DayZ Enters Vanguard
Greetings Everyone,
I am proud to announce that the Vanguard Staff and Army Command have brought in Dayz Vanguard.
DAYZ is a gritty, authentic, open-world survival horror hybrid-MMO game, in which players follow a single goal: to survive in the harsh post-apocalyptic landscape as long as they can. Players can live through powerful events and emotions arising from the ever-evolving emergent gameplay.

Well now guys, I'm sure there's other people perfectly capable of spinning up a division ;)
In all seriousness, it's a shame that it has taken this long to find people to spin it up, a full six months after the beta was released. I hope there's still interest in the game! It should also be interesting to see how you fit a game like this to TAW's style. Luckily Rust has already seen some success.

I think now is the best time to get it off the ground, Blue. The previous versions of this game really haven't been in a long-term playable condition to start up a Division. If they had done this 4 months ago for example they probably would have had a bunch of people join, then quit a few weeks later, then rejoin, then quit, etc.. It was just the way of the community, but I think it has balanced out a little since then.
Can anyone enlighten me in how mandatories will be run? I would take 30 minutes to assemble the battalion in 1 place for an event without vehicles such as helicopters readily available to the division :S

I doubt they could answer that at this point. It's not even been put together for 24 hours.
