FREE Servers for DayZ
In a status report last month, Bohemia Interactive put out a call to hear about the DayZ clans and communities out there. They would select the top 3 and give them free server hosting for one year as well as the option of a private shard to go with it. Of course, we couldn't resist this opportunity and we had to enter ourselves into the mix. There were so many entries it took the developers an extra two days after the scheduled announcement date to come up with the winners. I am proud to say that we are one of the top three communities chosen out of hundreds and hundreds of entries. The announcement was done in the most recent status report found here.
Our current server costs about $97 per month to keep up and running. With this free server we will save nearly $1200 so this is an absolutely huge prize! We will now have our own private server as well, which is something we have always wanted but wasn't financially viable. Congratulations to everybody in DayZ division, you guys and gals deserve it!

Congrats to the DayZ division! Where can I find the server info? I will make sure to visit you when I am playing DayZ.
Our server info can be found in the "Gaming Channel- Casual Play" description in Vanguard on Teamspeak. However, pending on my conversation with the developers, the IP may be changing as I am not sure if the prize is an entirely new server or a one year credit to our existing server.

Everybody is more than welcome to play with us Tengs. DayZ has a very steep learning curve as far as navigation goes, but we nearly always have somebody on TS an they will be willing to give you a hand in learning the game. :)
