about your skill: some struggle to climb the smallest rocks, while others swing through forests outspeeding the fastest Walkers.

    Sandworm

Dubbed "The Long Ones", these roaming creatures are the biggest threats nomads will face. The worms are ravenous. Once the beast focuses on a walker, it loses sight of everything else. In order to defeat the worm, experienced nomadic hunters must band together. Entering its territory underprepared will mean certain death. If the hunters succeed, they’ll have a reason to tap a few barrels of fermented cacti. They’ve just gotten their hands on some of the rarest and most sought-after resources – enough to make their entire crew rich and powerful.

    Black Desert Online

Black Desert Online is a sandbox PC MMORPG published by Kakao Games. BDO is an MMORPG that features castle sieging, trading, crafting, player housing, parkour, animal husbandry, investment banking, fishing, cooking, carpentry, and loads more.

Players will enjoy jaw-dropping graphics, intuitive skill-based combat, and immersive story encased in an expansive world just waiting to be explored.

Accompanied by a Black Spirit, a companion whose destiny is intertwined with their own, players will discover the secret of the Black Stones and the history of their corrupting effects.

    7 Days To Die

7 Days to Die is an open-world game that is a unique combination of first person shooter, survival horror, tower defense, and role-playing games.
Play the definitive zombie survival sandbox RPG that came first. Navezgane awaits!

This game also has a lot of modded servers.

    Hunt: Showdown

In Hunt, you play patron to a "Bloodline" of bounty hunters, all seeking their fortune amid the rot of a 19th century Louisiana that has been overrun by demons.

Your task, in the main bounty-hunting mode, is to find the lair of a legendary monster within one of two festering open world maps, using your sorcerous Dark Vision to chase swirling blue sparks to clues that narrow down the search area.

Having slain and exorcised the abomination, you must collect a bounty and head to a map exit to complete the match.

Along the way you'll fight or avoid myriad lesser horrors - from vanilla zombies who can be treated as speed bumps, providing you don't overlook the ones waving cleavers or torches, to chunkier threats such as the Meathead, a one-armed juggernaut that sees by way of a slithering entourage of leeches.

You'll earn both character XP and coin for slaying these minor foes, but every bullet or firebomb wasted on a demon dog (and every bandage applied to your shredded flesh after discovering that the dog has friends) is one less to pit against the boss itself.

There are three of them, right now - you never know which you're up against before starting a match, so it's wise not to specialise too much when equipping guns and consumables.

The Butcher is the soft option, for all its bulk: a porcine bully armed with a flaming hook, easily slaughtered providing you keep your distance.

The knife-wielding Assassin is wilier, dissolving itself into a cloud of flies in order to course through the crevices of barns and windmills; it can even clone itself to distract you, like a lizard discarding its tail.

Worst of all, though, is the Spider, a viciously nimble wall-crawler that always seems to be behind or above you, its rattling feet setting your hairs on end. Many hours after first killing one, I still feel the urge to stand on a chair while fighting it.

    Ready Or Not

VOID Interactive's Ready Or Not is an intense, tactical, first person shooter that depicts a modern day world in which SWAT police units are called to defuse hostile and confronting situations.

    Realism First

VOID interactive have consulted with police teams globally in order to create rules of engagement and a scoring system that are both challenging and realistic. In order to push the bar further with realism, Ready Or Not models ballistic penetration, ricochet, kevlar and plate dynamics, as well as projectile expansion and momentum.

    Robust and natural controls

Explore a deep and involved weapon handling and player maneuvering system, geared towards providing officers with an unprecedented level of control over their situational effectiveness. Ready Or Not utilizes a simple and organic control scheme which won’t have players fumbling around, forgetting dozens of keybinds.

    Planning system

Organize an approach and strategize through floor plans and mission briefs, then execute the mission in real time. Officers can decide to deploy with items such as ballistic shields, door rams, tactical ladders, and much more. Swat units can also choose to enlist personnel to assist with the situation, including sniper teams and negotiators.

    Command your team

Team leaders will command a smartly-designed team of ai officers in singleplayer with either an onscreen command interface, or through speech with a robust and finely-tuned speech recognition system. This speech recognition system can also be used to yell for compliance at suspects and civilians.

    Diverse modes

Bring order to chaos online with friends through a tactical cooperative experience, lead a crack team of ai-driven swat members in a solo, story-rich campaign, or battle a rogue organization in a fierce and competitive multiplayer environment.

    Intelligent customization

With access to over 60 unique items, players are given the tools to tackle any situation. The right combination of weapon optics, muzzle modifications, magazine types and foregrip variations gives an officer the edge in combat. Alternatively, load up with plates and heavy armor to prevent a quick end, at the expense of agility. Officers can also personalize their unit with team-specific patches and uniforms.
