Greetings Everyone,

I am proud to announce that the Vanguard Staff and Army Command have brought  EverQuest back to Vanguard.

EverQuest [EQ] actually consists of two components: EverQuest Next and EverQuest Landmark. EverQuest Next is a free-to-play, next-generation sandbox MMO built on the ForgeLight engine. EverQuest Next is the third installation in the sandbox type MMORPG franchise currently under development by SONY Online Entertainment (SOE) using the Planetside 2 engine. Unlike EverQuest II, this game is not a direct prequel or sequel; EverQuest Next is a re-imagining of the universe, taking place in a parallel Norrath. Landmark is an online social building game where you can create anything you can imagine. Landmark features cutting edge technology and tools. Build and explore a world unlike anything you've seen before.

Newly Added : Voel Water & Guilds are bringing life back to Landmark also this weekend we shall see and get a set date for weapons and NPC's implemented.

Release date: TBD, currently in closed beta

More information can be found on the game websites:

I don't think Everquest left, it just appears to have taken a 2 week vacation.
