2nd Battalion Newsletter

Hello TAW!

We will be posting a weekly update of what is happening in ARMA III 2nd Battalion. The content will contain promotions (feel free to send your congratulations), modpack updates and changes, along with some great photos and videos of what we get up to in our operations!

Donations

A battalion like ours doesn’t run on it is own. We are therefore still asking everyone for a small donation. It could be as small as 3 euro/pound a month. Every donation is appreciated and will be used to improve our game experience and to give us a chance to expand.

Currently, we have raised 21% of our server upkeep for 2018. That means we did NOT reach our monthly goal. This means that we are slowly falling behind in donations.

If you have any interest in any of these positions, please do not hesitate to apply for them.

You may not be successful in your application for the position of your choosing but we may have a different position available or becoming available and unless you put your hand up we won’t know you are interested.

Attendance Policy

Attendance rules will from this point forward be more strictly enforced as per Division Policy. Attending 10 minutes late or leaving 10 minutes early will now no longer mark you as attended for the event.

Command understands that real life comes first and that there are some situations that are just out of your control. So please contact the SO if there are extraordinary circumstances for you being late or leaving early.

Radio Chart

From today we are using a new radio freq chart. In this chart, you can find the squads/fireteams with their frequency. This will go into effect this Sunday.

The Fighting Season Campaign!

Starting tonight (13/3/18) we have a new campaign which is based on The Fighting Season which can be viewed on Netflix. IMDB page here

This will be a different take on our usual operations where we will role play as the US Army using all of their equipment and uniforms.

We will also be implementing some more hardcore gameplay restrictions to try and give an extremely immersive experience of the conflict that took place in the middle east!
It is our hope that this will be one of the best campaigns yet and it would be great to see

some new faces turn up!

Our operations start at 1900 GMT Tuesdays and Sundays.

Recruitement

We need to recruit in order to grow, this can be done in multiple ways:

• Playing on our liberation server
• Playing on public servers
• Contacting friends
• Interacting in chats or post on forums
• Twitch Streaming / YouTube Videos

New recruits will not only give us more people to play with but also gives a better game experience. 

There is a reward system in place that will grant you badges and for the really dedicated member a medal. You will receive badges for every 5 guys you recruit. At 25 you receive a Recruiting Award. This award is a medal.

Message from the PIA

The newsletter has been updated to a modern version, as you can see. The thing that I am looking for and need are content creators. This can be done through videos/streaming/screenshots editing etc. Anything that is game related could be used on social media.
